Chapter 1140 - 1148: When You Default

Coco Edwards couldn’t be discharged from the hospital yet, and Harry Little Money stayed with her, as the distance from home was too great, Coco hadn’t asked to inform her family, so when Jane Sampson and Lucy Brisk left, they were still quite worried about her.

The drive from the small city district in Cloud Province to King Town took nearly three hours on the highway. The driver was a member of the film crew’s personnel, and these past days, the crew, except for the injured ones staying in the hospital, had already arrived in King Town one after another.

People like Hibiscus Wood had also spent a night in King Town to rest.

Knowing that James Black was to arrive today, Jane Sampson was so excited last night that she barely slept. Once the car hit the highway, she took a pillow from Lucy Brisk, who was sitting in the co-pilot seat, and laid down on the rear seat to slouch.

She kept clutching her mobile phone in her hand, glancing at it from time to time to see if there were any messages.

Even knowing that James Black’s airplane would take more than two hours to reach King Town, Jane still couldn’t help but open WhatsAPP to check his avatar, as if by just looking, she could see some new message.

Just a look, was all it was.

Yet, Jane couldn’t help sending several WhatsAPP messages to James Black.

I bet you haven’t got off the airplane at this time. —— James Black’s wife.

After sending the message, Jane held her mobile phone and snickered to herself, knowing that James Black’s flight might not even have taken off yet, so naturally, he wouldn’t be able to reply to her message.

After sending the message, Jane put away her phone, hugged the pillow, and dozed off for more than half an hour. When she woke up, the first thing she did was to take out her phone and look again.

Only half an hour had passed.

After thinking for a moment, she sent another WhatsAPP message to James Black.

Will you take me to eat King Town’s spicy hotpot after you arrive in King Town, James? If you don’t reply within two minutes, I’ll take that as your agreement, okay? —— James Black’s wife.

Two minutes later.

Two minutes are up! I’ll take that as your agreement then! After the hotpot, can I add a cup of cold drink too? —— James Black’s wife.

After sending these messages, Jane finally felt like she had teased enough, put away her phone, and continued to happily hum a song while hugging the pillow in the back seat.

Lucy Brisk and the driver in the front could feel Jane Sampson’s good mood.

"Sister Jane, you seem to be in a good mood?" the young driver asked curiously.

"I feel quite good after leaving Cloud Province," Jane laughed.

She hadn’t even gone back to the hotel. Her and Coco’s luggage had been packed and brought to the hospital by Harry and Lucy.

Leaving Cloud Province, escaping the place that frightened her, was why Jane was in such good spirits.

But that wasn’t the reason.

The main reason was that James Black was coming.

However, the driver and Lucy were not Coco Edwards. Regarding James Black, Jane didn’t plan to make it common knowledge throughout the cast and crew, given James’ special status.

The young driver chuckled, thinking that Jane meant she felt the same as he did, so he continued to drive and chat with Jane about things that happened back in Cloud Province.

Time flew as if time on the airplane passed very quickly.

This was the first time James Black had used his privilege to change his flight to the next one heading to King Town. The departure time was only five minutes different from his original flight to Cloud Province.
