Chapter 1151: How Could Everyone, Unarmed, Possibly Stand Against These Men?

~4 min read 667 words

Extending her spiritual sense outward, she discovered there were six people outside; the two blocking the front held shotguns, while the remaining four gripped wooden clubs.

One glance at their expressions revealed this was not their first time doing this.

She knew nothing about firearms and could not tell what kind of shotguns the two held, but the guns in their hands were different: one was single-barreled, the other double-barreled.

The chambers were indeed loaded with bullets; they were not there merely to intimidate.

There were many people on the bus, but how could everyone, unarmed, possibly stand against these men?

It was only then that Liu Chuxue realized a tree trunk as thick as a bowl lay across the road, which was why the driver had slammed on the brakes to stop the coach.

As soon as she regained her composure, she saw the ticket collector at the door slide the interior bolt into place.

Before she could even sit down, she heard someone outside shout: "Stinky bitch, you think this can stop us?" and kicked the door with his foot.

Yet the iron door was sturdy; the man failed to kick it open, and the force of the impact sent him stumbling backward several steps, nearly losing his balance and falling.

The driver calmed down by then and, while the engine was still running, tried to shift into reverse to back up.

But someone from the rear of the bus stepped forward to stop him: "It's pitch black; even with your driving skills, it's unsafe. Besides, they have guns. If you provoke them and they fire indiscriminately, the consequences will be unimaginable."

The driver looked at the speaker, a young man with thick eyebrows and bright eyes, but he immediately sensed this was no ordinary person; he possessed a compelling authority: "Then what should we do now?"

Before the man could speak, the person blocking the road ahead raised his shotgun and blasted the driver's side rearview mirror into smithereens with a single shot.

At the gunshot, everyone on the bus was terrified; many let out a scream, and chaos instantly erupted again inside the vehicle.

They heard a dark-faced man outside, holding a club, shout: "If you know what's good for you, open the door now, or you'll have it rough in a moment."

As he spoke, he smashed the club against the window opposite the driver, which was right in front of Liu Chuxue.

Shortly after, the man who had kicked the door earlier also swung a club at the ticket collector's window; the passengers inside screamed in terror, accompanied by the wailing of children.

Then someone outside began ramming the door with their body, and the fear inside the bus reached its peak.

Within moments, the door was forced open, and the man with the single-barreled shotgun stepped aboard first: "Everyone shut up!"

Turning, he fired a shot into the night sky, and instantly a deathly silence fell over the bus: "Listen, we only want money. Hand over all your cash, tickets, and valuables quietly. Don't force us to take action ourselves; if we do, whether you survive will be uncertain."

As he spoke, he stepped around the items placed in the aisle and moved toward the rear.

At that moment, the men below holding clubs boarded one after another, leaving only the tall, burly man with the double-barreled shotgun outside, glaring menacingly into the bus and scanning the surroundings.

Seeing his brothers had boarded, the tall man with the shotgun outside the driver's cabin shouted: "Get down."

The driver glanced at the man who had just advised him: "What do we do?"

That man lightly tapped the driver's arm and whispered, audible only to the two of them: "Stay calm. Cooperate and get out of the car. Do not resist in any way. Try to push the door wide open."

The driver swallowed hard, struggling to process these words.

The people outside clearly grew impatient: "Don't make me say it twice."
