Chapter 812: Magic Power Has Spirit
"I must go now; the rest of the journey is up to you."
After completing these tasks, Li Yi did not choose to linger here but planned to leave.
Upon hearing this, Du Peng, Huang Qiu, Liu Gao, and others fell silent; they knew such a divine being would not stay for the sake of refugees like them—having left them cultivation methods and built this natural sanctuary was already more than enough.
"Will we ever have the chance to see you again? If possible, we'd like to thank you properly," Du Peng said.
Li Yi replied, "First, you must survive—the crisis isn't truly over. No matter how high the walls, they can't stop those bio-monsters from invading. You must seize every moment to grow stronger. When one day you reclaim this world, perhaps we'll meet again."
He gave them one final warning, then said no more, stepping onto a cloud of auspicious energy and drifting away gracefully.
The crowd looked up at the starry sky, watching Li Yi depart—with reverence and worship, yet also confusion and reluctance.
With such a divine being gone, could these refugees within the shelter truly carve out a bright future in this wasteland bio-world?
Thinking of the countless bio-monsters swarming the city like a tide, Du Peng shuddered—but then he hardened his resolve. At least now there was hope; he no longer had to wait passively for death.
Thinking of this, he turned and shouted loudly, "The divine being named Li Yi has departed. From now on, we must rely on ourselves. As your new leader, I ask only two things: strive relentlessly to cultivate and become a powerful Evolved One, and restore production as much as possible."
"The land within these walls is our hope for rebuilding our homeland."
All eyes turned to Du Peng, shining with renewed light—even some lifeless elders now radiated vigor and youth, eager to fight once more.
The Evolution Method offered them endless possibilities.
No need to fear insufficient strength, aging weakness, or lack of manpower—as long as they held this land, the Evolved Ones could slowly reclaim it.
Just thinking of it filled them with drive.
After leaving here, Li Yi intended to find a place to seclude himself for a time, then wait for the interdimensional gate to reopen before departing this wasteland bio-world.
On the road.
He saw countless bio-monsters crawling across the ground—so numerous they were staggering. These creatures, like locusts, had devoured everything edible on the surface; everywhere was barren, not even a single tree or blade of grass remained.
Due to hunger, many of these bio-monsters turned on their own kind.
Yet their numbers showed no decline, for every batch that died, the mother would give birth to another—until every corner of this world was filled.
Li Yi even saw several shelters already overrun by bio-monsters, surrounded only by shattered vehicles and scattered weapons—no human remains visible at all.
The shelters had become nests for the bio-monsters, with a massive mother hidden inside.
It was a white spider monster, its belly swollen like an ant queen, spending its days eating, sleeping, and reproducing.
He flew over abandoned cities.
Li Yi soon reached the sea.
On the calm, pitch-black surface, countless strange heads emerged—hybrids of human and fish, their emerald eyes fixed upward, motionless, while their grotesque bodies beneath the waves rose and fell with the tides.
These too were bio-monsters, and their numbers were still terrifyingly vast.
Li Yi glanced across the sea—the monsters stretched beyond sight, truly sending chills down the spine.
Fortunately, the sea-based bio-monsters could not come ashore—for now, they posed no threat to land survivors.
Li Yi casually unleashed an attack; the terrifying power of Long Hu surged, instantly engulfing hundreds of miles. The strike obliterated countless hidden bio-monsters beneath the waves and triggered a colossal tsunami.
Though this blow likely killed millions of bio-monsters, once the sea calmed slightly, new ones surged from the deep ocean and reclaimed the surface.
Moreover, the corpses of those slain by Li Yi became nourishment for others, who devoured them voraciously.
Above the sea, the roars, chewing, and battles of the monsters never ceased.
Li Yi also saw the mother of the sea-based bio-monsters.
It was a colossal creature resembling a blue whale, entirely white, with human arms and faint human facial features—utterly bizarre.
Yet this monster, once well-fed, continuously laid countless egg-like orbs, each containing a tiny monster.
"Impossible to eradicate," Li Yi muttered, his lips twitching slightly.
His current strength was that of a regional powerhouse; when Long Hu power erupted, it could cover hundreds of miles and alter weather and terrain—yet even so, against these endless bio-monsters, he felt insignificant.
Not even he himself, let alone a hundred others like him, could likely wipe them all out.
After crossing the ocean, Li Yi saw many islands—but they too were lifeless, crawling with sea-based bio-monsters.
In comparison, the sky was far better.
Though Li Yi spotted some winged humanoid monsters flying in the air, their numbers were far fewer than those on land or sea, since aerial monsters still needed land to rest and reproduce.
And whenever they landed, they were attacked by ground-based bio-monsters.
Over time, the numbers of aerial bio-monsters would dwindle—and perhaps even go extinct.
"If the sky is safe, then I'll rest in the air."
Li Yi thought to himself, then halted over an endless sea. He pointed a finger, and a cloud formed before him, condensed from magic power.
The cloud gradually expanded into a small sea of mist, lingering without dispersing.
This was the Cloud-Creating Technique from the Art of Soaring on Clouds.
The summoned cloud functioned like a magic treasure—floating in the air, capable of bearing structures, enduring for long periods without fading.
Li Yi then took the Tianyi Palace from his Five Elements Bracelet and placed it atop the cloud.
Soon.
A palace floating among the clouds appeared before him.
Li Yi entered the Tianyi Palace.
A surge of vital energy rushed toward him.
Seated at the center of the hall, Li Yi formed a hand seal and activated the Great Heaven-Earth Qi Absorption Method. Instantly, cosmic energy from this world surged toward him. Though the concentration was average, it was sufficient for his personal cultivation.
Five energies dispersed; his Primordial Spirit manifestation reappeared, a crimson lotus blooming.
His next cultivation was simple: continuously nourish his Primordial Spirit manifestation with the five energies within his body, until it transformed from void to substance—then he could leap upward and bloom the Three Flowers atop his head.
"The magic power from sixty major acupoints is no longer enough for me—I must open new acupoints."
Opening new acupoints was urgent.
But opening new acupoints required entering the world of Incense-Deification, drawing upon incense power—otherwise, the process would be painfully slow.
Yet his interdimensional device was destroyed; he could not reach the Incense-Deification world for now. He could only wait until he left this wasteland bio-world.
Li Yi sat motionless, eyes closed, his Primordial Spirit manifestation glowing.
As the five energies nourished it, bathed in crimson lotus light, his Primordial Spirit manifestation slowly shifted from void to substance, its power steadily growing.
But for Li Yi, this growth was too slow. He needed to accelerate time's flow, shortening the process of nurturing his Primordial Spirit manifestation—otherwise, even with the supreme treasure, the Crimson Lotus, it would take at least a century to fully cultivate this powerful manifestation. Seeking shortcuts was inevitable.
After all, who among traditional Earth people willingly toils through cultivation step by step?
Time passed swiftly—a month had gone by.
Within the Tianyi Palace, Li Yi's body was wrapped in vast cosmic energy and vital essence. He felt no passage of time, no hunger; as long as resources lasted, he could sit here for decades, even centuries.
Yet he did not do so. On the morning of the thirtieth day, he opened his eyes.
Li Yi sensed a change in his magic power. He flicked his finger, sending a pulse of magic power to the ground—it did not dissipate, instead shifting between forms: a long serpent, a vicious dog, then an insect.
His magic power seemed to have gained spirit—its own will.
"Magic power with spirit—that's why it's called the Spirit Realm. My Evolution Method has broken through," Li Yi said, a hint of joy on his face.
He immediately flew out of the Tianyi Palace.
Gazing down at the countless bio-monsters floating on the sea, Li Yi waved his hand—a silver lightning bolt struck down, then transformed midair into a silver electric dragon, claws and fangs bared, lunging at the monsters beneath the waves.
The silver dragon roared, slaughtering the sea monsters—its claws, fangs, and body all weapons. In mere moments, the ocean was stained red with blood.
"Indeed. After reaching the Spirit Realm, not only has my magic power gained spirit, but the lightning within my divine blood has too. This lightning doesn't need my command—it acts on my will, hunting enemies until its power is spent."
Seeing this, Li Yi suddenly understood much.
It seemed the Evolution Method was not inferior—in fact, when combined with other cultivation methods, it produced unexpected effects.
He watched for a moment.
The silver electric dragon, having slain all nearby bio-monsters, finally exhausted its power. Its form dissolved, the lightning vanished, returning to nothingness.
The same attack.
After magic power gained spirit, its destruction was greater and longer-lasting, with no waste.
Previously, when Li Yi struck with this silver lightning, though it killed many bio-monsters, most of its power would have been wasted.
"Try again."
Li Yi closed his eyes again, combining his bloodline power with magic power to unleash another strike.
A golden flame dragon roared forth—alive, not rushing to kill, but circling Li Yi like a loyal guardian, patrolling the surroundings.
"Indeed," Li Yi said, pleasantly surprised.
After his magic power gained spirit, he could now control his attacks by will. He had not intended to kill—only to have this power guard him.
And the golden dragon, formed from magic power and golden flame, obeyed his will, circling him, poised and ready.
Yet though this power could persist, over time the golden dragon's body shrank, its energy slowly dissipating into the heavens.
Li Yi estimated it would fully dissolve within half a month.
"My Primordial Spirit power is still too weak to contain the energy's leakage. When my Primordial Spirit manifestation is fully solidified, my attacks may endure far longer—perhaps even autonomously absorb cosmic energy to replenish themselves, lasting indefinitely."
Li Yi thought to himself.
But reaching that stage would likely require the Three Flowers Converging at the Crown.
After testing.
Li Yi changed his mind with a thought.
The golden dragon, which had just been circling him, roared again and plunged into the depths of the sea.
The dragon writhed, the sea burned, countless bio-monsters died once more.
Until its power was exhausted, the golden dragon's attack would not cease.
Li Yi paid no further attention, turning back toward the cloud layer.
Just as he prepared to return to the Tianyi Palace, he suddenly noticed a small aircraft parked at the palace's entrance—it was not of this world, but clearly from World Six.
"Has an evolver from Earth found me?" Li Yi immediately realized.
Without delay, he launched the Immortal Dao warship and used the AI Hong Ji to extract the data from the small aircraft.
Soon.
"Evolver from Earth, upon receiving this message, please proceed to the coordinates." A brief message, followed by a coordinate point in a post-apocalyptic bio-horror world.
"Go take a look."
Li Yi did not hesitate; he packed his belongings, boarded the Immortal Dao warship, and flew toward the coordinates.
He did not want to remain trapped in this world forever—when an opportunity arose, he had to leave quickly.
"By the way, detour to the shelter first."
Li Yi suddenly remembered something and decided to check on Du Peng and the others before leaving—whether they had survived or been wiped out by bio-monsters.
After all, he had sown the seeds himself; it was worth a glance.
"Understood, Master." Hong Ji immediately altered the warship's flight path.
Soon.
Li Yi passed by the shelter.
Now, the area enclosed by tall walls had regrown vegetation, mostly crops—clearly, Du Peng and the others had found seed stocks and planted them in this land nourished by life essence.
The shelter's population had also grown significantly, likely from migrants arriving from elsewhere.
Li Yi also saw many people absorbing cosmic energy, their bodies evolving.
Along the towering walls, two patrols were on duty.
Bio-monsters had climbed onto the walls, and the patrols were working together to kill them; after killing them, they disposed of the corpses cleanly, leaving no scent to attract more monsters.
Everyone was working hard for this new homeland.
Yet this flicker of civilization remained faint, still needing careful nurturing.
But at least it had a good beginning.
After observing for a moment, Li Yi did not linger—he ordered the Immortal Dao warship to continue toward the coordinate point.
