Chapter 129: We'll Always Be Together
Lu Xiwán originally wanted to push back, but after Ji You's repeated invitations and his trust, she didn't feel like saying anything.
In the startled gazes of the two little milk dumplings and Fu Sijue, Lu Xiwán took the computer.
Even her facial expression instantly became serious, as if she had turned into another person.
Even with Ji You's guarantee, Li Zhong still refused to believe it, staring intently at Lu Xiwán.
Lu Xiwán merely pondered for a moment, her slender fingers rapidly tapping the keyboard.
After a short while, Lu Xiwán clapped her hands, gave Ji You a little nod, and said, "Now let's run it."
Li Zhong wore an expression as if to expose Lu Xiwán, walked straight over and turned off the lights.
He didn't believe Lu Xiwán could handle this bug alone.
The holographic projection appeared again, this time the equipment fully displayed the video they had pre‑set.
In less than ten minutes, the problem that had plagued them for months was solved.
Lu Xiwán nodded, "It seems the issue is just as I thought. Although it's still far from your project blueprint, at your current pace the finished product shouldn't be far off."
It was plainly just a commonplace polite remark, yet Ji You's smile appeared dazzlingly bright to Fu Sijue.
It was almost as if it were intentional.
"Even so, teacher, can we really use her code? What if it's just a blind cat stumbling upon a dead mouse?"
Li Zhong's face flushed and his neck thickened under the stares of others; he stuck his neck out to forcefully save face.
Ji You couldn't stand it any longer, held back the impatient Li Zhong, and gave Lu Xiwán an apologetic smile, "Young man, your temperament is still too impatient; when I have time, I'll personally bring him to apologize to you."
Lu Xiwán, however, was uninterested in what they said; Fu Sijue's probing gaze left her at a loss.
She almost forgot that he and the two children were still there…
"I just remembered there are still some matters at home; it's a trivial task, no trouble at all."
After saying that, she fled, directly grabbing the two little milk groups and ran out.
Fu Sijue unusually didn't press further; Lu Xiwán let out a sigh of relief, feeling a heavy stone lift from her heart.
As long as he doesn't doubt, that's enough.
Fu Sijue thoughtfully arranged dinner, and after leaving the Science and Technology Museum, he led them straight to a restaurant.
Lu Xiwán glanced at the massive sign at the restaurant entrance and slightly frowned, "It's just a meal; there's no need to come to such an upscale restaurant."
Compared with these delicacies, Lu Xiwán still prefers simple home‑cooked dishes.
"Consider this meal one of my tokens of gratitude to you."
Fu Sijue felt an inexplicable sourness in his heart.
"Last time at the old mansion, it was my momentary oversight that put grandpa in an awkward position for you, I'm sorry."
Fu Sijue's apology was straightforward, which instead left Lu Xiwán a bit surprised.
He actually still apologizes to people.
Lu Xiwán raised her glass, lightly clinking it with Fu Sijue, and said, "President Fu, just don't let anything like that happen again."
"There won't be a next time."
"President Fu, it's great that you promise, but you must follow through."
Seeing the person who once seemed detached from worldly affairs gradually gaining some vitality, Lu Xiwán felt very satisfied.
If Fu Sijue had done this earlier, Yao Yao's illness would have been cured long ago.
The interaction between the two was naturally caught by the sharp‑eyed Xi Xi.
Yao Yao and Xi Xi exchanged a glance, silently agreed, obediently lowered their heads to eat, leaving space for the two.
