Chapter 1378: Multiples

If private factories were allowed now, Liu Chuxue would not have repeatedly asked Fu Yan Cheng to communicate with the leaders.

Fu Yan Cheng naturally knew Liu Chuxue acted out of kindness: "Alright, I'll go have a proper talk with the leaders later."

The next day, Fu Yan Cheng took Liu Chuxue to the hospital early in the morning. When the test results came out, Fu Yan Cheng was so excited he was almost incoherent: "Multiple fetuses, confirmed, it really is multiple fetuses. Then what about my wife? No, I mean, will my wife be too tired? No, I mean, her belly..."

His words made the doctor laugh: "Company Commander Fu, you want to ask if your wife's belly can withstand carrying multiples, right?"

Fu Yan Cheng nodded: "Yes, my wife is so thin, I'm afraid she..."

The doctor smiled: "Rest assured, your wife has a good constitution. However, with multiples, nutrition must be kept up; this is one person eating to nourish three."

After speaking, the doctor told them some precautions for carrying multiples, and Fu Yan Cheng listened very seriously.

After leaving the doctor, he couldn't wait to call back at the family compound; he ran straight to the vice-president's office, borrowed their phone, and made two calls immediately.

Fu Mu heard what her son said: "Are you telling the truth?"

"We just came out from the doctor."

"That's truly wonderful. You really are a fool blessed with luck; you were already a few steps behind, but unexpectedly you caught up all at once. Take good care of Liu Chuxue. In these few days, I'll try to find some nutritional supplements to send to you; we can't treat my daughter-in-law poorly."

"Rest assured, she is my wife."

The two spoke a few more words, then hung up the phone.

Since hanging up the phone, the smile on Fu Mu's face never faded, and she even exchanged quite a few coupons with everyone.

Someone spoke up: "Director, what happy event have you encountered? Tell us so we can share in the joy."

Fu Mu had been waiting for this moment: "Just now, my fourth son called and said his wife is carrying multiples. I was thinking of exchanging some things to nourish my daughter-in-law's body."

Immediately, everyone said she had great fortune, having married a good daughter-in-law, which made Fu Mu's mood soar with flattery.

The other call was made to Xiao Fu; such a great happy event naturally had to be known by everyone.

Xiao Fu was the same; naturally, he didn't miss sharing the joy with his fellow workers.

Days passed one by one. On this day, she received a call from home: "Liu Chuxue, your third cousin's wife gave birth to a daughter. Your eldest uncle named her Xiao Qianwen. In a few days, your eldest uncle and others will send things to the Northeast. I'm telling you to see if you want to send anything along."

Liu Chuxue didn't say directly whether she wanted to send anything: "Dad, I know about this. I'll ask my sister later and discuss it before deciding."

She had a few milk powder coupons on hand, originally saved for the baby in her belly, but since her third cousin's wife gave birth first, she, as the cousin's aunt, naturally had to show her goodwill.

The reason she didn't tell her own father directly was that she feared Xiao Mu would feel uncomfortable, thinking the milk powder coupons should have been given to her.

With Fu Yanwan's careful care and the enhancement of Liu Chuxue's space spring water, Fu Yan Cheng rested at home for over half a month and finally had his leave cancelled to return to his unit.

The day after he returned to his unit, Seeing Fu Yanwan reluctantly took the large bag of food Liu Chuxue had prepared for her and returned to the city, planning to stay at home for one night before returning to the farm.

During this time, Liu Chuxue also finished translating the two translation documents in her hand and planned to take some time in the next few days to return to the city to submit the documents.
