Chapter 244: Lin Ye vs. Scáthach

【Year 21, February: Cú Chulainn is crowned King.】

"Perfect!"

Cú Chulainn looked excitedly at his coronation scene. "Right, there's also Master and Master's Master. Since I've become Emperor, I must appoint them as Imperial Teachers." 【You head to Lin Ye's residence to look for traces of Lin Ye, however, you find no sign of either of them. All you see is a line Lin Ye left for you: "Luck is sometimes truly important."】

"Luck? Very important?"

Cú Chulainn didn't understand, but he still kept these words in his heart.

And at the same time...

【Outside the Land of Shadows, Scáthach and Lin Ye stand opposite each other.

"Scáthach, this battle has been awaited for too long, so this time, let us decide the winner." Lin Ye looked at Scáthach and said confidently.

Hearing Lin Ye's words, Scáthach also took out her two spears.

"You know, I won't show mercy."

"Of course, so... I won't hold back against you either."

The moment Lin Ye's voice fell, both their figures moved simultaneously!

Scáthach held the two Gáe Bolg spears, while Lin Ye held Excalibur in one hand and a Gáe Bolg spear in the other.

Clang! Clang!

In an instant, the two fought together!

Lin Ye's attributes had long surpassed his former self; now, he could actually face Scáthach head-on without falling behind!

"Very good!"

Scáthach looked at this scene excitedly. She hadn't expected Lin Ye to be able to confront her head-on relying on his own strength!

"Only this kind of battle can excite me!"

Scáthach swung the dual spears in her hands frantically, her body charging straight at Lin Ye!

"Noble Phantasm release! Excalibur!"

Boom!!!

Golden light swept toward Scáthach, however, facing this sword strike from Lin Ye, eighteen bright lights appeared on Scáthach's body!

Original Runes! Activate!

The eighteen runes turned into a huge barrier, and the A+-level Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm was blocked directly!! This was the true strength of the God-Slayer Scáthach!

"Pierce! Thrust! Gáe Bolg!!!"

One spear turned directly into a red light, imprisoning Lin Ye's body, while the other spear turned into light and pierced through Lin Ye's body!

Just like their first meeting back then.

And the result, naturally, was no different.

Avalon!

Clang!

Master's attack was easily blocked by Lin Ye. Lin Ye smiled and said to Scáthach in front of him, "Master, how many times has it been? Don't you understand yet that your attacks are useless against me?"

"Is that so? But, what if I said my goal has already been achieved?" Scáthach suddenly laughed. She had never counted on killing Lin Ye directly with the other spear; in fact, her true goal was the imprisonment from the first one!

Now, looking at the imprisoned Lin Ye, Master directly raised the spear in her hand! Immediately after, a huge door opened directly in mid-air!

Gate of Skye!!!

Rank: A+

Type: Anti-Army Noble Phantasm

The Demonic Gate leading to the Land of Shadows. If sucked in, one will die immediately without Scáthach's permission!

Simply put, this is an instant-death skill!】

"An instant-death skill? Pity it's still useless against Avalon."

Lin Ye saw Master use her trump card and finally became serious.

Avalon's true ability is immortality, negation of damage, reflection of attacks... No one can harm an existence within Avalon; Ea cannot do it, and Scáthach cannot do it either!

"However, although I won't die even if I enter the Gate of Skye, this counts as leaving the battlefield, right?"

Perhaps this was Scáthach's true goal!

【The suction of the Gate of Skye swept directly over Lin Ye's body, and his body was swallowed directly into the Gate of Skye!

"Success!"

Scáthach breathed a sigh of relief watching this scene, however, she had only just relaxed when she discovered that a huge chariot had charged out directly from the void!

Existence that Transcends Boundaries EX!!!

Boom!

With Lin Ye's E-rank Riding, this chariot could have traveled through time and space long ago! Now, just breaking free from the Land of Shadows naturally counted for nothing. ===== CHAPTER 246 =====
