Chapter 1537: Discharged from the Hospital

~4 min read 757 words

The ancient head nurse standing not far away had originally wanted to step forward to defuse the situation, but she never expected Deputy Regiment Commander Fu's mother to be so formidable.

Seeing that Fu's mother no longer clung to the matter, that person quickly darted into the ward and dared not shout about changing wards again.

Chuxue saw her mother-in-law return and directly gave a thumbs-up: "Mom, awesome."

Being so directly admired by her daughter-in-law, Fu's mother felt somewhat embarrassed.

Fu Yan Cheng looked at his own mother, then at his own wife, and a smile hung on the corners of his lips: "Alright, packing is almost done. I'll go call for a car, and then we'll go home."

As soon as his words fell, Xiao Guo's head poked in from outside the door: "Deputy Regiment Commander, I drove over, so there's no need to make a call."

Fu Yan Cheng looked at Xiao Guo; though he didn't say any words of praise, that look clearly meant: You kid did well, I'll record this merit for you.

Fu's mother heard the car was downstairs: "Yan Cheng, you take Xiao Guo and put these things in the car first, then come back up to get us."

Xiao Guo was perceptive; he hadn't entered the ward before because it was inconvenient, but now that his sister-in-law was fully dressed, there was nothing more to worry about.

He smiled as he entered the room: "I can carry all these things by myself; Deputy Regiment Commander, you just take care of Sister-in-law and the others."

After speaking, he lifted three suitcases in one hand and two mesh bags in the other, then walked briskly downstairs.

Fu's mother saw all the things were taken away: "Well, Xiao Guo is indeed efficient."

She turned to look at Fu Yan Cheng: "Wrap your wife up tightly; let's go home."

Speaking, she looked at the granddaughter in her arms: "Er Bao, let's go home."

Fu Yan Cheng picked up his younger son, protected Chuxue, while Auntie Wei held Da Fu, and the group walked out.

Xiao Guo moved fast enough that by the time they reached the stairwell, Xiao Guo had already run back.

Seeing Auntie Wei holding the child and still carrying the empty lunch box in her hand, he quickly ran over to take the lunch box.

When they reached the door, Fu Yan Cheng specifically checked his wife again, took a paper packet from his pocket, opened it, took out a slice of ginger, and held it to Chuxue's lips: "Wife, hold it in your mouth."

Chuxue had heard her mother-in-law mention this earlier, so she didn't refuse and obediently held it in her mouth.

By the time they walked out of the hospital, Chuxue mumbled: "It's snowing."

Fu Yan Cheng lightly 'hmmed': "Wife, it's cold; don't speak."

Chuxue saw how afraid he was of her catching a chill and couldn't help but laugh: "It's not that serious."

While she was speaking, Fu Yan Cheng had already brought her to the car: "Wife, listen, get in the car quickly."

Seeing Chuxue seated properly, he handed the child in his arms to her, turned to let Auntie Wei get in, and didn't forget to tell Fu's mother: "Mom, you sit in the front."

After helping close the front and rear doors, he ran to the other side, quickly got in the car, and said: "Xiao Guo, drive."

After speaking, he reached out to take San Wang from Chuxue's arms: "Wife, I'll hold him; don't let yourself get tired."

Chuxue glanced at him sideways: "We'll be home in a moment; I won't get tired."

Speaking, she even nudged him with her elbow to let him be quiet, after all, his mother was sitting in the front; she couldn't let his mother think her son had married a wife and forgotten his mother.

After all, she felt her relationship with her mother-in-law was quite good, and she couldn't let this unperceptive person make her mother-in-law unhappy.

As a result, she heard the mother-in-law in front speak up: "A woman cannot get tired during her confinement; if one isn't careful, it will leave a chronic illness. Don't think holding a child is nothing; even these small matters should be avoided as much as possible during confinement. Taking care of one's body is most important."

After speaking, she turned around to look at Fu Yan Cheng: "What are you still standing there for? Go take the child; you don't even know how to cherish your own wife."
