Chapter 136

November 15th, Saturday.

After the Gym crisis was successfully resolved in a more troublesome way, Qingyu rarely slept in.

It wasn't until Eevee had quietly finished watching another movie and, driven by hunger, had to return to the bedroom to rub against his cheeks that Qingyu slowly woke up.

Speaking of which, when I raised cats in my previous life, I always felt that the cat's saliva was sticky, but Eevee's scent made him feel very at ease.

Is it really the case, or is it psychological?

Can't figure it out.

After getting up to wash and preparing food for the two little guys, Qingyu suddenly realized a very important thing—

He seems to have no work...

After the Gym assessment, he, exhausted, had already hung up a sign saying "Closed Today" at the door, so there would be no challengers.

Then, what should he do?

It seems there is nothing to do today; why not just slack off for a day.

Since things have come to this, let's play with the phone first.

Qingyu went straight back to bed like a salted fish, preparing to watch videos comfortably for a while.

However, just as he opened PokéTV, intending to find some fun to watch, a private message content suddenly caught his attention.

【Nessa:

Teacher Yu, this afternoon is the match day for the Galar Ranking Battle, and I will be battling Mr. Milo at the Turffield Stadium.

In this battle, I will change my thinking based on your advice. If it is convenient for Teacher Yu to watch the match online, can you please help point out my shortcomings in this battle?】

Nessa from Galar?

After receiving the message, Qingyu thought for a while and soon recalled that this was indeed the case.

Just last week, he used Breloom to overturn Nessa's rain team and was found by her in the live broadcast room to tip, so he gave some advice.

Getting to know Gym Leaders from other regions in this way can be considered a kind of fate.

Anyway, there is nothing to do today, so Qingyu agreed decisively.

Galar region, Turffield Stadium.

As a region where the entire League has been thoroughly commercialized, Galar's Gyms are very different from other regions.

Because there is no position of Elite Four, the strength requirements for first-tier Gym Leaders are higher;

In addition, major Gym Leaders will spar with each other on an annual basis to compete for tickets to the Champion Cup knockout tournament.

And these highly topical matches naturally require stadiums of sufficient size to accommodate passionate local audiences, coupled with the influence of the region-specific Dynamax phenomenon, so stadiums with larger footprints have gradually replaced Gyms.

Today, Turffield Stadium will usher in a revenge match.

In the player lounge, Nessa held a Dive Ball, looking thoughtful.

About ten minutes before the battle started, the host's passionate shouting had already penetrated the layers of barriers and echoed in the empty room.

As the atmosphere gradually heated up, she knew it was time for her to go on stage.

After taking a deep breath, Nessa patted her cheeks, as if cheering herself up in this way.

"This time, I will win!"

After saying this, Nessa soon appeared outside the player tunnel, walked into the field with confident steps, and waved to the audience in the seats with a gentle smile.

Her gaze met the Rotom Drone responsible for the live broadcast for a moment.

"Holy crap, Nessa is really cute!"

In a corner of the internet unknown to anyone, Qingyu, who started the broadcast at light speed, just caught this scene and blurted out.

【I said why did the prompt suddenly pop up, so the streamer started broadcasting... wait?】

【??? Who are you, why would the lazy dog Teacher Yu broadcast in the afternoon, get out of his body quickly!】

【Isn't this Galar's Ranking Battle? Did the streamer change his career to be a commentator?】

Because it was a surprise broadcast, there were not many viewers in the live broadcast room at first, appearing cold and clear compared to usual.

"Good afternoon, students."

Taking advantage of the time before the battle officially started, Qingyu interacted with the comments for a while.

"That's right, at the invitation of Miss Nessa, today Teacher Yu is going to be unprofessional and guest-star as a commentator to bring you an absolutely wonderful Galar Ranking Battle!"

【Teacher Yu can also commentate?】

【Is it because you gave Nessa advice in the last broadcast? You have face, streamer!】

Through the perspective of the Rotom Drone, Qingyu soon saw Galar's luxurious battle field.

The auditorium with tens of thousands of people was almost full, and the billboards around the field were all international companies such as "Devon Corporation", "GF Studio", etc.

It would be a lie to say I'm not envious.

Even if you put aside how much money you can make, being able to fight a battle on such a field would definitely be a very happy thing.

However, commercialization is not all good for the League.

After the players on both sides quickly arrived at their respective halves and stood still, the battle was on the verge of breaking out.

【Does the streamer think Gym Leader Nessa can win today?】

【To be honest, type restraint is still too fatal, and Mr. Milo's strength is not weak, so it's very difficult~】

【Being able to pull off a Dynamax is already a success!】

"I can't say for sure, let's look at the opening of both sides first; I can only say that the chance of winning is definitely not small."

Qingyu didn't give a definite answer because he didn't know how much preparation Nessa had made for this battle.

However, after all, Nessa is also a fan in his live broadcast room, so he still has to be a little biased.

With the referee's whistle, the match was officially declared started.

Amidst the overwhelming cheers of the audience, Milo and Nessa looked at each other, confirmed each other's serious eyes, and threw their Poké Balls at the same time.

"Gym Leader Milo's starter here is Bellossom, Nessa is still the conventional Pelipper starter, which can be considered an expected matchup choice."

The moment he observed the starter Pokémon on both sides, Qingyu analyzed subconsciously.

"Pelipper triggers the Drizzle ability upon entering the field; now I can understand why Milo would wear a straw hat to battle. Rain is very important for Nessa's team."

"The opponent obviously has precautions too; I guess this Bellossom will most likely use Sunny Day to cover the weather."

Weather battles are an important part of Pokémon battles.

Because weather is extremely beneficial to Pokémon with fixed types, disrupting the rhythm of weather teams is very important.

The simplest way, of course, is to cover it with other weather to make the field favorable to yourself.

In their last encounter, Milo used the same tactic.

"However, I'm afraid Milo is going to suffer this time..."

Noticing the transparent glasses supported above the beak of the small "Kyogre" that calls the wind and rain, Qingyu couldn't help but click his tongue silently.

Oh no, Nessa really learned it!

A short plot, probably only two chapters, used to lead to the next week's Gym tactics~
