She leaned close to Wu Yue's ear and whispered, "Many of our tribespeople want to eat meat; I'll go tell A Mu about it—you first stay with our gathering team's people to exchange."

Wu Yue's eyes lit up, and the two young females let out the same sly giggle—they really are two little clever sprites.

The woven bag for collecting bitter greens had come somewhat undone, so Wu Yue simply fixed it, making a simple grass sandal and slipping it onto Qingcao's foot: "I'll take you back."

Qingcao waved her hand carelessly: "No need, the wound doesn't hurt at all."

Having said that, she quickly jumped out of the cave and ran far away.

Wu Yue shook her head helplessly, hung up the meat reserved for herself, cut the large pieces of meat with shells and placed them on the stone slab, waiting for the exchange.

Not long after, Wu Yue heard a chattering of voices; looking up at the cave mouth, she saw a dozen or so females carrying beast-skin bags, following Qingcao's lead, hurrying quickly toward her cave.

The moment they saw Wu Yue, their eyes lit up and their steps quickened even more.

"Yue, Qingcao said you want to trade meat for wild vegetables?"

The thin young female looked at Wu Yue with a face full of anticipation.

The surrounding females perked up their ears at the words, their gazes converging on her.

Wu Yue gave a light laugh, turned and took from the cave several pieces of meat already strung on grass rope: "The Beastman Warrior gave me more meat than I can eat alone; it would go to waste, so I want to trade the excess for some wild vegetables—feel free to take whichever piece you like."

The females exchanged glances, their eyes shining; "Such wool, not to pluck would be inhuman!"

They immediately rushed forward to pick the meat they liked, then left behind the wild vegetables and fruits they had brought, and hurried home happily.

Looking at the pile of wild vegetables in the cave, as high as a small hill, Wu Yue laughed and cried at once—this is perhaps too much.

Could she possibly complain that these females are too honest?

"Yue, hurry up and put away the wild vegetables; I also need to head home, and I'll let you know in advance next time we go gathering."
