Chapter 130: I Didn't Do It Intentionally
The next day.
Lu Xiwán looked at the clearly dark‑blue patch under her eyes, and Yao Yao, still yawning profusely, was quite surprised.
"Yao Yao, didn't you go to bed early with Xi Xi yesterday? Why are you still so sleepy?"
When she looked again, Lu Xixi, who had just come down from the building, was exactly the same; Lu Xiwán quickly pulled the two Milk Group kids together, questioning them while looking at them.
"You two, tell me the truth. What exactly happened? Did you sneak out at night to play?"
Lu Xixi pouted unwillingly, looking as if they'd rather die than confess.
Lu Xiwán hadn't had a chance to speak when a voice came from the doorway.
Zhong Yun walked in from outside, holding two large bags.
"I came to see Yao Yao. I bought some bread on the way, from the shop you and Xi Xi love most—what's going on now?"
Lu Xiwán gave an irritated glance at the aggrieved Lu Xixi and said, "I don't know what happened last night, we went to bed early but we're still this sleepy today."
Zhong Yun smiled helplessly, patted Lu Xixi's little head, and rescued the two of them from the sea of misery.
"Kids being playful is fine; let's not talk about them for now. Have you taken care of things here? Pack up in the next few days and come back with me."
Zhong Yun was resolute about taking Lu Xiwán away; he had never wavered.
"It might not work in the next few days," Lu Xiwán said, looking at Zhong Yun with difficulty.
"Lord Fu's eightieth birthday is next week; Senior Brother, just wait a bit longer. It's only a few days and won't change anything…"
The more Lu Xiwán spoke, the more uneasy she felt, cautiously watching Zhong Yun's expression.
His impatient expression grew even more evident.
"It's always these reasons. If this keeps going, with these reasons you could stay in the Fu Family forever."
Zhong Yun grew more angry as he thought about it.
The Fu Family wants to use these to bind Lu Xiwán here?
"Just this once…" Lu Xiwán weakly explained herself.
Zhong Yun snorted coldly, stood up directly, and said, "You said the same last time!"
After speaking, he turned to leave; Lu Xiwán couldn't stop him and could only watch him storm off.
When will this short temper ever change? Lu Xiwán watched his back helplessly.
Yao Yao suddenly appeared in front of Zhong Yun, spread his hands and blocked him.
His small face, uncannily resembling Fu Sijue's, was full of seriousness, "Are you trying to take my mommy away?"
The words were not polite at all, and hardly something a child would say.
Zhong Yun also found it somewhat meaningful, squatted and stared at Yao Yao, who was only up to his thigh.
"I intend to take her away, because she never belonged here."
Seeing that the other was a little brat, Zhong Yun left some leeway in his words, and his tone wasn't so harsh.
"You also know she's not your mommy, right?" Zhong Yun said with a half‑smile; he had long seen through Yao Yao's disguise.
No wonder he's Fu Sijue's child; as difficult to deal with as Fu Sijue himself.
Yao Yao also knew there was no point in pretending any longer, and nodded in agreement, "I know mommy isn't my biological mother, but I want her to stay, so she can be with me forever."
Blood relations aren't that important to a child.
He felt, in Lu Xiwán, the motherly warmth he had only ever seen on TV.
"Since you know Xi Wan isn't your biological mother, you should know she can't stay here as your mommy; you're just one of her patients."
