Chapter 1060: Are You Out of Your Mind?

To be honest, hearing her own husband's words, Fu's mother was a hundred times unwilling; letting her own child move out and letting such a whole family move in, if something unfortunate happened, how could the child live in this house in the future?

With an displeased expression, she said, "Such a huge factory, and there isn't a single place to accommodate a whole family? Besides, how will the children see you?"

Fu's father's face remained perfectly calm: "I have thought it over; this is just right."

A flash of mild anger crossed Fu's mother's face: "You also said this is private property. Are you out of your mind?"

Fu's father feared angering his wife into illness: "Listen to me. Originally, saying they should all move out was indeed an impulsive act born of anger, but what I say now is thoroughly considered. A half-year term is just right; once Engineer Jiao leaves, they can move back. At the latest, before the end of the year, Engineer Jiao's family will leave.

In half a year, they will surely understand how hard life is and won't make a huge fuss over trivial matters anymore. Most importantly, the old factory director should retire next year; now, any of the three deputy factory directors could be promoted to that position. If Engineer Jiao moves into our home and helps the factory director resolve this headache, he will have to repay us a little, won't he?"

Fu's mother was not pleased by his words: "But have you thought about how much trouble a whole family of the old, weak, sick, and disabled moving in will bring?"

Fu's father stood up and patted her shoulder: "No matter how much trouble there is, it is better than failing to meet the conditions Engineer Jiao proposed, causing him to refuse the external transfer on that basis. After all, our factory cannot wait; experts in this field are hard to find. Since we managed to invite him, we cannot let the new production line be stalled because we cannot meet his conditions."

Fu's mother slapped his hand away: "You are deliberately telling me the old factory director will retire next year and that you three deputy factory directors could all be promoted to that position, just to make me smoothly agree to let them move into our home, right?"

Fu's father couldn't help but touch his earlobe, looking ingratiating: "Nothing can be hidden from your eyes."

Putting aside his expression, he then said, "The old factory director has treated me well, and we have been busy with this new production line for over half a year, running around for various approvals from above. We have worn down Engineer Jiao for nearly three months before he finally agreed, but he set the condition that if he is to be temporarily transferred, his whole family must come. He can work overtime, but he must return home on time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to take care of his father-in-law's toileting; this is his bottom line.

These past few days, the old factory director has worried a lot about arranging accommodation for Engineer Jiao, but has yet to find a suitable place.

Heaven and earth are my witnesses; I truly did not think of letting people move into our home before; it was only after the impulse that I suddenly thought of it."

Having lived together for so many years, Fu's mother did not think he was lying: "You also said before that any of you three deputy factory directors could succeed the old factory director. If you do this, aren't you afraid others will say you are seeking fame falsely, and instead lose your reputation?"

Hearing Fu's mother's words, Fu's father laughed directly: "Justice resides in people's hearts; everyone has a scale in their heart."

Seeing Fu's father had made up his mind, Fu's mother no longer opposed: "Since you have thought it through, let's do as you say. Tomorrow, give Big Brother and Big Sister-in-law a heads-up in advance and ask them to come over as mediators."

Inside the second house: "Yanwei, I didn't mean to."

Fu Yanwei now truly regretted not listening to advice back then and insisting on chasing Hao Yanhong down to the countryside.
