Chapter 336: Are You Sure? This Is a Matter for a Lifetime

Seeing Fu Yanwan grew more and more excited as she listened, and asked directly: "Which Qiu family?"

These words were overheard by Sun Juanjuan, who was following the educated young woman: "Xiao Wan, I know. That Qiu family is the one we heard gossip about all morning in the fields that day."

Seeing Fu Yanwan was somewhat confused: "Gossip? When did we listen to gossip?"

Sun Juanjuan was an impatient person: "That day when you were looking for someone, I even said you must have taken a fancy to some male comrade. It was the gossip we heard in the fields that day."

Seeing Fu Yanwan remembered now: "Oh, is it her family?"

Sun Juanjuan laughed: "Hu Dazui, who went to the banquet in Guangming Village today, said that the younger sister of the eldest daughter-in-law of the Qiu family's second branch found a boyfriend who is a soldier, and moreover, an officer with four pockets."

Seeing Fu Yanwan grew more and more excited as she listened, and more and more convinced that the person she saw today must be her fourth brother: "Juanjuan, do you know where that soldier is from?"

Sun Juanjuan directly patted Seeing Fu Yanwan's shoulder: "You've asked the right person. The field where I worked today happened to be right next to Hu Dazui, so I heard her chattering. I heard that soldier is from the Capital City and serves in the Capital City's military region. You say, how is someone so lucky? A country person actually found a partner from the city, and an officer at that."

Now Seeing Fu Yanwan was just one step away from confirming it; the figure she saw today must indeed be her fourth brother.

Thinking that tomorrow she would definitely find an opportunity to interact with the Qiu family and draw out some information.

On the other side, Fu Yan Cheng finished his business, drove straight back to the Military Region Compound, and delivered the documents to the Chief's home.

Thinking about the matter of proposing this weekend, he went straight home.

The Fu family was having dinner. Fu's mother saw him return: "You've returned at just the right time; we've just sat down."

She got up to invite her fourth son to sit, then went to the kitchen to serve him rice.

Fu's third daughter-in-law asked with a smile: "Fourth son, why did you come back today?"

Fu Yan Cheng took the bowl of rice his mother handed him: "I went to the Military Region Compound to handle some business and happened to come back to see Mom and Dad."

Fu's mother saw her son's rare expression of smiling eyes: "What good thing have you encountered? You look in a good mood."

Fu's father heard these words and looked at his fourth son too: "Oh, it really is."

Fu Yan Cheng did not answer directly: "Is it that obvious?"

Fu's mother rolled her eyes at him: "What do you think?"

Fu Yan Cheng glanced around: "Let's eat first; after we finish, I have something to say."

Fu's eldest son suddenly remembered the words he had heard earlier from his sister and said with a smile: "It seems Fourth is about to unleash a big move."

Fu's eldest daughter-in-law asked in confusion, quietly: "What does that mean?"

Fu's eldest son served his wife a chopstick-full of food: "You'll know in a moment."

Guo Wenjing glared at her husband: "If you won't say it, forget it. Don't be so mysterious."

Perhaps everyone wanted to know what Fu Yan Cheng was going to say, so everyone sped up their eating.

After the bowls and chopsticks were cleared away, Fu's mother brought over a pot of tea: "What is it? Speak."

Fu Yan Cheng poured himself a cup of tea, took a light sip, and said: "Mom, Dad, I met my partner today. I want you to go propose to her family for me this weekend."

The Fu couple exchanged a glance: "Didn't you say before that the Miss had not yet reached the legal age?"

Fu Yan Cheng coughed lightly: "Anyway, it's only a few months away. I want to settle the engagement first; this will be good for her reputation. Afterwards, when I go over there, it will be legitimate, which is good for everyone."

Fu's father asked seriously and earnestly: "Are you sure? This is a matter for a lifetime?"
