Chapter 19: The Second Law of Dueling

Crack!

During the preparation phase of Kongque Wu, since Kongque Wu could not pay the cost for the Screen Mirror Wall, the Screen Mirror Wall destroyed itself.

"You Tian! This turn, I will defeat you!"

You Tian's eyes sharpened slightly.

"I summon again my 【Amazon's Princess】."

"At this moment, the effect of 【Amazon's Pet Cub】 in the Graveyard activates: this card can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard whenever an Amazon monster is Summoned or Special Summoned!"

Aowu~

【Amazon's Pet Cub】 【Defense Power: 500】

"The effect of the Princess activates: when this card is Summoned, I can add one Amazon Spell or Trap Card from my Deck to my hand." Tiantian reads novels to cure her reading drought, ttks. tw is extremely reliable

"The card I add to my hand is 【Amazon's Cry】!"

"Next, I activate this 【Amazon's Cry】."

"According to its effect, I can send one Amazon monster from my Deck to the Graveyard."

"The monster I send to the Graveyard is 【Amazon's Spirit Mage】."

"When 【Amazon's Spirit Mage】 is in the Graveyard, it can be Special Summoned by returning another Amazon monster on my field to my hand."

"I return 【Amazon's Pet Cub】 to my hand, and Special Summon 【Amazon's Spirit Mage】!"

Kongque Wu looked up at You Tian.

"Finally, I activate the 【Fusion】 I retrieved last turn from my hand."

"At this moment, the effect of 【Amazon's Secret Art】 in the Graveyard activates."

"This turn, if you are performing a Fusion Summon of an Amazon Fusion Monster, you may do so only once, and you may also send one Amazon monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard as Fusion material."

"I send 【Amazon Pet Tigerlion】 from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard as material, and fuse it with 【Amazon's Princess】 on my field!"

"Fusion Condition: Amazon Fusion Monster + Amazon Monster"

"The tribal king strikes the drum of victory, offering the wildest blessing to the jungle!"

"Fusion Summon, 【Amazon Female Emperor】!"

No sooner had the words ended than the jungle queen, wielding a heavy sword, slowly appeared on Kongque Wu's field.

【Attack Power: 3200→3400】

The queen stood with sword in hand, her eyes fierce as she stared at the four "traitors" across from her.

The oppressive aura of royalty made You Tian involuntarily swallow.

Kongque Wu: "The effect of the Female Emperor activates: when this card is successfully Fusion Summoned, I can Special Summon one Amazon monster from my Deck."

"I will Special Summon this monster in Defense Position: come forth, 【Amazon Child Soldiers】."

【Defense Power: 1100】

"Not done yet! I activate the effect of 【Amazon's Cry】, sent to the Graveyard this turn."

"By banishing this card from the Graveyard, I can target one Amazon monster on my field. This turn, except for that monster, my other monsters cannot attack. But that targeted monster can attack each of my opponent's monsters once!"

You Tian: Damn!!

Kongque Wu stared at You Tian's face-down cards, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"The effect of 【Amazon Child Soldiers】 activates: by tributing this card, all Amazon monsters on my field in face-up position cannot be targeted by the effects of Effect Monsters this turn, nor can they be destroyed by Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster effects!"

"Thus, this turn, the Female Emperor is invincible!"

"Battle!"

"I attack your 【Amazon Tigerlion King】 with 【Amazon Female Emperor】!"

【Amazon Female Emperor】 【Attack Power: 3400】

【Amazon Tigerlion King】 【Attack Power: 3100】

The tribal king swung his heavy sword toward the jungle's tyrant; claw met blade, and a grating screech filled the field.

Boom!

【Amazon Tigerlion King】, destroyed!

【You Tian LP: 5700→5400】

Finally, Kongque Wu dealt damage to You Tian.

"The Field Spell 【Amazon Village】 activates: once per turn, when an Amazon monster is destroyed by battle or effect, I can Special Summon one Amazon monster from my Deck with a lower level than that monster!"

"You Tian, little brother! Your Amazon monsters will also trigger this effect!"

You Tian clenched his lips.

"I Special Summon 【Amazon's Archer】 in Defense Position."

【Defense Power: 1000】

You Tian stared at the newly appeared Archer, his eyes narrowing: Holy shit, it looks like a millennium-banned card has appeared!

Kongque Wu: "Continue! The Female Emperor can attack each of your monsters once this turn! Next, 【Amazon's Fighter】!"

【Amazon's Fighter】

You Tian: "The effect of the Fighter: battles involving this card do not inflict damage to me!"

Boom!

【Amazon's Fighter】, destroyed.

Kongque Wu: "Next, 【Amazon's Chain Master】."

【Amazon's Chain Master】 【Attack Power: 1700】

"Ah!"

【You Tian LP: 5400→3700】

「【Amazon Spirit Mage】! 」

【Amazon Spirit Mage】【Attack Power: 1000】

「Ah!!! Ugh! 」

【You Tian LP: 3700→1300】

The massive physical impact made You Tian feel extremely uncomfortable.

「Finally, attack with your Sheep derivative! 」

Baa!! Boom!

At this point, all of You Tian's monsters on the field—annihilated!

You Tian looked up at Kongque Wu: 「Not bad, Sister Wu! You just wiped out my whole field! 」

「But your attack shouldn't be over yet, right? 」

Kongque Wu fell silent.

「Come on, we agreed—no holding back in this Duel! 」

Kongque Wu stared at the boy's clear, handsome face, momentarily lost in thought.

This indomitable spirit… it reminds me a little of Jonouchi.

「Looks like you understand the effect of the 【Amazon Female Emperor】. Good! You Tian—this is the final strike! 」

「If the Fusion material for the 【Amazon Female Emperor】 includes the 【Amazon Queen】, it gains an extra attack. And while the 【Amazon Princess】 was on the field, its name could be treated as the 【Amazon Queen】. 」

「So, I can perform another attack with the 【Amazon Female Emperor】! 」

「Go! 【Amazon Female Emperor】—launch a direct attack on You Tian! 」

The 【Amazon Female Emperor】's royal aura spread outward; she gazed at the boy before her, her eyes holding not a trace of pity.

Slowly, the Queen raised her heavy blade.

Boom! Dust filled the air.

Huh~

Kongque Wu exhaled in relief. In this moment, she felt as if a great weight had been lifted.

The pressure You Tian had placed on her during this Duel had been immense.

It felt as if no matter what she summoned or did, he would always effortlessly take it away.

Now, she had surpassed her own limits.

「Finally… I won…」

「Huh? What? 」

Kongque Wu stared in disbelief at the opponent's field—where You Tian still stood, unharmed.

「How is this possible! 」

【You Tian LP: 1300】

You Tian's lips curled into a faint smile.

「Sister Wu, today I'm going to teach you the second of the Three Laws of Dueling! 」

Kongque Wu: 「What? 」

You Tian lifted his head.

「No damage if there's smoke! 」
