Chapter 936 - 944: A Bit Reluctant to Part
Jane Sampson sighed, "This is definitely the fastest film crew I’ve ever seen. I heard that all the costumes needed by the crew were designed before the casting, the design team is a very famous domestic company, and the moment my role was confirmed, the personnel from the crew asked Sister Tin for my measurements."
Actually, James Black already knew these things Jane Sampson spoke of; as soon as Jane’s cast was confirmed, Rock Bell sent him a copy—probably, he knew even before Jane herself did.
But, even though he already knew, he just loved listening to Jane while she was in his arms, talking about anything related to her, no matter how big or small.
After talking about so many things, Jane then mentioned the most important thing, "In other words, about the time I finish Kane Forest’s work, I’ll probably have to go directly to the filming set, and there’s a good chance I won’t have any free time in between."
"Hmm," James Black nodded, directly picked up the person in his arms, carried her into the bedroom, and asked, "The weekend is over, too; how’s that reflection coming along?"
Seeing Jane Sampson pouting, pretending to be dumb by batting her eyes at him, James Black chuckled, "Then come back once a month."
After finishing his words, he put her down on the bed and pressed down against her.
The young wife would be leaving the guard team early tomorrow morning; such a sweet young wife, naturally, he wanted to take the time to savor her a bit more.
The next morning, just as James Black got up, Jane Sampson followed suit.
She had set an alarm.
After having breakfast, James Black and Jane Sampson left home together.
The car was parked near James Black’s dormitory, and he walked with Jane towards it.
"I’m leaving now." Jane Sampson opened the car door but didn’t hurry to get in, instead looking down at her hand held by James’s, shaking it lightly.
James Black grunted in response, but his hand showed no intention of letting go.
Jane looked up at him, thought for a moment, then tiptoed to peck lightly on his lips.
Only then did James Black let go of her hand and pressed her head down gently, admonishing a couple of things, "Drive slowly, and if you are late, let them wait for you a while."
"Okay, sure," Jane Sampson nodded, then twirled her toes on the ground, feeling somewhat hesitant, or perhaps, a bit embarrassed.
After James Black urged her to get into the car, she suddenly threw herself into his arms, holding his waist tightly, whispering softly as if to murmur to him.
"I will miss you, think of you whenever I’m free, call you, message you on WhatsAPP, and when I have time, I’ll come to the guard team to be with you." Jane’s face rubbed against his chest, "I’m a bit reluctant to leave you, but still, I have to go to work. Also, after you eat your evening meal, if you have time, you should call me, and think of me too when you’re free."
This embrace and these words were definitely beyond James Black’s expectations.
Looking down at the person in his arms, who was talking while scrunching her little nose, James Black’s heart quivered slightly, softening instantly.
"Okay," James Black kissed her hair, then gently pushed her back, urging her to get into the car.
Jane Sampson’s car had driven far away, out of sight, and yet James Black was still standing there, watching the direction she left.
It was more than just a little reluctance to let her go.
It was great reluctance.
After a few days with her by his side, it seemed impossible to get used to a life without her again.
