Chapter 64: An Unprecedented Formidable Opponent

In the morning, at Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology, the computer lab.

Professor Chen stood in front of the computer lab, preparing to begin assigning today's task.

He noticed that the students' condition today seemed different from the past few days.

The students all looked up at him, their faces bearing smiles, seeming a bit excited.

He even saw… Lu Yu smiling at him.

This made Professor Chen a bit curious, but… he ultimately didn't ask further, and after finishing assigning the task he left.

Today, or rather these past few days, his mood hasn't been good.

The reason is naturally still the International Network Security Competition.

So, after finishing assigning the task, he returned to his office.

He sat in his office until eleven in the morning.

One morning, he hardly did anything, his heart always a bit anxious.

He knew he couldn't continue like this.

Time, for him, is the most important thing.

He decided to go to the computer lab to take a look.

To see if the students had encountered any problems.

Then…

Professor Chen arrived at the computer lab.

Seeing the scene in the computer lab, he almost burst out cursing.

The students at this moment… were happily preparing to leave the computer lab!

It looked like they had already tidied their desks, not planning to come back this afternoon!

Professor Chen suppressed his anger; he knew that these students of his lately always managed to finish tasks ahead of time.

Now, they should have finished the task.

But… since they have this ability, why can't they use the afternoon to do more?

Go home?

Go out to play?

Isn't that wasting time?

But Professor Chen ultimately still said nothing, and even prevented the classmates from noticing he had come to the classroom, returning to his office.

Lonely? Hurt? Uncomfortable? Disappointed?

He definitely felt all of those.

Especially now, the office has only him, and he alone bears all of this.

……

"Lu Yu, should we go find Professor Chen now?"

"Should we directly tell Professor Chen that we want to participate in the finals?"

"Professor Chen will surely be happy!"

In the computer lab, the classmates gathered around Lu Yu, all speaking up.

Lu Yu smiled and said, "We naturally need to find Professor Chen; we are all his students, and he is our teacher."

"However… before we get to the venue, we won't tell Professor Chen the truth; we'll just say we want to go observe and learn others' network security techniques."

"That would also be a surprise for Professor Chen."

The classmates naturally agreed.

……

Professor Chen never expected the students to actually want to go see the International Network Security Competition.

His inner feeling… was resistance.

At that venue, he has left too many regrets, too much unwillingness.

Even these past few days, because of this matter, he has unusually experienced some emotions.

But… he only hesitated a moment, then told the student who came to find him, "Get them ready; I'm going to find the principal to have him arrange the schedule."

Having said that, Professor Chen hurriedly left the office to go find Lao Li.

For anything that helps the students, Professor Chen never spares effort.

Even if it causes him great suffering.

He is indeed strict, but… his heart toward the students is also genuine!

……

Professor Chen and Lao Li led the students of Mo Du University of Electronic Science and Technology into the competition venue together.

Coincidentally, as they entered the venue, another group of people also got up and started walking.

"Chen! Long time no see!" a sonorous voice rang out.

Then, a man with a full head of blond hair quickly walked toward Professor Chen.

Behind this man followed several youths who looked like students!

Seeing the arrival, Professor Chen's brows furrowed slightly, and he said, "Smith!"

"Chen, you look surprised to see me? Didn't you already know I would make it to the finals?"

"You painstakingly led your team into the finals, isn't it just to have a showdown with me?"

"I have to say, the students you led this time are indeed not bad."

"I've watched some recordings; your attacks are very fierce."

Now your students are indeed qualified to be opponents of my students.

Smith spoke, a smile on his face.

Professor Chen: ……

He still doesn't know anything!

Lao Li was just about to explain when Smith's voice sounded again.

Chen, you are indeed trying to catch up with me, but... you are still behind the times.

You won't be my opponent, just like before.

Moreover, your students are no match for my students.

All of my students are outstanding among Ivy League schools!

You are destined to lose!

Smith is very confident.

Professor Chen furrowed his brows even tighter, and he still didn't know anything.

Smith, you are still so arrogant.

How do you know my students are inferior to yours?

My students are the best students in the world.

No matter what you say, my students can still win!

Yes, Professor Chen said these words even though he didn't know anything.

He is just such a person, having absolute confidence and trust in his own students.

Smith shook his head and said, "Chen, do you still remember the wormhole? I have already done sufficient in-depth research on the wormhole."

And my research was completed with the help of these students.

So, you have no chance.

Having said that, Smith led several of his students forward.

……

Lao Li told Professor Chen the whole story.

Professor Chen stared blankly for a while.

He never expected that his students had secretly entered the finals!

He couldn't help but look at Lu Yu, opening his mouth, but he didn't know what to say.

Everything was Lu Yu's idea.

And Lu Yu really led the team to the finals!

To Professor Chen, this is already a miracle!

He actually had all sorts of opinions about Lu Yu before!

But as for apologizing, he ultimately didn't know how to say it.

"Compete well, no matter the result, I will be proud of you." In the end, Chen Jiaosou only said these words.

At this moment, he should have been excited, but now he appears... dejected and unwilling.

It's as if... he had already seen Mo Du Electronic Science and Technology University fail again.

"Professor Chen, rest assured, we will win this match!" Lu Yu spoke.

Professor Chen glanced at Lu Yu, thought for a moment, still shook his head, and said, "You can't win. Smith has already done in-depth research on the wormhole."

This technology, even I... have no confidence to crack.

So... just getting this far is already very good.

From now on, just enjoy the match.

Everyone fell silent.

Professor Chen doesn't even have confidence to crack it?

What about them?
