Chapter 252: Caitlin: I Want to Give Champion Zhulan a Surprise!

Not Lance's ace Dragonite?

After hearing Champion Zhulan's reply, Qingyu didn't think much at first, but was puzzled why Lance's main force was Tyranitar instead of Dragonite—

But soon, his body suddenly shook twice like an electric shock.

Wait?

You mean... Salamence and Tyranitar?

Salamence is originally a Hoenn region pseudo-legendary, and also the ace of the "late-blooming" aging Elite Four Drake, so it's normal for it to appear in the exhibition match.

As for Lance's Tyranitar, although it's not a Flying-type, which makes people doubt whether he was possessed...

But Tyranitar is indeed the famous Sandstorm Monarch of the Johto region, and together with Salamence, they are known as the famous villains of the Pokémon world.

Although it is not a dragon, it is also a solid numerical monster, plus the Monster group and the characteristic of being able to learn Dragon Dance, it is favored by many senior trainers.

With the rules of this Dragon-type Master Tournament, it is very reasonable for Lance to take it out.

But putting these two Pokémon together is a bit subtle.

Plus Champion Zhulan's Garchomp...

"Pachirisu!"

A familiar yet unfamiliar Pokémon name was blurted out by Qingyu.

He looked at Champion Zhulan, his eyes inexplicably carrying a bit of enthusiasm that others couldn't understand at all.

"Can you help me borrow a Pachirisu from Caitlin?"

"Pachirisu?"

Because this Pokémon is a bit too unpopular, Champion Zhulan didn't even think of it at first.

But after careful recollection, the image of a small and cute electric mouse Pokémon covered in blue and white quickly flashed in her mind.

Champion Zhulan's brows frowned slightly, but soon relaxed, returning to her usual calm-as-water appearance.

"Are you sure you want to use this Pokémon to participate in the exhibition match?"

"Mm, there are already three Elite Four and Champion main force numerical monsters; if I also follow this set, isn't it too boring?"

Qingyu smiled slightly and continued to explain.

"So instead of continuing to choose powerful Dragon-type Pokémon to fit the theme, it's better to carry forward the characteristics of our Sunshine Gym—"

"Even if it's a weak Pokémon, there will definitely be a stage where it can show its own charm!"

When speaking, Qingyu's eyes were shining.

Pachirisu.

The Electric Squirrel Pokémon first discovered in the Sinnoh region.

Although the appearance is very cute, it has been in the protagonist group in the anime and manga of the previous life, so it is also quite popular.

But if you shift the perspective to the game, its existence is a bit awkward.

Starting from the first-generation Pikachu family, these electric rats mostly uphold their family tradition—

The stats can be low, but they must look cute!

Well, some may not be that cute, but the fact that the base stat total is generally low is a fact.

And in the electric rat family, Pachirisu's base stat total is also the lowest 405 tier, the same as Plusle/Minun.

But at least Plusle/Minun have double battle abilities as features; what do you, Pachirisu, have?

It really does.

As the only electric rat that can learn the double battle god-skill "Follow Me," Pachirisu has its own irreplaceable auxiliary role.

Although later there was Indeedee, which is obviously easier to use, in the early few generations, Pachirisu also ushered in its highlight moment because of this move.

Plus the "Super Fang" that can deal decent damage even as an auxiliary hand, it is not limited to the duty of protecting teammates.

In a state of extreme anger, it can even pose a threat to powerful pseudo-legendaries!
