Chapter 1120: Waiting for Someone, Waiting for Whom

Fu Yan Cheng was in a bad mood and naturally had no desire to pay him any mind.

But Shen Kaiyuan rarely saw him like this and would not let him off easily: "By the way, my wife bought pork ribs today, saying she'd make a specialty dish from her hometown. How about it, want to come to my place for a drink?"

As the two walked and talked toward the family compound, they met Instructor Guo at the main gate: "Old Guo, why are you here?"

Instructor Guo quickly waved his hands to refuse: "No need, I have an appointment with someone."

Watching the two walk away, Instructor Guo let out a long sigh of relief: "That was close."

After all, the time he had arranged with the person was almost up; before the matter was settled, he did not want anyone to know, even his good brothers.

A few days ago, his mother-in-law sent him a letter, urging him on behalf of his parents to take a step forward. She also said his parents had been quite worried recently due to his injury, fearing that if he happened to meet with an accident, he would leave behind no son or even half a child.

His mother-in-law said that if there was still no movement on his end, she would personally bring a Miss she had found to the army unit for him to meet.

Thinking of his parents at home and then of his mother-in-law's words, a few days ago someone had indeed introduced a match to him. He heard the other party was a widow whose previous husband had been a driver who met with an accident while driving.

The husband's family had driven her and her daughter out on the grounds that she had only given birth to a money-losing girl. Fortunately, her elder sister-in-law on her maiden side was kind enough and took the mother and daughter back.

However, being driven out by the husband's family was easy to explain but hard to hear about. That woman did not want her own affairs to cause her maiden family to be pointed at and talked about, so she found a matchmaker and wanted to find someone to marry as soon as possible.

Her second sister-in-law learned of this matter, returned to her maiden home and spoke of it, and thus it happened that they came straight to him.

Yesterday they had already met once in the city, but that woman said she wanted to come to the army unit for a walk; if there were no problems, they would settle the matter then.

Because he needed to train and could not easily request leave, the two had arranged to meet at noon.

Shen Kaiyuan, dragged away by Fu Yan Cheng, kept looking back: "Do you know who Old Guo is waiting for?"

Fu Yan Cheng replied in a bad temper: "Why are you acting like a woman?"

The two continued talking as they entered the courtyard.

Fu Yan Cheng nodded to Mo Ruhua: "Sister-in-law, thank you for your hospitality."
