Chapter 63

At 7 PM, Grand headquarters, Chen Qiao's office.

At this time, it's already past quitting time.

Grand's employees have basically left the company.

But at this moment, quite a few people are sitting in the office.

Chen Qiao sits in the chief seat, with the Technology Department's head and deputy head sitting below him, as well as the heads of each department.

One could say that all of Grand's decision-makers are here.

At this moment, Chen Qiao's face is grave, his brows tightly furrowed.

Grand hasn't held such a meeting in a long time.

Every time all the responsible persons gather together, it means Grand is facing a major crisis.

Today... saying it's the same is the same, saying it's different is also different.

「Director Chen, things are like this. Now all the colleagues in the Technology Department have grown dissatisfied. 」

「They even said... if you continue letting Lu Yu occupy so many resources, they... they will leave Grand. 」

Wang Xin said this on behalf of the Technology Department.

Chen Qiao already knows the current situation.

The Technology Department's dissatisfaction with Lu Yu is growing.

Because, Chen Qiao has tilted all resources toward Lu Yu, but...

Over the past two weeks, Lu Yu has produced no results at all.

In recent days, it's become even more outrageous!

Lu Yu simply didn't come to the company.

And yet, the office that Lu Yu occupies... does not allow anyone to use it!

This is a waste of resources!

The Technology Department's colleagues are now using equipment that is one level worse than before, but...

There are empty offices now, yet they actually can't use them!

Isn't this bullying people?

Those who diligently contribute to the company are not as valued as those who occupy resources yet contribute nothing to the company?

How can one's heart be balanced?

「Director Chen, we can't continue like this. 」

「Either let Lu Yu produce results, or... directly have Lu Yu give up the office. 」

「This is the attitude of all of us. 」

In the office, the department heads spoke up one after another.

Coup!

Now Chen Qiao faces great pressure.

These department heads are pressuring Chen Qiao: do you want Lu Yu or us!

This is a difficult decision, and more importantly, an important decision!

Even more, this decision will determine Grand's future.

……

In the office, only Chen Qiao remained.

At this moment, his eyes were vacant, his soul seeming to have been drawn away.

After a while, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Helpless, struggling, painful...

Then...

His eyes snapped open!

His gaze was filled with resolve and sharpness.

Since a decision has been made, we must see it through to the end.

Even if this decision is wrong, we must forge a correct path on this wrong road!

This is Chen Qiao!

Chen Qiao, who could found Grand and lead it to brilliance!

The older generation, no matter what, still has some things worth learning for the young.

……

In the office of the Technology Department's deputy head.

Wang Xin's face was full of a smile he couldn't hide.

The more he recalled what had just happened in the office, the bigger his smile grew.

「I believe in Lu Yu; please also believe in him. 」

「From now on, Lu Yu represents me; whatever he does, I do. 」

This is Chen Qiao's answer!

On the spot, the expressions of all department heads changed.

But since the speaker was Chen Qiao, no one objected.

After all, Chen Qiao's prestige in Grand is truly high.

But... even if Chen Qiao can control Grand single-handedly, what then?

A towering building rises from level ground.

If the foundation is corroded, the skyscraper will naturally collapse.

Grand is doomed!

And Wang Xin's task is also about to be completed!

Wang Xin seemed to see the banknotes in Mr. Qin's hand waving at him.

Yes! The reason that just happened is precisely the result of Wang Xin's efforts.

He kept stirring up trouble among the technical department colleagues, making them dissatisfied with Lu Yu.

Once the colleagues' emotions reached a certain point, he then joined forces with the heads of other departments…

This is a rather meticulous process, not easy.

But Wang Xin managed to do it.

This is where his value lies!

So… all that's left now is to wait!

The conflict between the department heads and Chen Qiao has already been sown.

Grand's collapse now only depends on how long it takes!

……

Lu Yu doesn't know what happened to Grand.

Chen Qiao didn't contact him.

At this time, Lu Yu had already returned home.

Today, Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology held three matches.

Yes!

That is, three matches in one day.

Because time is tight, the schedule is very packed.

However…… Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology still won the matches, all three!

Now they have entered the finals!

Tomorrow afternoon, they will hold the final.

But…… Lu Yu actually doesn't care too much.

He has already learned about his opponent.

The opponent is precisely the American representative led by a man named Smith.

Their strength is indeed strong; they were the champions of the previous tournament.

But after analysis and comparison, Lu Yu believes Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology will surely win, provided nothing unexpected happens.

Now, what Lu Yu is thinking about is developing an online game.

After the competition, Professor Chen's project will definitely speed up.

By then, the computer lab classmates will become busy.

But this actually doesn't have much impact.

They can each day set aside a little time to do game development, treating it as a kind of rest.

After all…… developing games and researching projects are not on the same scale.

The hardest part of developing games is not programming, but game design.

As for game design, with Lu Yu involved, there naturally won't be any problems.

So……

After the competition ends, it truly is possible to start developing an online game!

Lu Yu has also already decided on the online game to develop.

《Legend》!

Yes!

The online game Lu Yu wants to make is 《Legend》!

Even those who have played games, or never played games, as long as they have a little understanding of the gaming world, can know what the two words 《Legend》 represent.

Put it this way, twenty years after 《Legend》 was developed, the hottest game online is still a copy of 《Legend》!

In the era when 《Legend》 was just born, it could only be described with the two words "sweeping".

It can be said to be the representative of China's first generation of online games, carrying the memories of countless gamers.

Lu Yu believes that as long as this game is made successfully, whatever Mr. Qin, Mr. Li, they simply won't be their opponents!

《Legend》 will lead the gaming industry in China!

Grand will become China's top-tier game company!

Yes!

This is 《Legend》, it can create countless legends!

This is also the confidence that gives Lu Yu the courage to demand the best treatment from Chen Qiao.

Perhaps to outsiders, Chen Qiao's kindness to Lu Yu seems unreasonable.

Lu Yu, however, thinks this is deserved.

One 《Legend》 is worth all of this!
