Chapter 1105 - 1113: The Customized One

~3 min read 578 words

"Which one? The one James Black gave you?" Coco Edwards hurriedly ran back to Jane Sampson’s side.

Others might not know, but Coco knew that everything James Black gave to Jane Sampson was a treasure to her.

"It’s the custom one." Jane’s eyes were red.

That morning, Coco had even reminded her to put away her valuable stuff.

But Jane had thought that while thieves stealing money was understandable, they surely wouldn’t take used cosmetics, right?

Moreover, she had heard from the makeup artist inside the crew that some extras were dishonest, taking things from the supporting staff and the makeup artist, so she dared not bring her belongings to the film crew.

Because she only had Coco as an assistant, and sometimes Coco was too busy to look after those things.

But she hadn’t expected that in just one daytime, when she returned, her stuff was also missing.

It didn’t matter if a facial mask was lost, nor if a cashmere towel was gone, but the custom lipstick was the first gift from James Black, and it was her most favorite gift.

Since she loved it so much, Jane carried it with her wherever she went and especially loved applying that lipstick.

"I’ll make a call to the director and tell him about your situation," said Coco.

"You go to your room first and see if anything from yours is missing," Jane stood up and said, "Here, I’ll look carefully again, then I’ll make a list of everything that’s missing."

"Okay." Coco nodded, no longer in the mood to eat, she went straight back to her room.

Her room was next door to Jane’s, so if Jane’s things were missing, hers might not be spared.

Coco had been working for many years and had never experienced losing things in a hotel before.

Besides, when she went out for work, she didn’t wear makeup and wore whatever she liked. Girls, especially girls of Coco’s age, all have some jewelry, right?

After Coco left, Jane thoroughly inspected her room inside and out and only then did she realize that she had lost quite a lot of stuff.

From unopened sanitary napkins and lipstick worth more than 200 bucks, to a cashmere scarf worth several thousand bucks, and then the custom lipstick worth more than 300,000 that James Black had given her.

About ten minutes later, Coco came back, and by the expression on her face as she entered, Jane knew that she too had lost things.

"What did you lose?" Jane asked anxiously.

"Damn! Are they sick? They even stole underwear! What is wrong with them!" Coco exclaimed, scratching her head, "I just realized after checking – I lost two newly bought pieces of underwear, a set of jewelry that I had just taken off the day before yesterday, and a lot of the heating pads I prepared for you are missing too."

"I’ll call James Chip right away, and then everyone will tally what they’ve lost together. I want to report this to the police," said Jane, "Even excluding others’, the total amount I’ve lost is already substantial enough to warrant a report."

Jane didn’t care about anything else; she just wanted to get her custom lipstick back.

"That’s fine, you call James Chip," Coco nodded, "I’m going to ask the others about their situation, see if they lost anything."

After saying this, Coco patted Jane’s shoulder to comfort her before she opened the door and walked out.
