Chapter 30: Kami!!!!!

Unexpectedly, even under these circumstances, You Tian has a strategy to turn defeat into victory!

But, what a pity!

"Hmph! Saying power itself is a weakness? I cannot agree!"

Kaiba's gaze was resolute, fixed on the approaching 【Amazon's Swordsman】.

"The path to a king's victory can only be matched by absolute power!"

"Activate the set card: Quick-Play Spell 【Dimensional Burst】!"

【Effect: You may return 1 Fusion Monster you control in face-up attack position to the Fusion Deck. Both players choose up to 2 monsters banished from the Game and Special Summon them to their own fields.】

You Tian: "Nani!"

"I'm returning 【Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon】 to the Fusion Deck!"

"Next, according to the effect of Dimensional Burst, I Special Summon the banished 【X-Head Cannon】 and 【Y-Dragon Head】!"

【X-Head Cannon】【Attack Power: 1800】

【Y-Dragon Head】【Attack Power: 1500】

You Tian frowned.

He summoned two low-Attack Power monsters using 【Dimensional Burst】!

You Tian: "The effect of 【Dimensional Burst】 is mutual! Similarly, I can return 【Earth Spirit Priest Os】 to the field!"

【Earth Spirit Priest Os】【Defense Power: 1500】

"Hmph!" Kaiba sneered.

"At this very moment, since I Summoned 【Y-Dragon Head】, the Continuous Spell on the field, 【Different Dimension Capsule】, activates."

"I can equip one Machine-Type, Light-Attribute Ally monster from my Deck to 【Y-Dragon Head】."

Zzzzzz!

Kaiba's fingers swept across the Duel Disk's Deck, then drew one card.

"I equip 【Reinforced Support Mechanical Armor】 to 【Y-Dragon Head】!"

You Tian's expression darkened.

Now, the highest Attack Power on Kaiba's field is only 1800. If I attack with 【Amazon's Swordsman】, I'll only deal 300 damage.

Don't attack!

"Attack Reverse!"

"I Set two cards, end my turn."

But it doesn't matter!

You Tian glanced at his Set cards.

The outcome will be decided in the next turn!

Yet, without warning, the president suddenly burst into loud laughter.

"Himmmmm, hahahahaha, hahahahahahaha!"

Huh?

You Tian looked at the president in confusion.

I never expected that, besides Game, there could be an opponent who matches me so well!

How exhilarating!

The president clenched his fists in excitement.

But! There is only one throne for a king—I cannot tolerate anyone standing equal to me!

Whether you or Game, you will ultimately become my defeated opponent!

"You Tian! Though I cannot accept your Duel philosophy, I must admit—you are a formidable opponent!"

You Tian gave a slight nod, accepting the president's praise.

"But this Duel ends here!"

"Now, I stake my honor, my everything—I will crush you!"

"My turn!!!!!!"

Saying this, Kaiba placed his hand on his Deck.

"I feel it!"

"To Summon this card, I tribute these three trash monsters!"

"Nani!" You Tian tensed up.

"Kami! Obelisk's Solemn Footstep—descend!"

"Draw!!"

Dèng~ dèngdèngdèng~ dèngdèng· dèngdèngdèngdèng~

As three light points vanished from Kaiba's field, a crushing pressure surged up from the earth.

"Here it comes!" You Tian lowered his head, tensing his body.

The ground trembled and hummed, drowning out the Airship's noise: the sky split open, cracking into hundreds of lightning bolts.

Crack! Crack!! Boom—!

An exhilarating melody had begun playing, unseen.

The arena shook as if struck by an earthquake; the real-world ground began to tremble.

You Tian fought to keep his balance, eyes locked on the opposite side.

"Is this… the pressure of a god?!"

Finally, the next moment!

The howling wind scattered in all directions, as the majestic blue Obelisk the Tormentor rose like a tidal wave!

【Obelisk the Tormentor】—descend!

【Attack Power: 4000】

"Hnnnnnhhh, hahahahaha, hahahahahahaha!"

……

The black-eyed Kawai looked down at You Tian, and You Tian tried to look up at him.

"Gulps."

You Tian had finally seen his target: one of the ThreePhantomGods—Obelisk the Tormentor.

Only after seeing Obelisk the Tormentor's mountain-like form did he understand why the CEO in the anime had said: This isn't a monster! It's a god!

You Tian took two quick breaths of fresh air, trying to calm his emotions.

Dè~ dèndèndèn~ dèndè· dèndèndèn~

But the pressure from the opposite side's Kawai was overwhelming! Within this Duel, the pressure he felt was nothing like what he'd experienced earlier beside the Sky Dragon.

Dè~ dèndèndèn~ dèndè· dèndèndèn~

No, I must calm down!

In the DM world, God Cards are strong—but not invincible!

I need to calm myself first, or I won't be able to defeat Kaiba!

Dè~ dèndèndèn~ dèndè· dèndèndèn~

Fuck! Who the hell is humming 【Rage of the Gods】? I've been tolerating you long enough!

You Tian glared angrily at his Graveyard.

【Masked Beast Death Guardian】: Huh? Master, the Graveyard's too quiet, so I hummed a song.

Heh.

You Tian's eyelid twitched.

"Shut up!"

"Yes, Master!"

Oddly, after being interrupted by Death Guardian, You Tian felt less tense.

"Hahahahaha! You Tian!"

The CEO across from him pointed at You Tian.

"You've lost this Duel. Let me tell you why!"

Then he pointed at You Tian's two face-down cards.

"Any Trap Card is useless against a god, and Magic Cards only last one turn."

"Most importantly!"

Finally, Kaiba pointed at You Tian's Attack Position 【Divine Magic Master】.

"Your weak monster is in Attack Position, and Obelisk the Tormentor's Attack Power is—4000!"

You Tian's gaze turned icy.

"Final strike, You Tian!"

"I will attack your 【Divine Magic Master】 with 【Obelisk the Tormentor】!"

"Go! Obelisk! GOD·HAND·IMPACT!"

At Kaiba's command, the mountain-sized Kawai behind him raised his right fist, directly aimed at You Tian.

The next instant, that fist, carrying destruction, hurtled toward You Tian like a meteor.

In this moment, time stretched as if endlessly long.

This is it! The final chance!

"Sorry, CEO! I'm underage—I can't join your IMPACT!"

"I activate my Trap Card: 【Dimensional Wall】!"

Kaiba: "Muda! Traps are useless against gods!"

You Tian's lips curled into a bright smile.

"The effect of 【Dimensional Wall】 activates: when my Life Points are below 3000, I can pay 1000 to activate it, then this card's effect becomes identical to one Normal Trap in my Graveyard!"

【You Tian LP: 1950→950】

"And I choose…"

You Tian retrieved a Trap Card from his Graveyard.

"【Dimensional Wall】!"

"This card's effect isn't activated against the god—it's activated against the player—so 【Dimensional Wall】 activates successfully."

"Now, Obelisk's attack cannot stop—and this time, you'll take the battle damage instead of me!"

"Nani!!" Kaiba gasped in shock.

【Obelisk the Tormentor】【Attack Power: 4000】

【Divine Magic Master】【Attack Power: 300】

【Kaiba LP: 1550】

Won!

You Tian clenched his fist, eyes locked on the descending giant fist of Kawai.

Kawai: "Nisama!!!"

"It's not over!" Kaiba glared madly at You Tian.

"Activate Gai Fu Ka! 【Ring of Destruction】! Destroy your 【Amazon's Swordsman】!"

Just as the black fist beneath his foot was about to descend, a strange bomb collar suddenly flew out from the 【Ring of Destruction】 and locked around the neck of the 【Amazon's Swordsman】.

"What!" You Tian stared in shock at the 【Ring of Destruction】.

Kawai: "Heheheh, thanks to you activating 【Trap from the Dark】!"

"【Ring of Destruction】 inflicts damage to both players equal to the Attack Power of the destroyed monster, and 【Amazon's Swordsman】 has 1500 Attack Power."

Kawai waved his hand and pointed again at You Tian.

"You only have 950 Life Points left after activating 【Trap from the Dark】, while I still have 1550!"

"So the outcome is now decided!"

Kawai: "Perfect! Nisama wins!"

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The countdown of the bomb collar on the 【Ring of Destruction】 rang incessantly—next moment!

Boom!
