Chapter 1008 - 1016: What Do You Want the Holiday for?
Jane Sampson wasn’t sure if James Black would see her message, so she waited a few minutes, and when he didn’t reply, she reluctantly put her mobile phone down and lay in bed, rolling around excitedly.
Just the thought of James Black giving her a gift tomorrow made her inexplicably happy. What should she do?
This guy was on duty with the guard team tomorrow, so how was he going to give her the gift?
Was he going to drive to the film and TV town tomorrow night especially to give it to her?
Or what?
In any case, it shouldn’t be a scam, right?
Because she was harboring great anticipation in her heart, Jane Sampson woke up early naturally the next day.
This was the first time since she came to film and TV town that she woke up on her own without Coco Edwards needing to call her.
When Coco Edwards came to find Jane after getting ready and saw that Jane was already prepared, Coco was momentarily stunned.
"The sun must have risen from the west today. You went to bed so late last night, and yet you’re up so early." Coco teased Jane. "You really scared me."
"There’s always a time when I suddenly become diligent and even scare myself. I got up early this morning and even relearned the lines for today’s scenes," Jane laughed. "Although I came back late last night, I washed up and went to bed early, didn’t sleep a wink, and had a great rest."
"Didn’t your man call you last night? He specifically told me to let him know if we got back to the hotel," Coco continued, adding, "Maybe he missed you but was worried that calling you might disturb your work if you hadn’t finished yet."
"That’s not it," Jane shook her head. "You still don’t understand him. He wants to keep me from staying up late."
With that, Jane chuckled.
"Why should I understand your man? Knowing you is enough for me," Coco shrugged, then suggested, "Since you’re up early, let’s head to the film set early for makeup, and let the director praise you too."
With nothing else to do at the hotel, they went downstairs to the self-service restaurant for breakfast and then straight to the film set. Jane’s makeup was intricate, so getting there early helped finish it sooner.
Sure enough, James Chip was shocked to see Jane arriving so much earlier and stared at her in amazement.
Jane didn’t explain much and directly hummed a tune as she headed for the dressing room.
Only when her makeup was done and she began to get her hair styled did Jane pick up her mobile phone to check it, seeing a message from James made her eyes twinkle with amusement.
There’s a reward. Be on the lookout today. — Jane Sampson’s Mr.Black.
Jane couldn’t contain her laughter and grinned at Coco Edwards, who was stunned by Jane’s jubilant mood so early in the morning.
"Why are you laughing?" Coco couldn’t help but ask Jane. "I noticed you’ve been in a great mood since this morning. Is there some good news I don’t know about?"
"I’m not telling you yet," Jane responded, hiding her smile from Coco and lowering her head to reply to James.
Morning? Or noon? Or maybe evening? — James Black’s wife.
Very soon. — Jane Sampson’s Mr.Black.
Work hard, these next few days might be tough, but then let James Chip give you a day or two off. — Jane Sampson’s Mr.Black.
Work brings me joy, happiness, why would I need a vacation? — James Black’s wife.
