Chapter 905: Unexpected Good Fortune

Fu Yan Cheng had no objection, but he needed to ask Liu Chuxue before agreeing: "I'll ask my fiancée later and see if she has time."

Zhang Xiaodong immediately pulled the quilt over his face: "Is this really you? Oh my god, give me back my aloof, quiet childhood friend. You're not even married yet, and you're already showing signs of being henpecked."

Fu Yan Cheng didn't care what he said; as he walked out holding his clothes, he said, "You don't even have a partner, so naturally you wouldn't understand."

His voice was cut off behind the door. Fu Yan Cheng looked at the bright orange in his hand, smiled, and hurried to the car.

When Liu Chuxue arrived at the office carrying things, Sister Hong happened to turn around and see her: "Didn't you have three days off? Why are you here?"

She smiled and held up the items in her hand: "I brought some local specialties back for everyone to taste. Also, since the New Year benefits are being distributed today, I thought I'd pick them up at the same time."

Sister Hong thought it made sense; she would have to come eventually anyway.

Upon hearing this, everyone else in the office smiled and greeted Liu Chuxue.

She had only brought cheese for the office; there was nothing else. She grabbed a big handful for each person, just to convey the sentiment: "The weather has been cloudy all along, and snow started falling before we even left, so there wasn't much time to explore. This cheese was at the market where we loaded the goods. Everyone, try it and see how it tastes."

Seeing that the Section Chief wasn't in the office, she first grabbed a handful for Sister Hong, then placed a large pile on the Section Chief's desk before coming out to distribute to the others.

For a moment, the office was very lively.

Cui Haiqing asked, "I heard this morning that you encountered a wolf attack?"

Liu Chuxue lightly 'hmmed': "Now I understand why everyone makes excuses to back out."

After she said this, everyone felt a bit embarrassed.

Wang Minmin, however, became interested: "Liu Chuxue, tell us quickly, how did you escape?"

Liu Chuxue originally didn't want to say, but she couldn't resist everyone staring at her.

She could only briefly tell everyone about this trip to Inner Mongolia.

Wang Minmin's hair stood on end as she listened: "Luckily I wasn't feeling well those days. If I had gone, I probably would have been scared to death."

After speaking, she rubbed her sleeves and said, "You three days off; I have absolutely no objection. You earned it. Such a dangerous situation; if you hadn't worked together, I dare not imagine the consequences."

Just as she finished speaking, Section Chief Li walked in: "Liu Chuxue, I've heard about your situation. You really are a woman who rivals men. I didn't expect you to be so composed at such a critical moment."

Liu Chuxue smiled modestly: "Section Chief, please don't praise me. I'm afraid I'll get carried away."

Section Chief Li stepped closer and patted Liu Chuxue's shoulder: "The Factory Director said he would record this as a merit for you. You are guaranteed to be one of the Advanced Workers for next year's May Day."

Liu Chuxue didn't expect such a good thing: "That is truly thank you."

Section Chief Li smiled: "It is what you deserve. Captain Ma and the others said that without your great help, they probably wouldn't have been able to withdraw safely."

There wasn't much work in the section today. Afterwards, Liu Chuxue went to the Third Finance Section to collect her wages.

Wages were originally scheduled for February 10th after the New Year, but to ensure all factory employees could have a happy New Year, this month's wages were paid in advance. Any differences will be deducted or issued next month.
