Chapter 158

~7 min read 1,240 words

Tang Yun wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, looked up at the mountain-like black-robed giant before him, and couldn't help but curse.

"Damn, did this thing grow up on hormones?"

The giant opened his huge mouth, revealing snow-white teeth, and let out a deafening roar of laughter: "Ant! Feel despair!"

He smashed a fist toward the ground, the earth shaking violently, cracks spreading like a spider web, and Tang Yun lost his footing, nearly falling.

"Damn! Playing for real!" Tang Yun cursed, his toes touching the ground as his figure retreated violently, barely dodging the shock of the ground collapsing.

The giant didn't let up, his fists smashing down like raindrops, each punch carrying the force to split mountains and crack rocks.

The ground was smashed into one deep pit after another, dust flying and blocking out the sky.

Tang Yun dodged left and right, in a sorry state, adding several more wounds to his body, blood dripping.

"No, if this continues, I'll be worn down sooner or later!" Tang Yun's mind raced, looking for a way to break the situation.

The giant's attacks were violent, but his speed was relatively slow, and Tang Yun could barely dodge, but if this continued, his stamina would eventually be exhausted.

Must find his weak point!

While dodging the giant's attacks, Tang Yun carefully observed his movements, trying to find his flaw.

Suddenly, he noticed the giant's back, where the black runes seemed to flicker at a slower frequency than elsewhere.

"Could it be..." Tang Yun's heart stirred, and a bold idea surged in his mind.

He took a deep breath and decided to gamble!

Taking advantage of the moment the giant's punch missed, Tang Yun suddenly accelerated, his figure flashing behind the giant like a ghost.

"Go to hell!" Tang Yun roared, concentrating all his spiritual power into his right fist and smashing it fiercely toward the black runes on the giant's back.

"Bang!"

A muffled sound, and Tang Yun felt his fist smash into a hard iron plate, a counter-shock force coming back and making his arm numb.

"Useless? So hard?" Tang Yun's heart sank.

Just then, the black runes on the giant's back suddenly shone brightly, and a powerful energy fluctuation swept out, sending Tang Yun flying.

"Cough cough..." Tang Yun crashed heavily to the ground, feeling his internal organs displaced, his vision going black.

"Haha! Overestimating yourself!" The giant turned around, looking at Tang Yun lying on the ground, his eyes filled with mockery, "Just by you, you want to hurt me?"

Tang Yun struggled to climb up, only to find his body weak, unable to move even a finger.

"It's over..." Tang Yun felt a sense of despair.

Just then, a sudden change occurred!

The black runes on the giant's back suddenly began to flicker, emitting a piercing humming sound, as if they were about to explode at any moment.

"What's going on?" The giant's expression changed drastically, shouting in terror.

He reached out to touch the runes on his back, only to find his body was out of control.

"No... don't..." The giant was terrified, his voice trembling.

The next moment, the black runes erupted with dazzling light, and a terrifying energy fluctuation swept out, swallowing the giant...

The shockwave of the explosion sent Tang Yun flying again; he fell heavily like a kite with broken strings, his vision going black, and he completely lost consciousness.

After an unknown amount of time, Tang Yun slowly woke up, feeling sore all over, as if he had been crushed by a truck.

He struggled to sit up, discovering he was lying in an unfamiliar cave.

"Where am I?" Tang Yun rubbed his dizzy head, looking around.

The cave was not large, and some glowing stones were embedded in the walls, emitting a soft light that illuminated the entire cave.

"Hiss..." Tang Yun wanted to stand up, but felt a sharp pain in his chest; looking down, he discovered his clothes were already stained red with blood.

"Damn, hurt this badly?" Tang Yun gasped, hurriedly operating the spiritual power in his body to repair his injuries.

As the spiritual power operated, the wounds on his chest healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the pain gradually lessened.

"Phew..." Tang Yun let out a long sigh of relief, feeling much better.

He stood up, moved his body, and found that apart from some soreness, there was nothing serious.

"Strange, where's that giant?" Tang Yun looked suspiciously toward the cave entrance.

He remembered clearly being sent flying by the shockwave of the giant's self-destruction.

Logically, he should have been within the giant's explosion range; how did he appear in this cave?

Could someone have saved me?

Tang Yun walked out of the cave, discovering outside was a dense forest, the air fresh, birds singing and flowers fragrant.

"What place is this?" Tang Yun frowned, having no impression at all.

He tried to release his divine sense to probe the situation around him, only to find his divine sense was suppressed by an invisible force, only able to cover a range of a hundred meters.

"What's going on?" Tang Yun was shocked; this invisible force made him feel a sense of unease.

He walked cautiously in one direction, hoping to find some clues.

After walking for about an hour, Tang Yun arrived at a small stream; the water was crystal clear, with some colorful little fish swimming inside.

"Replenish some water first." Tang Yun walked to the stream, cupped a handful of water, and drank it.

The stream water was sweet and refreshing, making him feel refreshed.

Just then, he suddenly heard footsteps coming from afar.

"Someone!" Tang Yun's heart tightened, hurriedly hiding behind a large tree, observing the surroundings vigilantly.

Before long, a burly man appeared in Tang Yun's line of sight.

The man was dressed in animal skins, holding a huge axe in his hand, with some strange patterns painted on his face, looking wild.

"Wild man?" Tang Yun's heart stirred; this man's attire reminded him of wild men from primitive tribes.

The man didn't seem to have discovered Tang Yun; he walked straight to the stream, bent down, and prepared to drink water.

Just then, a sudden change occurred!

A huge python suddenly darted out from the stream, opening its bloody mouth and biting toward the man.

"Be careful!" Tang Yun couldn't help but shout.

The man heard Tang Yun's shout, looked up suddenly, and saw the giant python coming toward him, his expression changing drastically.

He wanted to dodge, but it was already too late.

At the critical moment, Tang Yun's figure rushed out like lightning, grabbing the man by the shoulder and pulling him to the side.

"Boom!"

The giant python bit into empty air, crashing heavily to the ground and emitting a loud noise.

"Many thanks for saving my life!" The man was still shaken, hurriedly thanking Tang Yun.

Tang Yun waved his hand and said: "No need to be polite."

He looked the man up and down and asked curiously: "Who are you? What place is this?"

The man took a deep breath, still seemingly shaken, and said in a muffled voice: "I am a hunter from the Qingyu Tribe, A Mu. This is deep within Four Symbols Valley."

Tang Yun raised an eyebrow: "Four Symbols Valley? Never heard of it." In the live stream room, the barrage exploded instantly.
