Chapter 1379: I Have a Favor to Ask

Fu Yan Cheng was uneasy about Liu Chuxue entering the city alone and insisted on accompanying her during his leave.

Liu Chuxue did not want him to be distracted during training, so she did not press the matter.

Liu Chuxue smiled and stood up: "This room, come in quickly. Didn't you go to school? Why are you back at this hour?"

Mo Ruhua smiled as she entered: "I have a favor to ask, so I hurried back."

Liu Chuxue looked puzzled: "What is it? Why use the word 'ask' like that? It's quite frightening."

Mo Ruhua laughed: "It's like this. A few days ago, I saw the little figures you drew in your notebook, which are the clothing drafts you designed."

Liu Chuxue asked in confusion: "What? Does your school want to use them?"

Mo Ruhua waved her hand: "No, no. It's like this. I saw that Sister-in-law's drawing skills are quite good. Since the school is building a new wall and wants to paint some blackboard murals during the holiday, I wanted to see if Sister-in-law could help advise us."

Liu Chuxue did not refuse; after all, her drawing skills were indeed excellent. In her previous life, when she was in university, she worked part-time as an illustrator, providing illustrations for many children's picture books, and later she also took on many commissions for advertisements, posters, and promotional flyers.

She looked at Mo Ruhua: "What theme do you want to create?"

After all, this era was not like the future; one could not simply draw whatever one wanted without consequence, so it was necessary to ask clearly to avoid doing harm with good intentions.

Mo Ruhua explained the general idea the principal had mentioned today, and Liu Chuxue replied: "Since it is a military primary school, then include soldiers as a subject."

Mo Ruhua heard this and said: "You are right."

As the two discussed, their hands were not idle; naturally, they helped Liu Chuxue wind the yarn.

The title, style, and content were all decided, and the yarn was completely wound into balls.

After the matter was discussed, Mo Ruhua said somewhat embarrassedly: "Sister-in-law, I'm afraid I won't paint some parts well. Could you trouble yourself to draw a small sample on paper for me so I can copy it directly?"

As she spoke, she put her palms together: "Please."

After finishing, she pointed to the yarn just wound: "As an exchange, I can knit sweaters for the babies; I am skilled at this."

Liu Chuxue did not say anything like "no need": "Alright then, those are your words."

As the two were talking, Fu Yan Cheng entered the courtyard: "Wife, I'm back. Look what I brought you."

Liu Chuxue stood up and looked outside; she saw Fu Yan Cheng holding a pheasant in one hand and a basket temporarily woven from miscellaneous grass in the other: "Where did you get them?"

Fu Yan Cheng laughed: "During the morning drill, when we stopped to rest at the destination, this pheasant happened to crash into us. Since it delivered itself personally, naturally I couldn't refuse its face, so I brought it back to nourish your body."

Liu Chuxue looked at the basket: "What is inside that?"

Fu Yan Cheng laughed: "It rained a few days ago, and there happened to be a mushroom nest at our resting place, so I picked some and brought them back. They will be perfect to add when stewing the chicken soup to cut the grease."

Mo Ruhua saw that the two's gazes were too cloying and quickly found an excuse: "Sister-in-law, I have other matters, so I will return first."

When she reached the main gate, she did not forget to add a reminder: "Don't forget my request."

Liu Chuxue smiled and replied: "I won't forget; rest assured."
