Malik paid no attention to You Tian's words.

"You want me to be buried in darkness?"

"Hmph! The one who should be buried in darkness is you!"

You Tian ignored Malik's mockery.

"I Set three cards face-down, end my turn!"

Below the stage, Jonouchi grew anxious: "Damn it, this turn, Malik's field has Swords of Revealing Light—You Tian's Lava Golem can't attack at all."

"Next turn, You Tian will take another 1000 damage and lose outright!"

"Exactly right~" Malik picked up the thread.

"So even if I do nothing next turn, you'll still lose due to Lava Golem's effect! Ahahaha!"

"Oh? Then try it." You Tian replied indifferently.

Malik frowned.

This guy is so unconcerned—does he have a card that negates Lava Golem's effect?

My Swords of Revealing Light will vanish this turn. If he uses Lava Golem to attack next turn, it'll be trouble.

His gaze dropped lower, settling on the card in his hand: Ra's Slifer the Sky Dragon.

"My turn, Draw Phase."

You Tian pointed: "Malik, at this moment, your Swords of Revealing Light will vanish!"

Hum~

Malik: Hmph, just to be safe, I'll raise my guard a little!

"I Set three cards, end my turn!"

Now, everyone's attention turned entirely to You Tian.

Malik: "You Tian! Your Life Points are 600, and at your Standby Phase, Lava Golem will deal you 1000 damage."

"Swoosh! Draw your card, then fall into endless darkness! Ahahaha!"

Jonouchi: "You Tian!"

Game: "You Tian-kun!"

Kaiba: You Tian.

Amidst all eyes upon him, You Tian merely exhaled softly.

He slowly placed his hand atop his deck.

"My turn…"

"Draw!"

"At this moment, Lava Golem's effect activates! Die, You Tian! Ahahaha!"

Malik's manic laughter, like a harbinging crow, shrieked sharply.

A drop of lava dripped again from Lava Golem's mouth.

Swoosh~ The lava plummeted straight toward You Tian!

Everyone: "You Tian!!"

At this critical moment, You Tian calmly played the card he just drew.

"Quick-Play Spell! Mysterious Chinese Wok!"

Suddenly, a massive wok appeared on You Tian's field, scooping up Lava Golem and stir-frying it.

"What!" Malik was stunned.

You Tian: "By its effect, I recover Life Points equal to Lava Golem's Attack Power!"

【You Tian LP: 600→3600】

"Hmph. Malik." You Tian pointed a finger.

"Our Duel has only just begun!"

【You Tian LP: 3600】【Malik LP: 3600】

Everyone: "Well done, You Tian! Now both players' Life Points are equal again!"

Game was stunned: You Tian—was that the Mysterious Chinese Wok he just drew?! This guy stayed calm even when facing certain death!

Yet, at this moment, You Tian's inner thoughts were:

Yeah! Pulled it off!

His eyes unconsciously dropped downward.

Originally, I had a Moon Book face-down on my field—who knew I'd draw the Mysterious Chinese Wok! This is a perfect bluff! Ohhahaha!

You Tian forcibly suppressed the upward curl of his lips.

"Well, Malik, bought your ticket to darkness yet?"

"Hmph!" Malik sneered.

"You've just escaped death—my field now has three monsters, ready to Summon Ra and erase you!"

You Tian nodded.

"Oh? Is that so?"

Then You Tian pursed his lips, lost in thought.

Everyone watched as You Tian made a gesture of praising the sun.

"Everyone, all eyes on me! Look at me! I have an announcement!"

Everyone:???

Then, You Tian pulled out a card from his hand.

"Actually, I'm a hidden grand sorcerer among the common folk!"

"Next, I'll use this one card to make all three of your monsters vanish!"

"If I succeed, I won't ask for much—just ten seconds of applause from everyone!"

Everyone:??

Malik:??

No good! Could it be 【Raigeki】?

Malik's alarm bells rang loudly, and then he saw You Tian…

"I summon 【Des Fungus】 in Attack Position."

【Attack Power: 1200】

Malik: …

"Hmph! So it's just a weakling!"

The crowd below was confused: Why did You Tian summon this?

"Weakling? Tsk tsk tsk~" You Tian wagged a finger.

"This card can sacrifice itself to destroy all your monsters with 3 stars or less."

Malik was even less impressed.

"On my field, only 【Des Fungus Token】 is Level 2; the other two monsters are both Level 4."

"Even if you activate its effect, you can only destroy one weakling with 700 Attack Power."

You Tian grinned wickedly. "Activate the effect of 【Des Fungus】!"

As You Tian commanded, 【Des Fungus】 burned away completely, and a crimson energy drifted onto Malik's field.

"Come now, Malik's monsters—serve me!"

Malik nearly laughed in rage.

This guy must be insane! He's trading a 1200 Attack Power weakling for my 700 Attack Power weakling.

"I don't know what you're planning, but I still have two monsters left—next turn I can… Huh? Where are my monsters?! Where are my 【Des Fungus】 and 【Giga Drill Bug】?"

Everyone:!!!

That's right—on Malik's field, 【Des Fungus】 and 【Giga Drill Bug】 had vanished!

Malik: Could You Tian really be a grand sorcerer????

"Hehehehe! Kimoji~"

Suddenly, a phrase Malik knew all too well came from across the field.

Malik:???

There, You Tian mimicked Malik's earlier pose—licking his lips, muttering that line in a creepy tone.

Everyone turned their heads.

"Your monsters have all become my shape now! Hehehehe!"

Everyone: …

What awful line is that?

Still, everyone now spotted the vanished 【Des Fungus】 and 【Giga Drill Bug】. Those two monsters sat calmly on You Tian's field.

Malik:???

Wait, what's going on here? Are you just openly cheating now?

Jonouchi, his expression strange, walked over to Kaiba.

"Hmm, well, Kaiba, I appreciate you helping You Tian. But don't ever help a contestant modify the system or cheat again!"

Kaiba crossed his arms and gave Jonouchi a cold, unturned glance.

"Hmph! Fool, look closely at You Tian's field!"

At Kaiba's reminder, everyone noticed that on You Tian's field, a Trap Card had been revealed.

Continuous Trap: 【Dark Song】

【Effect: While this card remains on the field, all opponent monsters' Levels decrease by 1.】

Everyone: …

Who the hell brings this kind of card?

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Someone suddenly started clapping.

Everyone turned—and saw it was Shizuka.

Shizuka: "Huh? Didn't You Tian say if he made the monsters disappear, we should give him ten seconds of applause?"

Everyone: …

Well, Shizuka had never played a Duel, so it was normal she didn't realize how bizarre You Tian's move was.

Game nodded.

"Now Malik has to gather three Tributes all over again to summon his god!"

Malik's expression on stage darkened.

"Damn it!! It's another Niu Tounren trick!"

You Tian ignored Malik's murderous glare.

"Hey~ Malik, my turn isn't over yet."

You Tian waved his hand.

"Now your field is completely empty; this turn, I'll use your three traitors to launch a direct attack on you!"

【Des Fungus】【Attack Power: 1700】

【Giga Drill Bug】【Attack Power: 1600】

【Des Fungus Token】【Attack Power: 700】

Jonouchi: "Great! The total Attack Power of You Tian's monsters adds up to 4000—plenty to knock out Malik in one turn!"

"Battle! Go! Traitors! Launch a direct attack on Malik!"
