Chapter 41: Lu Yu and Professor Chen are about to clash?

The president's office of Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University.

"I want Lu Yu!" These were the first words Professor Chen spoke upon pushing open the doors of the president's office.

Yes!

After hastily leaving the computer lab, Professor Chen immediately went to the president's office and found Lao Li.

Although Professor Chen is straightforward and only has his project and research on his mind, he is absolutely not a fool.

On the contrary, people like him can often point directly to the essence of the problem.

To keep Lu Yu always in the computer lab helping with the research, he naturally had to come find Lao Li!

"What? What are you saying?" Lao Li was a bit confused; Lu Yu was still in the computer lab, so why had Professor Chen come here asking what he wanted Lu Yu to do?

"I said I want Lu Yu! I want Lu Yu to stay in the computer lab! At least until my project is finished, Lu Yu cannot leave the computer lab!"

"You have to give me this guarantee."

Professor Chen stared at Lao Li with unblinking eyes.

In the university, someone of Professor Chen's rank hardly needs to give face to the president; in fact… the president still needs to curry favor with him.

Lao Li still didn't know what was happening, and said: "Lu Yu… is not yet a student of our school. Moreover… whether he stays here or not is entirely up to Lu Yu himself; I have no right to interfere with him…"

Professor Chen had no intention of letting Lao Li off the hook, saying: "No matter what method you use, you must keep Lu Yu! {

"Otherwise, I can take this project to any other university to do!"

Lao Li: ……

He was really angry!

Now anyone can come bully him, the president of Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University?

"Are you threatening me?" Lao Li intensified his tone, his expression turning serious and stern.

"Yes!" Professor Chen showed no intention of backing down.

Has the world been turned upside down?

Lao Li's breathing became rapid, and he said: "Then I… I'll think of a way…"

Professor Chen gave a slight nod.

What could Lao Li do?

If Professor Chen's project succeeds, the impact on Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University will be enormous!

By then, although Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University might still not match those elite super‑schools, in its specialized field it could be considered top‑notch nationwide!

So… Lao Li could only endure it!

……

Lao Li and Professor Chen went together to the computer lab, and then…

They both stood there stunned.

Where was the usual solemnity in the computer lab?

What were the students doing?

"Lu Yu, what do you like to eat? My family is from the south; we can make pastries and such, very delicate and delicious—I can go back right now and make some for you."

"Lu Yu, let's go off campus for lunch together? The school cafeteria has too few choices and the food is mediocre—what would you like to eat? I can take you there."

"Lu Yu, do you like toys? Or if you have anything else you like, just tell me—I have a relative abroad who can bring back whatever you want."

A group of students surrounded Lu Yu, all of them… all of them trying to curry favor with Lu Yu!

Is this still the computer lab that Professor Chen and Lao Li know?

Are these students still the ones who could shoulder the future of Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University?

Don't they only like coding?

Aren't they unable to socialize?

Now…… what are they doing!

Lao Li couldn't help but look toward Professor Chen and ask: "What… what is going on?"

Professor Chen was about to speak when the computer lab suddenly fell silent.

Because Lu Yu was about to speak!

"Alright, let's first decide what to eat for lunch."

"Everyone, let's go out together to eat—this time… I'll treat."

"Don't worry, in the afternoon I'll help you solve all your problems."

"I also guarantee that if I have time in the future, I'll help you even more."

Lu Yu said as such.

"Great! Lu Yu, you're really great!"

"From now on, I, Liu Feng, will be your man, Lu Yu—I'll do whatever you tell me to do."

"Lu Yu, you're too handsome!"

Cheers erupted from the computer lab.

The atmosphere…… was actually quite lively!

Lao Li became even more bewildered.

Professor Chen's eyes, however, became very bright.

"What are you doing?" Professor Chen suddenly spoke.

"Professor Chen!" The students turned to look at him, their expressions still a little fearful.

After all, it's still work time.

"You're not working anymore? Have you finished your tasks?" Professor Chen said again.

This time, no one dared to speak, and they even lowered their heads in shame.

But at this moment, Lu Yu spoke: "Professor Chen, you assign a task to everyone every day, right?"

"As long as each student completes the task on time, that's enough, right?"

Professor Chen looked at Lu Yu, without speaking.

"So, does it really matter whether they do it or not? In the program world, it's not just about the result," Lu Yu continued.

"You're right." Professor Chen nodded.

"Then we'll just submit our tasks to you this afternoon."

"Now... we're going out to eat."

As he spoke, Lu Yu stood up from his seat and then walked out.

The students looked at each other, not knowing what to do for a moment.

Following Lu Yu? That's basically opposing Professor Chen.

Not following Lu Yu? Then will Lu Yu still help them this afternoon?

"Let's go! Let's eat!" Chen Yang also stood up from his seat, the first to follow Lu Yu.

Wang Meng hesitated a moment, then also followed Lu Yu.

They weren't trying to oppose Professor Chen; rather... it's indeed almost mealtime now, so going to eat... isn't that wrong?

Moreover... they believed that as long as they followed Lu Yu, their tasks could be easily completed!

The other students glanced at each other again, then followed Lu Yu.

Next... all the students left, leaving only Lao Li and Professor Chen in the Computer Lab.

Lao Li still had a clueless look, completely unaware of what had happened.

Professor Chen stood there, silent.

Lao Li felt a bit afraid and wanted to speak up to ask.

Suddenly...

"Hahaha..." Professor Chen burst out laughing.

"Good! Great! That's exactly how it should be!"

"In the program world, where is there any absolute authority? No one can be certain their code is absolutely correct, let alone think it's the best."

"Without doubt, without daring to doubt, how can one breakthrough?"

"Lu Yu is indeed the person I've been expecting!"

"Our project can finally move on to the next stage."

"Hahaha..."

Professor Chen continued laughing.

Lao Li still didn't understand.

But... seeing that Professor Chen wasn't angry, Lao Li was still happy.

How afraid he had been just moments ago that Professor Chen and Lu Yu would clash!

Fortunately... it was nothing but his worry.
