Chapter 1002 - 1010: Very Direct

"However, ever since they parted from the last film crew, Jane Sampson has helped Mona Calm a great deal. She truly regards Mona as a friend of her own, just like she considers Coco Edwards a friend.

So, as Coco said, Mona’s rejection from yesterday really hurt, truly disappointing.

Jane Sampson and Coco Edwards understood Mona’s choice, but they couldn’t pretend that what happened yesterday didn’t occur.

"Sister Jane, I’m really sorry," Mona sobbed with her head hanging low.

"Mona, you really don’t need to apologize to me because you didn’t do anything wrong," Jane said seriously to Mona.

At this time, Coco came over with their meal. Seeing Mona crying and apologizing to Jane, she didn’t join the conversation but quietly sat down next to Jane and spread out their food on the table.

When Mona saw Coco return, she cried out her name, "Sister Coco."

Coco acted as if she hadn’t heard and didn’t respond.

Mona stood for a while and then walked away, understanding the situation.

After she left, Coco let out a soft sigh, "Seeing her like that makes me feel a bit bad inside."

Jane just hmmed and reached for the fried crispy meat with her chopsticks, thinking that Coco was upset over Mona and wouldn’t notice. But as soon as her chopsticks touched the crispy meat, Coco slapped the back of her hand.

Jane pouted and withdrew her hand, rubbing the back of it, "The people responsible for our food are going too far, serving us large portions of meat every day. I need to protest."

"You might not want to eat, but the rest of us enjoy it very much," Coco said cheerfully as she moved Jane’s portion of the crispy meat over to her side, "Come on, eat more vegetables to grow faster."

"I’m tall enough already," Jane replied.

"Among the average height for girls, you’re not dragging down the average, but compared to your man at home, you’re not tall. To kiss him, you have to stand on your toes, right?" After saying this, Coco burst out laughing and gossiped, "When you and Mr. Black kissy-kissy, don’t your toes get tired?"

"..." Jane took a sip of soup and responded unfazed, "I don’t kissy-kissy with him. He’s so annoying, who would want to kissy-kissy with him?

"Skipping kissy-kissy and going straight to bang-bang-bang?" Coco feigned shock, "Wow, that’s very direct of you!"

Jane accidentally spat out a mouthful of soup.

"Just say what you want to say, why are you clapping!" Jane stuffed a piece of meat into Coco’s mouth, "Hurry up and use eating to shut up your loose-tongued mouth!"

"Mmm, tasty," Coco munched and swallowed, then continued, "No need to be shy, there’s still a hickey on your neck. If the collars of your clothes weren’t so high, the makeup artist would have a hard time covering up the strawberries on your body."

"Coco, if you shut up now, I’ll go to Sister Tin and ask for a five-dollar raise in your salary every month," Jane retorted through clenched teeth, hastily reaching up to adjust her collar.

Last night James Black had kissed her for a long time, and Jane knew very well that pretty much everywhere on her body bore his marks.
