Chapter 760 - 768: Just Calm

"She’s gone?" Jane Sampson asked, dumbfounded as she looked around the empty study. "When did she leave without even saying goodbye?"

Jane Sampson stayed in the study for two minutes. Since James Black wasn’t there and she was bored being alone, she followed suit and left the study too.

After leaving the study, she first went to the bedroom to look for him, and only after not finding James Black, she went downstairs. In the end, it was by the swimming pool in the courtyard where she found him.

James Black did answer Jane Sampson.

He said, "Just trying to cool down."

"Then you keep standing here to cool down," Jane Sampson muttered with pursed lips, and she turned to scamper back into the house.

When Jane Sampson was young and naive, she’d watch these dramas while listening to Old Master Black and Grandpa Sampton bellow at the screen, calling them nonsense, yet in her heart, she thought those protagonists were so formidable and cool.

After flipping through a few pages of the spy drama script, Jane Sampson set it aside and picked up the other script to start reading.

In the entirety of the drama, the villainous female supporting role played a very important part in driving many climaxes and twists. Moreover, this antagonist wasn’t obviously bad on the surface and easily recognized as a villain.
