Chapter 120: Anime Crossover: Pokémon — Starting with Hunter x Hunter, Chapter 52

Just as the palm strike was about to land, Biscuit's expression shifted slightly; inexplicably, she retracted her palm and her upper body fell straight backward.

At that moment, a wisp of Nen emitting a flickering pink light suddenly flew in from the side; thanks to Biscuit's swift movement, she dodged the blow.

Biscuit formed a bridge with her waist, then planted both hands on the ground, pushed off with her feet to execute a backflip, and landed steadily on her feet.

Looking in the direction the Nen had come from, it was none other than Crying Mask.

【This is getting troublesome.】

Although Biscuit did not know what abilities Crying Mask possessed, she understood the most basic principle.

In battles between Nen users, before the effects of the opponent's Nen ability are known, one must avoid being hit if possible.

No one knows what effects being hit might have.

【Before the effects are known, I must not be hit.】

Biscuit suspected that Luo Ge dared to choose Crying Mask because it possessed some formidable ability.

While her thoughts shifted, Luo Ge had already turned around, his right hand clenched tightly into a fist, and he suddenly threw a straight punch.

A thick, intense orange-red Nen suddenly stained his fist.

Combat-type skill — Enhance Fist.

【Enhance Fist】: By repeatedly striking the opponent, the fist gradually hardens; each successful hit increases the attack power once.

Biscuit did not retreat either; she returned a straight punch in kind. Though her hand was clearly slender and small, it erupted with terrifying force.

In an instant, their fists collided!

Bang!

Clearly visible, a jellyfish-shaped ripple of aura burst outward from the point where their fists met, spreading in all directions.

The powerful gust of air lifted sand and stones from the ground, sweeping a cloud of dust in every direction.

Thud, thud, thud!

Luo Ge stumbled backward four or five steps in succession, while Biscuit only retreated one step.

From this alone, the gap in strength could be seen.

Compared to Biscuit, who had immersed herself in 【Nen】 for over ten, even twenty years, Luo Ge's accumulation still appeared insufficient.

However, this gap could be bridged by other methods; he himself was rapidly narrowing it.

"Hiss~"

Luo Ge shook his hand, his face grim; his fist felt as if it had struck a super-thick iron plate, with an extremely strong rebound force.

Biscuit nodded, offering a form of praise: "Not bad. I thought you would have been pushed back seven or eight steps."

Luo Ge took a deep breath, his eyes hardening; the previous exchange was merely a warm-up, and the main event was about to begin!

In the next instant, Luo Ge's Nen suddenly boiled, and an aura thousands of times stronger erupted and spread out.

【Nen Pressure】!

Biscuit raised an eyebrow, realizing her own aura was clearly affected; she had fallen into a disadvantageous position.

But this shouldn't be the case?

She felt that Luo Ge's 【Ren】 seemed somewhat off; it was not a pure 【Ren】.

It appeared as though some special ability had been added to it, producing such an effect.

Luo Ge spread his arms; without any wind on the field, a strange, light breeze suddenly arose.

Both Luo Ge and Crying Mask immediately felt their bodies lighten, and their speed increased significantly.

Flight-type skill — Tailwind!

Biscuit felt a bad premonition in her heart, yet she could not say what would happen.

After Luo Ge finished casting 【Tailwind】, a wisp of pink Nen suddenly materialized, and its light blazed forth!

Transmutation-type skill — Gravity!

Biscuit felt her body grow heavy, as if a vehicle were resting on her shoulders.

Although she could still move it, her body was clearly no longer as agile.

In the next instant, Crying Mask's surface once again blazed with light, and a similar wisp of light flew toward Biscuit.

This time, however, Biscuit could not dodge.

Biscuit gritted her teeth, trying to dodge.

But with her speed reduced by nearly half, she could not adapt immediately.

She could only hope this wisp of light had no strange effects; otherwise, the spar would be over.

Pow!

After being struck, Biscuit's pupils shrank.

The power within her body was flowing away wildly; both her Nen and her strength were draining away.

In an instant, it had decreased by half!

In contrast, the power possessed by Crying Mask suddenly surged by a large margin.

Transmutation-type skill — Power Equalization!

Considering that Crying Mask's power was not high, this meant Biscuit's power had dropped significantly.

Moments later, the effect of 【Gravity】 vanished, and Biscuit felt her body lighten.

Just as Biscuit thought things could not get worse, Crying Mask once again followed the same method, painting the entire field into a pink space.

Transmutation-type skill — Trick Space!

【Trick Space】: For five minutes, those who are slow can act faster, while those who are fast will fall behind.

Biscuit:...

"Luo Ge! Why do you have so many strange techniques? I'm not fighting anymore, I'm not fighting!"

Bisigi truly could not hold back anymore.

She had seen many Nen abilities, but none could be as outrageous as Luo Ge's.

One moment suppressing her speed to the extreme, the next moment splitting her strength away...

How can one even fight like this?

"Ahem, ahem."

Luo Ge coughed awkwardly twice, as if he had indeed played a bit "dirty."

First 【Tailwind】 and 【Gravity】 suppressed Bisigi's speed, then the Crying Mask's 【Strength Equalization】 and 【Tricks Space】...

Hmm...

It seems such a tactic could defeat anyone?

Though it looked easy, in fact it was quite strenuous.

【Tailwind】 aside, 【Gravity】 consumed a lot of his Nen.

The effect of 【Gravity】 targeted Bisigi, so the more she struggled, the more Nen he needed to spend.

In just those few breaths, his Nen dropped by multiples, completely unsustainable for long.

Accompanying Bisigi's "surrender," the effects on the field vanished at once, and Bisigi's strength returned to her body.

Bisigi breathed a sigh of relief.

If the strength had disappeared permanently, the cost of a single fight would be far too high.

Bisigi glanced sideways at Luo Ge on the other side and said in a bad mood, "Your Nen ability is too exaggerated."

"How do you have every kind of ability?"

"And they are all rule-like effects."

Bisigi wore a bitter expression.

Having such a disciple is indeed something to be proud of, but surpassing her speed too quickly is just...

Shizuku added just in time: "Bisigi, Luo Ge hasn't even used his other Nen beasts and items yet~"

Bisigi:....
