Chapter 11: Eighteen Imprints of the Five Elements Laws

A long while passed.

Looking at Zhen Chuan Ling Feng, which showed no movement at all.

The five stood in the sky with calm expressions, waiting quietly.

Until one month had passed.

They found that there was still no movement whatsoever on Zhen Chuan Ling Feng.

An ordinary True Disciple spoke to the True Disciple from the Enforcement Hall who led them:

"Senior Disciple Liu, Chen Daoxuan dares to defy the decree. Please take action."

A flash of joy appeared in the leader's eyes, but on the surface, his expression turned to anger.

"Junior Disciple Wu speaks truly. That Chen Daoxuan actually dares not to accept the decree—there must be something wrong."

He looked at the other three Enforcement True Disciples and said:

"Three Junior Disciples, please join me in raising the Elder's Decree and arrest Chen Daoxuan."

As he spoke, he directly activated the Enforcement Seal and unfurled the decree in his hand.

Seeing this, the other three Enforcement True Disciples exchanged a glance. Though they felt something was amiss,

they paid it no heed and immediately joined in.

Together they activated the Enforcement Seal.

In an instant,

four Enforcement Seals manifested the forms of Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise—the Four Symbols. The four seals merged into one and sank into the decree.

In a flash, a divine will that bound heaven and earth spread out from the decree.

It manifested a great hand flowing with black-and-white radiance, where the Dao Rhymes of yin and yang converged, reaching into Zhen Chuan Ling Feng, even attempting to probe into that True Disciple cave abode.

But the moment that black-and-white great hand reached into the spirit peak, a wisp of immortal charm emerged from the unseen.

The Shanhai Immortal Sect's sect-guarding Immortal Artifact sent down a thread of power.

In the blink of an eye, that black-and-white great hand shattered inch by inch, dissolving into nothingness.

And that scroll of decree likewise crumbled directly, turning to flying ash.

Seeing this situation, whether it was the leading Senior Disciple Liu, the other three Enforcement True Disciples, or that ordinary True Disciple, all of their expressions turned unspeakably ugly.

Among them, that ordinary True Disciple, Junior Disciple Wu, turned ashen-faced.

They knew this situation meant that Chen Daoxuan was not merely carrying out a Sect Mission—he was executing a secret mission.

That was why the Elder's Dao Rhyme divine will and decree had been destroyed by that wisp of Immortal Artifact power.

It also meant that Elder Tongxuan's and the Xiuye Wang Clan's intelligence both had grave errors.

This action not only failed to complete the Xiuye Wang Clan's commission, but would also earn the displeasure of Elder Tongxuan who had issued the decree.

Even if a sect's Divine Transformation Elder directly issued a mission decree to a True Disciple carrying out a Sect Mission, that itself was a major stain.

Losing points in the eyes of the sect-guarding Immortal Artifact.

And for an Elder to bear such stains, losing points in the eyes of the sect-guarding Immortal Artifact—

the fate of these executors could well be imagined.

Under the displaced wrath, it was likely not just a dimming of their immortal path, but possibly even danger to their lives.

……

The leading Senior Disciple Liu looked at the ashen-faced ordinary True Disciple beside him with a gaze that could kill and eat a person, and said through gritted teeth:

"Junior Disciple Wu, didn't your Xiuye Wang Clan say that Chen Daoxuan had never left his cave abode and had never taken on a Sect Mission?"

"What is going on!"

As he spoke, Senior Disciple Liu's gaze shifted to the other three Enforcement True Disciples.

In the exchange of glances, the four reached an accord.

Then the four of them acted together.

Each manifested the true forms of Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise.

Forming a Four Symbols Four Spirits formation, intending to directly seize that ordinary True Disciple, Junior Disciple Wu.

Preparing to make him a scapegoat to lessen the burden on themselves.

……

But the moment they encircled him, they found Junior Disciple Wu's resistance was countless times weaker than they had anticipated.

In an instant, they saw Junior Disciple Wu's form dissolve into motes of Spiritual Light and vanish completely.

"Not good—Four Symbols Heaven-Seeking!"

The Four Symbols and Four Spirits resonated in a mysterious way, and an invisible ripple spread out.

In a flash, tens of thousands of miles away, a streak of escape light appeared, emanating Junior Disciple Wu's Aura.

"After him!"

Seeing that escape light appear ten thousand miles away,

the four Enforcement True Disciples' killing intent boiled over. The Four Symbols converged into a single linked Four Symbols escape light as they pursued.

……

Within a region of a hundred thousand miles, on True Disciples' Zhen Chuan Ling Feng peaks, True Disciples one after another sensed this scene.

Then they successively sent various transmissions outward.

On a Zhen Chuan Ling Feng three thousand miles distant from Chen Daoxuan's Zhen Chuan Ling Feng,

a True Disciple who had been secretly watching them for the past month gazed with a smile at the sight of four in pursuit and one fleeing.

"Uncle-Master Guiyuan truly is prescient."

"The Tongxuan branch, in order to win over the Xiuye Wang Clan, would certainly seize the chance to act against Junior Disciple Daoxuan."

"It's just that Guiyuan Martial Uncle— what price did he have to pay to be able to conceal Junior Disciple Daoxuan's situation of leaving the sect for a Sect Mission?"

With a thought, he took out his True Inheritance Shanhai Stele and sent a message to Guiyuan True Lord, the current controller of their Xuanwu Dharma Line.

……

Several months later.

Several message fluctuations appeared within Chen Daoxuan's True Inheritance Shanhai Stele.

Because Chen Daoxuan had not specially set it up, it was only an ordinary transmission, and the Shanhai Stele showed no reaction at all.

Chen Daoxuan, who was deep within the Yuanling Realm, had only a sliver of consciousness paying attention to the Kunlun Mirror, and completely did not notice these messages.

……

The sun rose and the moon set, time flew like a shuttle, and in the blink of an eye, another three years passed.

The entire World Origin of the Yuanling Realm that had been corrupted and eroded by demonic energy was all completely purified.

And Chen Daoxuan's Dao Body underwent another nine sublimation transformations.

Every time such a Dao Body transformation occurred, it would increase the Dao Origin contained within the Dao Body.

Counting the very first sublimation transformation, Chen Daoxuan's Dao Body had undergone a full ten transformations.

This also caused Chen Daoxuan's Dao Body, nurtured by the World Origin, to not only become a Five Elements Dao Body containing the Five Elements Great Dao, but to directly leap over the Huang Grade Dao Body tier and become a Hong Grade Five Elements Dao Body.

……

And aside from the changes in the Dao Body.

His cultivation realm and Great Dao comprehension had all subtly and noticeably improved.

The Eight-Thousand-Zhang Violet Mansion expanded to nearly nine thousand zhang.

He was only one Heavenly Aperture away from Nascent Soul Ninth Layer.

On the Nine-Inch Nascent Soul, a total of eighteen strands of Five Elements Great Dao Law Imprints were branded.

Chen Daoxuan only needed to return to the Great Universe, spend some time, and verify the Five Elements Great Dao of the two domains to condense the Great Dao.

Then he could condense these eighteen strands of Five Elements Great Dao Law Imprints one by one into eighteen Five Elements Great Dao True Talismans.

……

In the Great Universe, breaking through from Nascent Soul Stage to Soul Egress.

Condensing just one Law Imprint allows one to attempt condensing a Primordial Spirit and break through to Soul Egress.

And each additional Law Imprint makes condensing a Primordial Spirit and breaking through to Soul Egress that much easier.

But condensing nine Law Imprints reaches a limit.

In

Continuing to increase Law Imprints cannot add even the slightest help to condensing a Primordial Spirit and breaking through to Soul Egress.

On the Nine-Inch Nascent Soul, eighteen Five Elements Law Imprints are branded.

This also means that Chen Daoxuan, once he condenses the Heavenly Aperture and reaches Nascent Soul Ninth Layer, needs no further accumulation of foundation and can directly attempt breaking through to Soul Egress.
