Chapter 180: It's All Destiny
Fu Sijue's jet‑black eyes fell on the happily playing Yao Yao and Xi Xi, while he listened to Wanwan's voice on the other side, already trembling slightly.
His heart ached.
"Xi Xi is with me; you come pick her up."
Xi Xi, hearing the voice, came over and looked carefully at Fu Sijue.
The call on that end was abruptly hung up, and a busy tone rang in Fu Sijue's ears.
"Uncle Fu, was that my mom calling?"
Xi Xi felt both happy and scared.
She feared her mom would blame her, but she was even more afraid that because of this she would never see brother Yao Yao again.
"Your mom will be here soon to pick you up and leave," Fu Sijue said, his voice tight.
He simply could not ignore the tear‑streaked expression on Xi Xi's face, which resembled Wanwan's.
It always reminded him of many years ago, when Wanwan also looked at him with such a fragile expression.
"Uncle Fu, why can't my mom stay here forever?" Xi Xi's little face was full of melancholy.
In contrast, Yao Yao was much more composed.
"Because mom and we aren't from the same family," Yao Yao said calmly, then gave Fu Sijue a deep look.
It's all Dad's fault; they had created so many opportunities before, and Dad never seized them.
After receiving the news, Wanwan rushed to Hengshan Gongguan at top speed.
Before she could even act, Zhong Yun directly opened the room door.
"Fu Sijue, what kind of man are you? When Wanwan moved out of your house, you used such lowly tactics to kidnap the child?"
When Zhong Yun said that, silence fell both inside and out.
Wanwan hurriedly chased after them, and at a glance she saw Xi Xi happily playing on the carpet.
Only then did she let out a sigh of relief.
As long as the child is safe, that's all that matters.
"Uncle Zhong, Mom, I came here on my own," Xi Xi said shyly, lowering her head.
She knew she was causing trouble again, but she truly wanted to see brother Yao Yao.
Xi Xi felt so aggrieved she wanted to cry, yet she bravely extended her hand.
"Today it's all because Xi Xi was too naughty; Mom, punish Xi Xi."
Yao Yao quickly stood in front of Xi Xi, "Little sister Xi Xi always comes to find me."
The two of them actually helped each other, and Wanwan almost burst out laughing.
"How did Xi Xi get here?"
Rather than punishing them, Wanwan was more curious about exactly how Xi Xi had arrived.
Xi Xi stared cautiously at her own toes, her little head nearly drooping down to her feet.
"It was money I saved myself..."
"Even though I didn't know the road, the driver uncle is a good person... Of course I didn't dare say that out loud; Xi Xi only dared to think it in her heart."
"Did you come this way?"
"Xi Xi!"
Fu Sijue and Wanwan both wore expressions of surprise, and Wanwan almost died of exasperation at this living treasure in her own family.
It now looks like a Ulong Incident; if they really encountered a villain... she could hardly imagine the consequences.
The sight of Wanwan's anger scared Xi Xi like a quail, and she immediately curled up behind Zhong Yun.
"Uncle Zhong, save me!"
