Chapter 889 - 897 Reflect on Yourself
Her hands gently tugged at the hem of his clothes, meeting his ascent when his tongue probed.
A kiss that was still unfamiliar a few months ago had now become a small part of her life.
She was familiar with his breath, the temperature of his lips, and the little habits he had when he kissed her.
In the spring night that could not be concealed, occasional soft moans escaped from her lips, and suppressed emotions, blended with his breath close at hand, merged together. When the room returned to silence, the two lay in each other’s arms, already drenched in sweat.
She curled up in his arms like a lazy cat, excessively docile at this time, her face flushed, her forehead beaded with sweat.
"Jane Sampson." James Black softly wrapped his right hand around her waist, feeling very peaceful in his arms, as he called out to her.
"Hmm~" the person in his arms responded with a light tremble in her voice, laced with a hint of sleepiness.
"Tired?" James’s palm swept across her forehead, wiping the sweat from her brow. After the night of indulgence, even their hearts seemed to quiet down.
He bowed his head and gently kissed the top of her head, "If you’re not tired, let’s talk."
"Talk about what~" Jane Sampson moved slightly, but then lifted her head to look at James Black, her hands wrapped around his waist tightened unnaturally, pressing closer to him.
"Talk about the matter you specifically came to discuss with me today," James said, his fingertips lightly flicking on Jane Sampson’s forehead as he said the word "talk."
The person who was still sleepy instantly perked up, her hands releasing James’s waist, answering clearly, "Sure!"
James Black’s eyebrows twitched, his voice suddenly displeased, "Did I tell you to let go?"
"..." Jane Sampson was stunned for a moment, then obediently stretched out her hand to embrace him once more, offering a fawning smile, "Holding you now, can we talk?"
"Cloud Province is very far from Capital Province," James Black began with such a statement. "Your part in the drama this time is significant. It’s indeed challenging to free up time every month, and even if you have two or three days of rest each month, if I make you come back, you would basically spend it all on getting to and from the airport and on the airplane."
Knowing that Jane Sampson was going to Cloud Province, James Black actually did not have the heart to let her shuttle back and forth.
If he really made her travel so much, what if she fell ill from exhaustion? In the end, wouldn’t he be the one to worry and fret?
He had refused Jane Sampson so many times, simply because, in everything she said, she had not made him feel her dependence on him, or rather, the reluctance to part for such a long time.
Jane Sampson did not immediately respond but quietly waited for James Black to continue.
James Black fell silent for a few seconds before speaking again, "Reflect on why I didn’t agree."
The question came unexpectedly.
Jane Sampson’s fingers pinched the flesh of James Black’s waist, her gaze aimlessly drifting from side to side.
"Whenever you reflect to my satisfaction, that’s when I’ll agree to you," James Black finished speaking, then rubbed Jane’s head, "Now, close your eyes and sleep."
Is that it?
No more talking?
Reflect?
Reflect on what?
Jane Sampson looked bewildered at James Black who had already closed his eyes, clearly not intending to entertain her any further.
Jane Sampson closed her eyes imitating James Black, but in her mind, there was a jumble of the capitalized word "REFLECT."
