Chapter 56: Wei Tianhai's Revenge
Wei Tianhai's roar,
It tore the taut atmosphere in the air, like a sudden thunderclap exploding in everyone's ears.
He burst in from the doorway, his eyes bloodshot, looking as if mad, gripping a jet‑black pistol, its barrel pointed straight at Jiangnan.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Deafening gunshots rang in succession, flames spewed, smoke billowed, and the air was filled with a sharp gunpowder smell.
Bullets whistled out, bearing the breath of death, firing toward Jiangnan.
The Luo Family's bodyguards were the first to bear the impact; after a few cries of agony, they fell into pools of blood, bodies convulsing as life drained away rapidly.
These unlucky fellows were taken by the raging Wei Tianhai as Jiangnan's accomplices.
In an instant,
the opulent room instantly turned into a battlefield of carnage,
the luxurious carpet was stained crimson with blood, and the air was thick with a strong scent of gore.
The sudden turn of events left everyone present stunned; screams and cries erupted, a chaotic mess.
Luo Zhenhai's complexion turned deathly pale in an instant; he seized Luo Tian, turned, and fled.
"Xiao Tian, hurry! This place is too dangerous!"
Luo Zhenhai's voice trembled, fear gripping his heart.
He never imagined that Wei Tianhai would dare to open fire and kill here!
Luo Tian was also terrified to the point of soul‑shattering; he had never seen such a bloody scene, his legs went weak, and he could barely stand.
He was dragged by Luo Zhenhai, stumbling unsteadily toward the exit.
Wei Tianhai looked at the bodyguards lying in the blood, a flash of madness crossing his eyes.
He raised his pistol again, aimed at Jiangnan, and roared hysterically:
"Jiangnan! You ruined my family, took everything from me! Today, I demand Blood Debt Blood Repayment!"
"You even hired bodyguards! Did you think that would let you escape this disaster? I'm telling you, today you will surely die!"
Wei Tianhai's voice was hoarse, filled with hatred and despair.
Jiangnan, however, remained seated calmly on the Fishing Platform, as if everything around him were irrelevant.
He lifted his teacup, took a gentle sip, his gaze calm as water, a cold curve forming at the corner of his mouth.
"Wei Tianhai,"
Jiangnan's voice was crisp and cold, like ice,
"Your Jin Fo, is it still alright?"
The simple sentence, however, struck his mind like a thunderclap.
His complexion turned deathly pale in an instant, his eyes bulged round, the eyeballs streaked with blood vessels, as if they would burst from their sockets.
"I knew it, I knew you were the one behind this!"
Wei Tianhai's voice trembled, filled with intense anger and resentment!
"Tell me! What exactly did you do to my Jin Fo??"
"You were deceived yourself, what does it have to do with me?"
Jiangnan glanced at him, his tone laced with contempt.
But that contemptuous tone made Wei Tianhai erupt completely!
He raised the pistol again, aimed at Jiangnan, and pulled the trigger.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunfire sounded again, bullets whistled out, firing toward Jiangnan.
Yet Jiangnan remained seated unmoving, as if the bullets aimed at him were invisible.
"Mr. Jiang, be careful!"
Murong Wan gasped, instinctively lunging to tackle Jiangnan and bring him down.
But the scene that followed made her eyes widen, even forgetting to breathe.
The bullets, just as they were about to hit Jiangnan, seemed to be stopped by an invisible force, scattering and falling to the ground.
Wei Tianhai collapsed,
he couldn't understand why anyone in this world could stop bullets??
Did he not even have the right to go down together with them?
All this made Wei Tianhai feel fear and despair.
Yet Jiangnan continuously remained calm, as if everything were under his control.
He sat there composed, sipping fragrant tea, as if detached from the affair.
The guests in the room had long been terrified to the point of soul‑shattering, fleeing in all directions, fearing to be drawn into the conflict.
The luxurious room, in the blink of an eye, became empty, leaving only Jiangnan, Wei Tianhai and others, and the bodyguards lying in the blood.
The air was thick with a strong scent of blood, making one feel nauseous.
"Give up, you can't kill me."
Jiangnan's tone was flat, as if he were speaking of something trivial.
He looked at Wei Tianhai, a hint of sorrow in his eyes.
"You still don't understand who harmed you, how pitiful!"
The words, once spoken, were like a spark, instantly igniting Wei Tianhai's powder keg.
He lifted the gun again, the barrel a black void, aiming at Jiangnan's head.
But at that moment, he suddenly swung the barrel, pointing it at Luo Tian, who was trying to slip out through the side door.
"Bastard, who let you run!!"
"Even you guys are bullying me, right??"
Gunfire cracked, the bullet tore through the air with a breath of death, instantly striking Luo Tian in the back.
Luo Tian let out a howl, his body crashing heavily to the ground, blood instantly staining the luxurious carpet red.
Luo Zhenhai stared helplessly as his son fell into a pool of blood, his legs went limp and he collapsed, letting out a heart‑rending scream:
"Tian'er! My Tian'er!"
He scrambled and crawled to Luo Tian's side, trembling hands covering his son's gushing wound, yet he could not stop the life force spurting out.
Fear and despair flooded him like a tide; he looked up, his blood‑red eyes fixed on Jiangnan, his hoarse voice accusing:
It's you! You killed my son!
Jiangnan sneered, disdainfully saying:
"He brought it on himself; what does it have to do with me?"
Luo Zhenhai was grief‑stricken beyond measure, yet powerless to refute.
He understood that all of this was caused by Wei Tianhai,
but if it weren't for Jiangnan, the father and son wouldn't have been here, and Tian'er wouldn't have…
Clutching his son's corpse, he staggered outward, his silhouette filled with despair and sorrow. Jiangnan, I will make you pay for my son!!
At that moment, a rapid police siren suddenly wailed from afar.
The siren grew louder as it approached, clearly indicating a vehicle at high speed.
Jiangnan stared at Wei Tianhai, his gaze devoid of any pity.
"Wei Tianhai,"
his voice calm and icy,
"Surrender and be captured."
Wei Tianhai lifted his head, a flash of madness flickering in his eyes.
"Surrender?"
He seemed to hear a funny joke, letting out a chilling laugh,
"Even if I die, I'll drag you down with me!"
Wei Tianhai cackled wildly, the bloodshot veins in his eyes about to burst, his trigger finger twitching spasmodically.
He roared, like a trapped beast's final struggle, each word soaked in searing hatred:
"Jiangnan! Go to your death!"
"I don't believe you can stop every bullet!"
Bullets burst forth, a sharp whistling tearing the air, echoing through the luxurious room.
Jiangnan remained standing, like a statue, letting the metallic storm howl past.
At that moment, "Bang!" a gunshot rang from another direction.
Wei Tianhai, firing wildly, suddenly froze; at the same time, a blood‑filled hole appeared in his chest…
