Chapter 1: Starting from picking up trash to reaching the pinnacle of life!

~7 min read 1,273 words

Evening.

New York, Manhattan.

Inside a three-story building bearing the sign [Where-It-All-Goes Express Logistics Company, New York Branch], the light in the top-floor storage room suddenly flickered on.

The storage room was quite ordinary, but the things kept inside were anything but!

The most conspicuous item was a disc-shaped round shield, its exterior painted in red, white, and blue, with a white five-pointed star in the center.

It had a name that anyone could identify at a glance—Captain America’s shield!

Beneath it lay a double-headed blade resembling a propeller, named the Blade of the Tyrant, the weapon of the cosmic tyrant Thanos, which boasted the astonishing combat record of shattering the shield above it!

Besides Captain America’s shield and Thanos’s great blade, there were various other miscellaneous items scattered throughout different parts of the storage room.

"Still didn't find Thor's hammer..." Su Quan opened his backpack with a sigh and placed the spoils of this scavenging trip into the safe.

Over thirty thousand US dollars in cash, several gold necklaces and rings, and various pieces of jewelry of unknown value...

Just like the other items in the room, these were all obtained by Su Quan through scavenging in the Void.

The Void is the end of the timeline and also the 'trash heap' of the timeline.

All time criminals and branched timelines pruned by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) from every parallel universe within the Sacred Timeline are sent to the Void like 'trash' to meet their fate of being devoured by Alioth.

Alioth is a living storm, massive in size, consuming matter and energy, specifically designed to devour everything pruned into it.

Apart from the Lokis of different universes and timelines, almost no one could survive in the Void, let alone leave it.

Currently, Su Quan is the only one who has managed to do so!

In his early twenties, he had fantasized about punching the Ancient One and stepping on Thanos in the Marvel world, taking down every superhero and villain.

Black Widow?

Scarlet Witch?

Mine!

They are all mine!

To hold the power of the world in one's waking hours, and to sleep on the knees of beauties in one's drunken stupor.

Only then would this transmigration be worth it!

As it turned out, he had transmigrated into the Void, a place even more perilous than a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

If not for the system, and if not for the ability he had muddled his way into obtaining during his transmigration...

His best outcome would have been to survive by hiding and dodging, only potentially catching a ride out of the Void when Loki and the female Loki, Sylvie, arrived to settle scores with He Who Remains.

[Omniscient and Omnipotent System]

Watching or participating in battles has a certain chance to drop the target's abilities, equipment, or system points.

Note 1: For each battle watched or participated in, each target can only provide one drop reward.

Note 2: The stronger the target, the higher the chance of dropping high-quality rewards.

Note 3: The detection Detection Range can be increased using system points.

[Character Panel]

[Host]: Su Quan

[Points]: 35

[Abilities]: Dimensional Teleportation (Impossible Man),

[Equipment]:

[Detection Detection Range]: 100 meters

Dimensional Teleportation was the ability he had muddled his way into obtaining during his transmigration, coming from the obscure Marvel god-tier character, Impossible Man.

Impossible Man can transform into any character in Marvel and possess their abilities, and can even act as the writer or narrator of Marvel comics.

Aside from the One Above All, he can even transform into beings on the level of the Living Tribunal and the Beyonder!

If he transforms into a Marvel editor or comic narrator, he can change the settings of all Marvel things, such as modifying Thor's hammer into a toy hammer, completely stripping the Beyonder of his powers, and so on.

Impossible Man starts with combat power at the omniversal level!

Regarding Impossible Man, what Su Quan remembered most was that he had once traveled to the DC world and brought Superman to the Marvel world.

He used the Dimensional Teleportation ability to do it!

Su Quan guessed that when he transmigrated, he must have happened to watch Impossible Man fighting someone else, or perhaps Impossible Man had attacked him? That was why he obtained the Dimensional Teleportation drop reward.

Although he didn't get all of Impossible Man's abilities, this "newbie gift pack" of Dimensional Teleportation instantly changed his starting difficulty from "Hell" to "Easy."

Using this ability, Su Quan turned the Void, the timeline's trash heap, into his own personal treasure trove, going in to scavenge from time to time.

[Where-It-All-Goes Express Logistics Company, New York Branch] was the result of his hard scavenging work.

Although it was currently an empty shell without a single employee, and the so-called headquarters didn't even have a shadow, he had already bought this building.

A single thread cannot make a cord; a single tree cannot make a forest.

Power comes from the lower levels.

If Kingpin weren't the underground emperor, rich and powerful, he would have been arrested by the police long ago.

If Thanos didn't have the Black Order and his army, he couldn't have slaughtered half the life in the universe and achieved the title of tyrant.

If He Who Remains, a variant of Kang the Conqueror, hadn't established the Time Variance Authority, could he have stayed safely at the end of time, controlling the free will of everyone in the multiverse through the Sacred Timeline?

Speaking of the Time Variance Authority, its existence was both a benefit and a drawback for Su Quan.

The benefit was that they would constantly prune time criminals and branched timelines, meaning a steady stream of "trash" would appear in the Void, waiting to be discovered by him.

The drawback was that the "free will" of everyone in the multiverse had been stripped away; everyone's life from birth to death had already been planned out.

For example, Loki.

In the settings of the Sacred Timeline, Loki was supposed to be strangled to death by Thanos during [Avengers: Infinity War].

But in [Avengers: Endgame], the Avengers traveled through time via the Quantum Realm to return to the [Battle of New York] to borrow the Infinity Stones, and Loki accidentally obtained the Space Stone and ran away.

This escape changed his fate of being escorted back to Asgard by Thor, thereby changing a series of subsequent events.

The Time Variance Authority defined Loki as a time criminal, captured him, and pruned the branched timeline created after his escape.

They reset the timeline, letting the Loki of the past timeline continue to develop along the originally established path.

Su Quan did not want the timeline branches related to himself to be pruned, and then have the timeline reset, watching his past self continue to be pruned following his own footsteps.

Repeating in a cycle, eventually creating a whole bunch of himself from different timelines.

So the first small goal he set for himself was to become the Master of the Void and rule—the Time Variance Authority!

Additionally, if anyone finds the descriptions of the Void, the Sacred Timeline, the Time Variance Authority, etc., unfamiliar, you can watch "Loki Season 1."
