Chapter 68: Man Can Conquer Heaven
Under the combined effect of the TSR-91 Agent, Yin Cilan's pupils soon lost focus and his consciousness grew dim; throughout the entire process, he was hypnotized and guided toward death by Ling Wu, and after obtaining the administrator password, Ling Wu snapped his fingers.
Yin Cilan heard the command and raised his head.
Ling Wu had hypnotized him for two hours, then put away his pocket watch: "Remember to go home."
Yin Cilan: "Yes..."
Ling Wu looked at the wall clock, walked to the door and gripped the handle, peered through the crack at the light source outside, and after the light went out, he closed the door to private room 109, hung up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, took off his white gloves and put them in his pocket, then returned to private room 108.
Everything returned to normal.
Ling Wu sat down: "I was delayed a bit; thank you for everything these past few times. I specially picked out a gift for you, I hope you can accept it."
He handed over a very small box, inside of which lay a sapphire tie clip, extremely exquisite and beautiful.
Yu Shixue felt a vague sense that his 'thank you' had two layers of meaning; he was stunned for only a moment before putting the box away: "You are very thoughtful."
Ling Wu glanced at the dishes on the table and asked him: "Do you want to drink? There is some on the shelf behind us, I will go get it for you."
Drink?
Upon hearing those two words, Yu Shixue remembered the time Ling Wu got drunk in the private room, and his heart still itched at the thought, so he hurriedly stopped him: "Forget it, can you even drink that kind of alcohol?"
What if he gets dizzy from drinking again?
He took the menu over, scanned it roughly, pointed to the low-alcohol plum wine on it and asked: "Fruit wine has a low alcohol content, you can at least drink that, right?"
"Okay." Ling Wu was not quite sure: "I can try."
Twenty minutes later, Yu Shixue stared at Ling Wu's flushed cheeks and chuckled twice; the facts proved he had completely overestimated this person's tolerance, as even fruit wine could knock him out in a few cups.
He used his leg under the table to brush against the youth's pant leg: "Ling Wu, Ling Wu, wake up."
"... Hmm?" Ling Wu held that glass of plum wine, stood up unsteadily, raised the glass, and swayed back and forth: "Are... are you going to drink more?"
"Cheers~"
Yu Shixue's heart softened: "Drink what? Come here."
The youth was obedient: "Oh."
Ling Wu's steps were a bit unsteady, and he accidentally tripped, falling to sit at Yu Shixue's feet; the entire glass of wine spilled onto the other person, and he braced his hands on Yu Shixue's thighs, failing to stand up after several attempts.
Yu Shixue felt an inexplicable fire rise up; ignoring the fact that he had spilled wine on him, he scooped the person up by the waist, his jawline taut: "I'm taking you back."
It seems this person cannot be allowed to touch even a drop of alcohol.
Yu Shixue carried the person outside and soon drove away from Zhuli Pavilion; half an hour later, he delivered the person back to the villa. Ling Wu was hanging almost entirely on him, and he held the youth's waist with one hand, asking: "What is your home password?"
Ling Wu shook his head: "For... forgotten."
Yu Shixue stood behind him, trapping him in his embrace, and used his other hand to pinch his face, making Ling Wu look up, his voice low and sexy: "Open your eyes."
"Beep!"
"Iris scan successful!"
Yu Shixue carried the person to the sofa; Ling Wu closed his eyes, burying his head in the sofa, but his back could still feel that scorching gaze.
What exactly is he looking at?
Hurry up and leave.
Two minutes later, Yu Shixue flipped the person over, face up, took off his own coat to cover his stomach, and only then left the villa.
As the footsteps faded away, Ling Wu sat up, threw the coat on his body to the side, opened the computer, entered the password to access Yin Cilan's AI autopilot administrator account, and issued a command for speeding on a curve.
He also deleted his contact information and records from Yin Cilan's phone, along with the cloud backups, until nothing remained.
The computer shut down.
Guishan Cemetery.
Several bodyguards dared not breathe, and Jin Shaoyu was furious: "Where is he?! What are you people paid for, you don't even know where he went!"
The lead bodyguard: "The Eldest Young Master went out with... with Young Master Yu, we didn't dare stop them."
"Trash! A bunch of trash!"
Jin Shaoyu nearly crushed his phone: "He promised me perfectly well, why did he run off with Yu Shixue?!"
Damn it!
"Beep—"
Jin Shaoyu called Ling Wu several more times, but no one answered; the veins on his forehead bulged, he took a deep look at Ling Tingwan's tombstone, flicked his sleeves and left: "Follow me to catch him!"
Ling Wu, you really are disobedient.
After he left, another sedan broke through the night and drove into the cemetery; Ling Wu stepped out holding an umbrella.
In front of Ling Tingwan's tombstone lay the eustomas she liked most while she was alive; Ling Wu knelt before the tombstone, kowtowed heavily three times, and his fingertips caressed the photo on it: "Mom, I've come back to see you."
"For so many years, I have never been able to understand why it had to be us, why it had to be us who suffered all this. They say good is rewarded with good and evil with evil, but the wicked live smooth and easy lives, and the only ones living in pain from beginning to end have been my brother and me."
"How absurd."
The sound of rain began to rise, as if to wash away the filth of the world.
Ling Wu knelt on the ground, his pant legs soaked, his knees feeling a bone-chilling cold; lightning streaked across the sky one after another, like the terrifying might of heaven, but he was completely unafraid and unlocked his phone.
The latest news broadcast was reporting: "On August 9th at 10:13 AM, a traffic accident occurred on the XX mountain road; a vehicle was speeding on a curve, lost control, crashed into the guardrail, and fell off the cliff, resulting in 1 death..."
Ling Wu took out the photo of Yin Cilan that had been marked with a red pen; the light of the lighter burned in his eyes, so clear and bright. The flame burned from a corner of the photo, consuming the body, neck, hair... until half of Yin Cilan's face was destroyed, finally reduced to ashes, which fell before the tombstone and vanished without a trace.
"The gods and buddhas he worshipped could not save his life; it seems that man can conquer heaven."
The rain gradually stopped, and Ling Wu lowered his umbrella: "Don't worry, I will protect my brother well, I won't let him be harmed, and I certainly won't let him know these disgusting truths. I... I have no way to say it out loud..."
Back then, his brother was so small, so cute and pure.
How could he bear to tell him the truth.
The truth that would drive a person insane.
But Ling Wu also forgot that when he endured all this, he was only one year older than Jin Shaoyu; the word 'brother' supported him as he shouldered the collapsing half of the sky.
Ling Wu's eyes turned red, his vision blurred, and his hands trembled uncontrollably; he took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it, tears falling silently across his face, and he mumbled with his lips: "Mom, this life is so hard; I can't go on living, but I don't want to die."
