The families of the First and Third Houses watched the three leave; Zhang Yurong thought of something, lifted her foot to follow, but Fu Yanhong, quick as lightning, pulled her back inside.

Zhang Yurong wore a look of displeasure: "What are you doing?"

Fu Yanhong kept pressing her into a seat by the table before finally letting go: "You saw Fourth Brother's attitude. It's impossible between him and your cousin. From now on, meddle less in Fourth Brother's affairs; I don't want Fourth Brother to hold me accountable."

It seemed Zhang Yurong of the Third House was the one in charge, but that was not the case; the true master of the Third House was Fu Yanhong, a fact the Fu family knew very well.

Though Zhang Yurong was unwilling, she also knew Fourth Brother was not someone she could control: "I understand. I'll clear things up with Jiang Xiaoya later."

Fu Yanhong glanced at her: "Your words sound nice, but I fear your cousin doesn't want to let go and will still paint you a big pie."

Zhang Yurong heard the sting in his words and now lost her temper: "Fu Yanhong, what do you mean? When you were the one matching them up, didn't you agree? What does this mean now?"

Fu Yanhong's face turned cold: "At the start, I did have my thoughts, but later Fourth Brother stated clearly that he doesn't like your cousin. Yet what did you do?"

Zhang Yurong felt somewhat guilty but still stood firm: "Then why didn't you stop them firmly back then? What's the point of telling me this now?"

Fu Yanhong checked the watch on his wrist: "I truly didn't expect your cousin to be so shameless, and to risk her own life almost to chase a man."

Zhang Yurong didn't understand: "What do you mean by that?"

Fu Yanhong didn't answer directly: "You'll understand once you see your cousin."

Having grown up in the military compound, he naturally had good friends; he naturally knew about the things that had happened to Jiang Xiaoya before.

However, since it was a matter within the military, he couldn't speak of it now.

Having said that, he walked out: "It's getting late; if we don't go now, we'll be late."
