Chapter 101: Calm

Feng Cen followed her gaze and saw a teenager in casual clothes striding toward them.

He was tall and straight-shouldered, with broad shoulders and long legs, walking with a carefree swagger; each step seemed to land on the focus of everyone's gaze.

When the teenager drew nearer, Feng Cen finally made out his face.

He resembled Lu Yuchu by about sixty to seventy percent, sharing the same high nose bridge and deep-set eyes, but Lu Yuchu's Expression combined with his demeanor gave him a colder, more solemn air.

But the teenager's demeanor was more vibrant and flamboyant, like a blazing flame, easily capturing everyone's sight.

"It's Song Yan!" someone whispered, and immediately the surrounding chatter exploded.

Everyone turned toward the teenager in unison.

"Heavens, it really is him! I just watched his movie last week; the fight scenes with Chu Chu were super cool, cool, cool—I kept replaying them!"

"He and Lu Yuchu look even more alike than in the footage!"

"Ahhhh! How did Song Yan also come here?"

"He and Chu Chu are friends, right? They've followed each other on Weibo for two years, and alumni even snapped them leaving school together!"

The implication was that he had come to celebrate Lu Yuchu's birthday.

""

"Brother Yan!" Mu Youyu called out as he approached her.

Song Yan strode a few steps to the table, reached up and ruffled Mu Youyu's hair, a natural and affectionate gesture, his fingertips still carrying a hint of outdoor chill.

"My baby's gotten even prettier! I just finished filming on location and rushed over—didn't I make it late?"

"No!"

Mu Youyu hadn't expected him to come, but she still praised: "Brother Yan, you've gotten even more handsome!"

Jiang Liangjin rose at the right moment and said politely: "Hello, Brother Yan."

Song Yan glanced at him and replied blandly: "Oh, hello."

The implication was that no further words were needed.

Has this person really reconciled with my sister?

He's never had a good impression of Jiang Liangjin since childhood, because this guy just knows how to compete with him for his sister!!!

Feng Cen's mind was blown:!! Song Yan?

Isn't this the Song Yan who starred in a movie with Lu Yuchu?!

Song Yan is 18 this year, yet he's already a legendary freshman at Y Guo Film Academy! He's been active for two years without a flop, and even won a newcomer award for an action film!

The crisp fight scenes on screen are all performed by him himself; his taekwondo red-black belt foundation lets him stand out among actors his age, just like Lu Yuchu.

What drives fans wild is that his first film was a collaboration with Lu Yuchu, in which they play a pair of brothers separated since childhood who are also arch-rivals!

In the film, his portrayal of a roguish secret agent is both handsome and formidable, with movements as smooth as flowing clouds and water.

In the several showdown scenes with Lu Yuchu, whether hand-to-hand combat or gun standoff, both exude full Atmosphere, so handsome you can't look away!

He's garnered countless fans.

Off-screen, the two resemble each other by about sixty to seventy percent, and their looks and combat prowess are a perfect match!

When the film first premiered, many viewers who only saw the main feature thought they were real brothers—or the same person playing both roles.

Later, someone discovered their surnames differed, sparking speculation that they might be long-lost relatives; fans even dug through their early histories, but got no response.

Feng Cen was also one of those fact-checkers back then; he deliberately looked up Song Yan's info and found only that he was a genius freshman at Y Guo Film Academy, with unknown parents and a background as clean as a blank sheet of paper.

No matter how you look at it, he has nothing to do with Lu Yuchu.

... Just as he was pondering, Song Yan had already walked up to the table; when his gaze first fell on Mu Youyu, his originally roguish eyes instantly softened.

Thinking of Mu Youyu's words, "Speaking of brothers, here comes one!"

Combined with Mu Youyu's surprised look and her calling him "Brother Yan,"

plus Jiang Liangjin's attitude toward him,

and his attitude toward Jiang Liangjin.

Feng Cen:!!

Song Yan turns out to be Youbao's brother!

——So he and Lu Yuchu are really brothers?

Feng Cen instinctively gripped Mu Youyu's wrist, "Youbao…… Song Yan, he, he's your brother?"

Jiang Liangjin still looked unfazed, pouring a drink for Song Yan.

"Thanks." Song Yan, out of face for his sister, still took the cup from Jiang Liangjin's hand.

Jiang Liangjin was used to it; after all, as a child his tactics for vying for affection had practically offended every one of Youbao's brothers.

Only a few people were optimistic about him.

Mu Youyu nodded, not minding Feng Cen's grip on her hand, and explained to her: "Brother Yan is the son of my maternal uncle's family, making him a cousin to Brother Yuchu."

However, since the maternal uncle and the third uncle are twins, Lu Yuchu and Song Yan look very alike.

As soon as she said that, Feng Cen was completely speechless.

That makes him Youbao's cousin! Lu Yuchu's cousin!

She looked at the nonchalant Song Yan before her:!!

Song Yan seemed already accustomed to such shocked reactions from others; seeing his sister's friend's expression, he raised an eyebrow, "Youbao's friend? From this look, it seems you know who I am."

Mu Youyu quickly introduced: "Brother Yan, this is my friend, Feng Cen!"

Feng Cen finally snapped out of it, hurriedly facing Song Yan: "Hello, Brother Song! I'm Feng Cen, I absolutely love your performance in……"

Song Yan patiently waited for her to finish, then politely replied: "I know, thanks for your liking."

After saying that, he handed the box he was carrying to his sister: "Baby! Here's your gift."

"Brother, you're so good!"

Mu Youyu smiled as she took it, reminding him: "Have you prepared for Yuchu gege?"

Song Yan grinned at her, "I've prepared, how could I forget him, the birthday star?"

Seeing Song Yan's gentle manner toward Mu Youyu, Feng Cen suddenly felt like he had stumbled onto the set of a wealthy family drama.

She took a deep breath and told herself: Stay calm, it's just meeting a sister with an astronomical background.

Sisters aren't just childhood sweethearts with Young Master Jiang!

And they're also cousins with Lu Yuchu and Song Yan!

What a big deal...

Feng Cen grew more and more excited, excited to the point of wanting to drag Mu Youyu into a dance right there: No, I can't stay calm!

Song Yan and his sister exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes, then remembered there was business besides seeing his sister; he stood up, "Youbao, bye, I'll go greet Grandfather first, then come find you later!"

Mu Youyu's voice soft: "Okay!"

Jiang Liangjin politely said, "See you, Yan ge."

Song Yan didn't even turn his head, "A Jin, see you!"

Feng Cen: Great! Handsome! Ah!

The birthday banquet ended perfectly.

Jiang Liangjin flew back to her country the next day.

Feng Cen, meanwhile, played with Mu Youyu for four days, dragging her around all day.

After four days, when Feng Cen returned to his country, Mu Youyu was still staying with Mu Xi at the Duke's Mansion, occasionally going to the academy to find Mu Xin.

Sometimes she could also run into Mu Xianyan.

Mu Xin had moved from living near the school to often returning to the Duke's Mansion in the evenings.

If she woke up early, she could still see Mu Xin on the way to the academy.

Mu Xi, worried she'd be bored, often took her out to play.

She was quite content, waiting for Mu Xin to finish his work.
