Chapter 37: Reward

After bidding farewell to the two sisters Qing Hua and Qingcao, Wu Yue returned to the mountain cave where she lived.

I always thought those thatched huts were where slaves lived, but unexpectedly the people living inside were all pure humans, and they would also be my future residence.

The system, quietly tucked into a corner of the program, silently shifted a bit, without lifting its head, continued to browse the manual.

Sensing the system's silence, Wu Yue's chest heaved with anger: "Wasn't it supposed to be a grand chopping board?"

Aside from size, what difference does this thing in front of me have compared to the stone slab I brought back before?

"Um, host, calm down, I just checked the manual—this chopping board is still pretty awesome; don't look down on it because of its appearance, or it'll feel hurt."

Wu Yue gave a sideways glance: "I'm more upset than it is; give me a chance, convince me—I need to know where its awesomeness lies."

The system fawningly chuckled: "First, this chopping board is lightweight and easy to carry; second, blah blah—don't believe me, host, try it?"

Wu Yue eyed the sturdy-looking chopping board skeptically, tentatively lifted a corner and picked it up: "Huh?"

"This folding function is not bad."

The system wiped a cold sweat from its forehead, finally satisfied.

The mechanical voice sounded again, and the ensuing reward made Wu Yue's heart race instantly.

The backpack weaving method—now that's a truly useful reward.

"System, please send more quests like this in the future."

The system was speechless: "Host, this is a mainline quest; the ones you did before were trigger quests, so their rewards can't compare."

Wu Yue stared, dumbfounded: "Are rewards tiered?"

The system scoffed: "That's inevitable; with your current points you can only unlock the mainline of the living section."

Wu Yue's eyes gleamed: "Are there any other exciting mainline quests?"

The system in a cold tone: "Weakling host, keep at it; a wonderful life awaits you."

Heh, Dog System, no more love.
