Chapter 51: with translation of chapter title

Lu Yu lightly nodded at Wang Meng, then led them away from the technical department.

He didn't say anything more to Wang Xin; it wasn't necessary.

He never came here to show off; although it was necessary for the technical department to recognize the strength of the computer lab students.

But his true intention was merely… to have the technical department staff assist the computer lab students in the coming days.

At this moment, Lu Yu had already returned to his office.

More than twenty students from Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology, plus Lu Yu, indeed made this office a bit cramped.

However, no one present cared about the environment issue.

Their evaluation in the technical department just now was actually not about the size, but only concerned the machines' performance and the resulting level… that's all.

"Everyone, I told you before coming that I am actually an employee of Grand now."

"Now Grand's founder, Uncle Chen, has even given me full authority to develop a new game."

"I know developing games might seem like overkill to you, but I… actually don't think so."

"Because the game I'm developing will be completely different from any game currently on the market."

"A brand-new battle mode, brand-new profession classification, brand-new scenes, naturally… will also bring some brand-new technology."

"I believe we can all learn something from it."

"Of course, the premise of all this is completing the task Professor Chen gave us."

Lu Yu didn't beat around the bush; he spoke directly to these classmates.

The computer lab students fell silent for a moment, then…

"Lu Yu, you're being too distant; what is our relationship? If you need help, we definitely won't refuse."

"Moreover, we are actually learning technology by following you."

"We believe in you and are willing to follow you!"

"I still say that if you need investment, Lu Yu, just speak up."

The computer lab classmates were all enthusiastic, with no resistance at all.

Thus, Lu Yu formed his own team.

For a long time to come, outsiders evaluated Lu Yu's team like this.

Each person in this team, if placed in the industry, would be enough to support a large game company.

But they gathered together in one team.

Some say that geniuses are incompatible with each other.

Because geniuses have their own unique ideas and will not yield to anyone.

Thus, the existence of such a team is surprising.

But… once people learned that the person behind them was named Lu Yu, no one would find it strange anymore!

That's Lu Yu after all!

…

"Little Yu, you…" After the computer lab classmates left, Lu Yu went to Chen Qiao's office.

Yes!

From just now until now, Chen Qiao hasn't come to find Lu Yu, nor said a word to him.

He fully trusts Lu Yu, fully respects Lu Yu.

"... The situation is just this: I need them to help create a new game." Lu Yu didn't hide anything, stating the purpose of bringing the computer lab classmates over.

"This…" Chen Qiao didn't know what to say.

Now his mood is quite complicated.

Happy? Guilty? Or nervous?

Naturally, he's happy because Lu Yu brought a group of top-tier technical students.

He feels guilty because he… actually doubted Lu Yu before!

As for nervousness, it's because he… fears that all this might just be a dream.

"So, next, you need to prepare a computer lab for me; the equipment configuration in the lab needs to be the current top-of-the-line for insomnia."

"Also, I still need some money to rent large servers."

"We… want to make the largest domestic online game!"

Lu Yu spoke, his eyes already shining.

Mr. Qin's appearance disrupted his plans.

He originally wanted to develop in a low-key way, but since the other side pressed forward, then… let's strike back!

Chen Qiao hesitated not at all, firmly nodded, and said: "Good! I will prepare all this in the shortest time!"

Grand officially opened preparations for the new online game development.

Yes!

Now, Chen Qiao doesn't even know what game Lu Yu wants to make, but he… he doesn't even ask.

He… has gone all-in, wanting to play a big hand!

…

"Lu Yu, these materials were originally prepared to be given to you after a month, but…"

"I discovered that your research on the subject is very deep, completely exceeding my expectations."

"So, the current progress is no longer suitable for you."

In the president's office of Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology, Professor Chen stared at Lu Yu with a serious expression.

He handed a document to Lu Yu.

Lu Yu involuntarily became a bit more serious; he roughly looked at some of the content in the documents and discovered…

This is the core of Professor Chen's project!

Is this document important?

One could say that, this document is the result of Professor Chen's efforts over the past few years, and it is the accumulation of his life over the past several decades.

If this document were put up for auction, it would definitely fetch an astronomical price.

But anyone who knows a bit about the field would not be foolish enough to auction this document.

This is a priceless treasure!

Lu Yu is actually a bit surprised now.

He knew that by participating in this project he would eventually come into contact with some core material, but he hadn't expected…

It would happen so quickly, and moreover… Professor Chen would give him all the most important content of the project!

This… isn't this too reckless?

Do researchers usually act so casually?

"Take the document back and study it thoroughly; if you have any questions, come find me anytime."

"If you have any ideas, share them with me as well."

Professor Chen said as such.

Lu Yu solemnly nodded his head; this is a responsibility and also an honor, requiring serious attention.

The atmosphere in the office suddenly became a bit more solemn.

But…

"By the way, next week our Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology will be participating in an international cybersecurity competition…" He said up to this point, but Professor Chen stopped, his face clouding over.

"Forget it, we should still focus all our thoughts on the project." Professor Chen said this, already rose from his seat and then left.

Professor Chen really is… says he'll come and comes, says he'll go and goes.

Lu Yu stared blankly, always feeling that Professor Chen's earlier hesitation seemed to hint at a story.

Lu Yu couldn't help but look toward Lao Li.

Lao Li thought for a moment and said: "The competition next week is actually a large-scale event, but of course… its domestic reputation is not high."

"Because each time… the championship of this competition goes to foreign schools, and even… no domestic school has ever achieved any good results."
