Chapter 2230 - 2239: Be Careful
Jane Sampson didn’t ask about James Black’s attitude, because it was obvious that James Black wouldn’t want it since he didn’t want to get involved with the Miller Family in any way.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have such an attitude toward Rachel Miller.
Old Master Black probably knows all about the Miller Family matters.
None of the Miller Family’s issues reached James Black’s ears, likely because Old Master Black deliberately kept it from him.
For Old Master Black, the Miller Family had a deep-seated resentment, a hatred for the death of his daughter, so the miserable state of the Miller Family garnered no sympathy or compassion from Old Master Black or James Black.
For the Black Family, all the outcomes for the Miller Family were nothing but retribution.
Ultimately, how Rachel Miller would handle his inheritance had nothing to do with James Black, and Jane Sampson wouldn’t be concerned either.
No one thinks there’s too much money.
However, people do care about how and where the money comes from.
After leaving the mansion, Jane Sampson and James Black didn’t immediately go home but drove to the residence of Liam Woody and Mair Williams.
After Mair Williams discovered her pregnancy, the Woody Family came to propose marriage. At first, although Liam Woody nearly fainted Mair Williams’s parents with anger, eventually, seeing Liam Woody as reliable, Mair’s parents didn’t further investigate the issue of premarital pregnancy and agreed to their marriage.
Although the wedding feast hadn’t been held yet, the two had already obtained their marriage certificate.
At the doorway, it was Mair Williams who opened the door for them.
As soon as she saw Jane Sampson, Mair Williams gave her a big bear hug, practically hanging onto Jane Sampson, which made the two men behind watch nervously.
"Be careful." Jane Sampson patted Mair Williams’s arm, "You’re going to be a mom now; how come you’re even more reckless than before?"
"It’s all pent up." Mair Williams released Jane Sampson, took her hand, and led her inside, complaining to Jane Sampson, "Ever since I announced my pregnancy, I’ve been treated like tofu, fragile tofu that breaks at the slightest touch. My dad and mom, his dad and mom, even he, don’t let me touch anything."
Now, Mair Williams had already stopped working and stayed at home every day to rest, and at first, she had a hard time getting used to suddenly having so much free time.
Other pregnant women can go for strolls, but she can’t for fear of being recognized by fans.
They hired an Aunt, so Mair doesn’t have to do much at home, and pulling Jane Sampson to sit on the sofa, she let Jane Sampson feel the baby in her belly.
"I only have one request for the child, don’t be like his father." Mair Williams whispered to Jane Sampson, "There’s already one gloomy calabash at home, we can’t have another one."
Jane Sampson glanced over at the two gloomy calabashes beside her, and couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
James Black and Liam Woody sat watching her and Mair Williams without saying a word.
The soldiers James Black trained are like him.
"Did you find out the baby’s gender?" Jane Sampson asked curiously, "What’s it like with the baby in your belly?"
"Yes, it’s a boy, so I’m not too worried." Since it’s a boy, it doesn’t matter even if he inherits Liam Woody’s dark complexion.
Mair Williams laughed, "The feeling of having the baby in my belly, it’s like carrying the whole world inside me, it’s an incredibly exciting and happy feeling."
"Carrying the whole world?" Jane Sampson was amazed by Mair Williams’s description.
