Chapter 471: You Are Not Allowed to Play Pokémon! Chapter 221

For a good thing without any risk, Qingyu felt that with President Geeta's style, she would definitely agree.

So, mentioning it today can be considered as letting the audience have a preliminary understanding of Terastallization, and we can talk about it in detail later.

"However..., compared to Terastallization, Elite Four Kona should have also discovered the real problem in the battle just now, right?"

For a veteran Elite Four member like Kona, compared to Terastallization, she should perhaps solve the problem that the Pokémon in her team are too slow and easily suffer in official competitions.

Wild battles are about to become a thing of the past. Under the currently running Master Rules, the combat power of the Kanto Elite Four will undoubtedly be further restricted.

After hearing Qingyu's rhetorical question on the screen, Kona couldn't help but lower her head and think.

Just as Qingyu said before, in full-team battles, her Pokémon are all relatively slow, and it is difficult to have the ability to take the initiative in 1v1 situations.

If she could crush the opponent in actual combat, she wouldn't need to consider this problem.

However, if she looks further, to the world stage?

If it were a no-rules wild battle, Kona is confident she wouldn't lose to anyone, but the single-battle mode of full-team battles is indeed not her strong suit.

Although Lance has always been there to defend the glory of the Kanto region in foreign battles. But before retiring, Kona also hopes that she can have one last dance in the Master Tournament, so that people in other regions can remember her, the Ice-type Elite Four of Kanto.

Without needing Kona to speak again, Qingyu predicted her thoughts, blinked at the Rotom camera, and spoke politely:

"Does Miss Kona know Ninetales?"

Qingyu could feel that Kona was seeking a breakthrough.

And very coincidentally—

He really knew such a Pokémon, which should be able to help Kona solve the current problem.

Slow speed is one aspect, and the fact that there is no weather setter in the Ice-type team that can set Snow at the start like Torkoal to further enhance the team's dominance also makes this team look a bit awkward.

Then, is there such a Pokémon that not only has the ability to set Snow at the start but can also perfectly integrate into Kona's current team and become one of her main choices?

There is, brothers, there is!

【Ninetales? This Pokémon seems to be in every region, but why is Teacher Yu recommending a Fire-type Pokémon to Kona?】

【If you can't beat them, join them! Who says an Ice-type Elite Four member can't have Fire-type Pokémon?】

【Wait..., I seem to know Teacher Yu's idea. He is talking about Alolan Ninetales, right? I didn't expect Teacher Yu to even know about such a remote region!】

"That's right, I'm talking about Alolan Ninetales."

Qingyu nodded with satisfaction.

In the current timeline, Alola has only just joined the Pokémon League.

People have very little understanding of this mysterious region, and it has always been known to some people in Kanto and Johto only as a vacation resort.

But I didn't expect that there would really be people in the comments who know about it...

(Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales)

"Alolan Ninetales, or Ice Ninetales, is a special regional form of Ninetales."

While Qingyu spoke slowly, he also quickly opened the team editor and opened the Pokédex.

A fox Pokémon with a white body and some fur showing elegant light blue appeared before the audience.

"Because it has lived on the snowy mountains of the Alola region for years, in the evolution of hundreds of millions of years, this branch of Ninetales gradually gained the power to control ice and snow, and its type also transformed from Fire to Ice."

"Correspondingly, the original Drought ability of Ninetales also changed to the Snow Warning ability that triggers Snow weather."

Following Qingyu's brief narration, people's eyes soon fell on this Alolan Ninetales, which was full of elegant and noble aura, as if it were a holy beast.

【Hiss—, so there is such a regional form. The fire went out, so it plays with ice, right? Don't be too ridiculous...】

【From the moment I saw a Surfing Raichu, I knew there must be something going on in Alola!】

【To be honest, I am more curious about how Teacher Yu knows. Although Alola has joined the League, there are no supporting facilities built yet, and it mainly relies on tourism to boost popularity...】

"Don't ask; if you ask, it's because Teacher Yu learned it when he traveled to Alola as a child."

After Qingyu casually brushed it off, he soon revealed a mischievous smile.

"In addition to the Ice type, perhaps because it is worshipped as the incarnation of a god by the people of Alola, Alolan Ninetales also possesses the Fairy type."

As soon as this was said, the comments were immediately amused.

【Teacher Yu, what should I do if I understand what you mean in a second...】

【Lance: Feed me peanuts, feed me peanuts!】

【Teacher Yu must be doing this on purpose! You are too bad, Teacher Yu. Lance is clearly a friend in the stream, how can you bully your own people like this?】

【Good guy, the Kanto Elite Four are already chaotic, and with a fun-loving person like Teacher Yu stirring things up, I don't know what kind of tricks these four will pull out in the future!】

"..."

Lance, who was in front of the screen, suddenly twitched his mouth, inexplicably feeling a chill behind his back.

The moment he saw Ice Ninetales, he suddenly had the illusion of falling into an ice cave.

If you want to talk about the biggest stumbling block on his road to the championship, it couldn't be anyone other than Kona.

Once, the debutant Lance once thought he was a legendary genius boy, sweeping the Indigo Plateau in the first year and becoming the tournament champion.

It's a pity that Professor Oak hadn't retired that year, and on the road to the championship, he, a newcomer, was well taught a lesson by the old senior.

But it doesn't matter.

After Professor Oak chose to retire and held high expectations for him, the only thing that could stop him from becoming champion was time!

As a result...

In the second year, a red-haired sister came to the Kanto League and taught him another lesson.

The Ice type itself is extremely restrictive to Dragon Pokémon, not to mention that it is four-times restrictive to his main force, Dragonite. It is simply a lifelong enemy.

Thus, the Kanto Elite Four finally formed a pattern of mutual restraint, and everyone could block the footsteps of another Elite Four member from becoming champion.

Until now, Kanto hasn't produced a champion for more than ten years.

Originally, Lance felt that he should still have a chance, but if Kona had one more guy in her hand who could open Snow weather at the start and didn't look like a good person...

Life was already hard enough, and Teacher Yu, you are teaching Kona how to deal with me???

Lance felt a bit unwell.

No, Teacher Yu can't be biased!

Or... let Qingyu give him some advice to see if he can update his lineup as well?

There seem to be quite a few Dragon Pokémon in Paldea... ===== CHAPTER 473 =====
