Chapter 610

February 28th, Saturday.

At midnight, at a time when no one expected, a user named "Azure Feather" on PokéTV suddenly released a video.

Many people were happily scrolling through their phones, but after receiving the notification that "the streamer you follow has released a new video," they suddenly froze in place, then subconsciously spoke, their expressions also somewhat unbelievable:

"Why did Teacher Feather release a new video a day early?"

"Could the sun have risen from the west? Teacher Feather actually became diligent, how could I have such a dream..."

"Vitality ability limited-time return?"

Of course, complaining is complaining, but when receiving this news, Xiang Qingyu's crowd of fans who hadn't slept yet didn't hesitate, immediately clicked into the video, and began to enjoy today's unexpected surprise.

The title of this video is very simple—

"The Origin of Pokémon - Mew"

It has already made it clear that this is not the tactical teaching series that Xiang Qingyu updates regularly, but the mythology series video that had no follow-up after starting.

Regarding this, the audience left comments one after another, saying:

"The dead pigeon who digs holes and doesn't fill them, finally remembered that there is still this series, right? What about the Legendary Pokémon after Arceus? Can you release one episode every day from now on!"

"This time it seems to be Mew? According to the academic research on Mew's genes, it can basically be determined that it is the common ancestor of all Pokémon, right? It seems it has also been classified as a rarer Mythical Pokémon, it's just that the sighting records are really too few..."

"Rayquaza fans are furious, when will it be our handsome Sky God's turn? With the friendship between Mr. Steven and Teacher Feather, I believe he will definitely be willing to recharge!"

"If it's Mr. Steven... are you sure he won't recharge the Earth God Groudon first?"

All along, Mew has been a very mysterious Pokémon, and the number of times it has appeared in human sight can be counted on one hand.

Although the initial version of the Kanto Pokédex made by Professor Oak contained information about this Pokémon, and legends like "Mew is the guardian of the World Tree" have always circulated near Rota, people's understanding of this Mythical Pokémon is still too little.

So, with this curiosity, the audience soon waited quietly for Xiang Qingyu to appear and take them to understand this mysterious legendary existence.

However, at the beginning of this video, Xiang Qingyu did not start with his iconic words as usual.

The first thing that appeared on the screen was actually a strange little kitten that was pink all over, floating in the air, and covering its mouth and giggling.

In addition to appearing, it not only stared straight at the screen without any shyness, but even took the initiative to pose a few poses, and showed classic actions like a peace sign and a wink.

"Me, Mew?"

A part of the fans immediately recognized this Pokémon; it is exactly the protagonist in Xiang Qingyu's video today, the Mythical Pokémon that is elusive and rarely appears in human sight, Mew!

【My god, it's fine that Teacher Feather is so prestigious in the battle field, now even Legendary Pokémon can be summoned?】

【Combined with Teacher Feather's video from the last episode, I now seriously suspect that Teacher Feather is actually the illegitimate son of the Creation God Arceus, so not even only does he know so much historical information, even divine beasts have to give him face...】

【Wait, don't you guys know that Teacher Feather has a very good relationship with Mew? He can even command it to battle. The video of Teacher Feather and Mr. Lance taking down Team Rocket leader Giovanni together was even forwarded by the official account of the Kanto League.】

【Who has nothing better to do than pay attention to this kind of thing... wait? You said what did Teacher Feather go to do?】

After the explanation of some Kanto audience members, the Paldea fans finally understood the reason why Xiang Qingyu suddenly disappeared for two days.

Subsequently, they were immediately stunned.

So the "saving the world" that Teacher Feather said when he asked for leave was actually true?

Because the Paldea region is too peaceful, so he specially traveled far to Kanto to support and help Mr. Lance wipe out Team Rocket in one go...

Can only say, Teacher Feather is still too comprehensive!

Just as the comments were shocked, Xiang Qingyu's voice soon appeared.

"Hello everyone, today is an episode of not-so-serious serious science popularization."

Appearing with the voice was Xiang Qingyu's handsome face that the audience was extremely familiar with.

In the picture, Xiang Qingyu was reaching out to stroke Mew's head, the technique looked extremely skilled, and Mew seemed to have become accustomed to this affectionate action, even actively rubbing against his palm.

Where is there any appearance of a Legendary Pokémon? It is clearly as affectionate as a domestic Pokémon.

"That's right, this little guy is the legendary Mew."

While the audience was dumbfounded, Xiang Qingyu's voice soon sounded again.

At the same time, Xiang Qingyu also stopped the subconscious petting of the cat, and his expression became serious.

Mew, floating beside him, followed suit upon seeing this, immediately straightening its face, appearing extremely serious, but after only a second or two, it couldn't hold it anymore, covering its mouth to keep itself from laughing out loud.

【??? Is this Mew? How come I feel the personality is completely different from what I imagined...】

【Didn't they say it rarely appears in front of humans, there haven't been many sighting records in hundreds of years, how come it immediately became cute here at Teacher Feather's?】

【666, Teacher Feather turned out to be a breeding master, he even adjusted the Legendary Pokémon like this, I don't believe it without some special constitution...】

【Compared to popularizing Legendary Pokémon, why do I feel like Teacher Feather is here to show off Mew? Who asked you???】

Regarding the affectionate actions between Xiang Qingyu and Mew, the comments began to complain one after another.

Legendary Pokémon have always been powerful, cold, and majestic existences in people's minds, and every one of them possesses terrifying power that humans cannot imagine.

Like Groudon and Kyogre of Hoenn, they are each other's arch-enemies, and every time they appear, they will significantly affect the climate, and may even trigger tsunamis and earthquakes, causing immeasurable damage to the Hoenn region.

There is also Ho-Oh worshipped in the Johto region; it is said that its three personal guards were resurrected from the three Pokémon that died accidentally in the Burned Tower, and because of this incident, Ho-Oh, which was originally close to humans, completely disappeared from human sight and has not appeared for many years.

However, a legendary existence like Mew, which has no airs at all and gets along with Xiang Qingyu just like an ordinary Pokémon, instead makes people love it even more.

Because of this, the audience soon felt very curious about its existence.

Soon, Xiang Qingyu introduced again:

"Regarding Mew, our current understanding is indeed relatively shallow, but regarding the hypothesis that it is the ancestor of all Pokémon, the evidence is relatively clear."

"The genes in Mew's body indeed contain the genomes of all Pokémon; just from this point, one can see the relationship between it and other Pokémon."

"As for how to verify this point, it is actually very simple..."

"Mew, come and show them a trick."

While Xiang Qingyu smiled and spoke, Mew also immediately cooperated and let out a well-behaved "Mew" cry, then spread its two short hands, and its body immediately bloomed with a white light.

After the white light quickly dissipated, Mew's figure had already disappeared, replaced by a Pokémon that the Paldea students were extremely familiar with.

Teacher Feather's starter Pokémon, Sylveon!

"Mew~"

If it weren't for its very recognizable cry, perhaps the audience would have thought Teacher Feather was performing magic.

"Because it possesses the genes of all Pokémon, Mew possesses a special ability, which is the ability to transform into the appearance of any Pokémon at will, and can perfectly replicate their abilities and skills."

While Xiang Qingyu spoke, Mew seemed to still have some unfinished business, and took the initiative to display this special ability, successively transforming into the appearance of those Pokémon of Xiang Qingyu.

Finally, a fat-headed fish with a blue body and patterns appeared in the picture; its size was so large that Xiang Qingyu, who was 1.8 meters tall beside it, completely became a background board, and the camera had to be moved back quite a distance to fully include it in the picture.

With the appearance of Kyogre, the originally clear sky immediately showed some haze, as if it was likely to rain heavily at any time.

And the appearance of this Pokémon was also like a thunderbolt exploding again, making the audience only feel their scalps tingling.

【What's the situation? Isn't this Kyogre that controls the ocean in Hoenn legends? How come Mew can even transform into Legendary Pokémon? It's too outrageous...】

【Now I am completely sure, Teacher Feather is just showing off nakedly! Owning a Mew is equivalent to owning all other Legendary Pokémon, it's too perverted!】

【Is this implying that there is a next episode? No wonder Teacher Feather dares to start this Mythology series, will he be able to directly let Mew transform into the appearance of other Legendary Pokémon in the future, and directly come for a zero-distance explanation...】

【No, don't you guys really think that Mew seems to have an outrageous compatibility with Teacher Feather? One is that almost all Pokémon tactics can be pulled out, and the other is even not pretending anymore, directly able to transform into all Pokémon, I don't even dare to imagine how insidious these two combined can be!】

【Hiss—, could it be that Teacher Feather was actually very merciful during the gym challenge, and there is still a divine beast army behind that hasn't been brought out?】

【How come I suddenly feel a bit fortunate, fortunately Teacher Feather is just a gym leader, if he became a member of the Elite Four or a Champion, that would be it, newcomers would definitely not be able to pass...】

Regarding the wailing of the audience, Xiang Qingyu in the video was naturally completely unaware, still smiling and watching Mew, who had transformed into Kyogre, and he soon spoke again:

"I believe many trainers will find this transformation effect familiar, because a special Pokémon called Ditto can also do the same thing."

Before the rain fell, Mew quickly transformed back into its original appearance, while somewhat dissatisfiedly curling its lips, waving its little fists at Xiang Qingyu across the air, seemingly somewhat dissatisfied with him comparing it with Ditto.

Regarding this, Xiang Qingyu just smiled faintly.

He didn't expect Mew to be a Pokémon with such a sense of camera; not only did it immediately nod and agree after knowing his idea of filming an episode for it, but it also generously displayed its powerful ability.

It's just that...

At first, Xiang Qingyu really didn't think about letting it show the ability to transform into a divine beast, but he couldn't stop Mew from wanting to perform it itself!

Things have come to this, Xiang Qingyu can only silently smooth things over.

"Since our video this episode is the Mythology series, then just a Pokémon with special abilities, normally speaking, should not be qualified to have a single episode."

"Mythology, mythology, at least this Pokémon must also have a corresponding legend, right?"

"Eh, actually, besides the origin of Pokémon, there really is such a legend about Mew with extremely high credibility."

"I have mentioned before the hypothesis that 'Mew is the origin of Pokémon,' and the following content can also verify this point from the side."

After Xiang Qingyu finished speaking, even Mew itself was stunned, subconsciously stopping the little action of losing its temper with Xiang Qingyu.

Legend? What legend does it have? How come even it, the main character, doesn't know?

Even Mew is like this, the other audience members are naturally also confused.

Soon, Xiang Qingyu revealed the answer:

"Near Rota City in the northern part of the Kanto region, there is a towering tree that rises from the ground and reaches into the clouds, called by ancient people the 'Tree of Beginning,' which is said to be the place of origin created together with this world."

"And this World Tree actually also has a very deep connection with Mew."

Once these words were spoken, a part of the Kanto audience soon reacted.

【Speaking of which, there really is such a place near Rota City, it seems the legend of the 'Aura Guardian' also has something to do with the World Tree.】

【I know this question, my family lives on Rota Street, looking north, you can find the direction of the World Tree.】

【It is said that hundreds of years ago, there seemed to be an Aura Guardian who once entered the World Tree to bring peace to human society, so we hold a festival every year to commemorate him.】

"Mew..."

Mew also reacted, and was speechless for a while.

Its expression was very easy to understand.

It thought it was a special legend that even it didn't know, so it was just this!

What World Tree, you could have just said it was my home, who would understand if you say this...

However, at the same time, a trace of nostalgia immediately appeared on its face, as if it was recalling something.

Seeing this, Xiang Qingyu continued to speak.

"We don't know when the World Tree appeared, we only know that it had already appeared there in the earliest written records of Kanto, and its power seems to be connected to the hearts of all things in the world."

"And Mew and the World Tree have a symbiotic relationship; perhaps we can also think that Mew is the backup plan left by Arceus for the World Tree back then; besides living here, it also took on the duty of guarding the World Tree."

"Hundreds of years ago, in the barbaric era when Poké Balls had not yet appeared, humans had already mastered the power to control 'monsters,' which led to a rapid expansion of ambition, and all parts of the world suffered from the ravages of war, and finally formed a large-scale battle that was very likely to have a great impact on the world."

"And just when it was about to be a disaster for all living things, Aaron, the Aura Guardian of Cameron Palace, stepped forward, went deep into the World Tree, and with the help of Mew's power, bloomed again, saving the whole world from the suffering of war, and it has been peaceful until now."

"This is also the origin of the legend of the 'Aura Guardian'."

"Precisely because this legend with a very narrow circulation range verifies from the side that Mew possesses extremely special power, its existence itself is connected to the inner world of humans and Pokémon."

【??? Teacher Feather even knows such an obscure legend? I feel like Rota City has a very low presence in Kanto...】

【To be fair, what Teacher Feather said is really correct, we listen to Queen Ilene tell this story every year, basically it's about the same.】

【Teacher Feather: Didn't expect it, actually before becoming a trainer, I was already a mythology scholar! Otherwise, how do you think I know the cute one?】

【Looking at it this way, Teacher Feather is quite amazing, if he can control Mew's power, can he directly enter the World Tree and change the world like the Aura Guardian hundreds of years ago?】

Xiang Qingyu's words also quickly made Mew trance for a while.

For Mew, hundreds of years are not too long, but that human who broke into the World Tree indeed left a very deep impression on it.

Full of a sense of justice, completely meeting the expectations of the Creation God when creating humans, and even willing to sacrifice himself for world peace, fulfilling his duties on its behalf.

He was simply a perfect man...

It was also because of his appearance that Mew gradually became curious about the strange life of humans, transforming into various Pokémon for hundreds of years, silently peeking at them, trying to understand human thoughts.

However, under normal circumstances, it would not be discovered by humans, so humans still don't know much about it to this day.

Mew shook its head secretly, and subconsciously looked at Xiang Qingyu again, sighing silently.

Although it still doesn't know how Xiang Qingyu discovered its perfect disguise at a glance back then, in a sense, it can actually feel it—

Xiang Qingyu is special.
