Chapter 962 - 970 Take Your Stuff Back
"Okay," Coco Edwards nodded, but did not follow Jane Sampton further. Instead, she sat down next to where Jane had been.
James Chip saw that Amber Edwards had come today with such a grand entry again but said nothing to her, seeing her doing her makeup at her resting spot, he held his tongue and still said nothing.
However, when he called Amber Edwards for her scene and saw that her acting skills hadn’t improved much from yesterday, he couldn’t restrain himself anymore.
"Amber Edwards, stand by the side and observe. You don’t need to rush filming these few days. Learn properly how the others are acting. If you don’t understand something, ask the teachers in the crew," James Chip practically had to personally escort Amber Edwards off the film set.
Amber was in a good mood today and didn’t get angry, but instead smiled and agreed readily to James Chip, and then she went to the side to wait, watching the crew members munch on the tangerines she had brought. Her mood improved even more.
She had brought fruits today, and those teachers stopped making excuses to refuse. Everyone accepted them, so she had successfully embarrassed Jane Sampton today.
These people, having eaten Amber Edwards’s gifts and accepted her favors, would naturally not associate closely with Jane Sampton anymore.
Although Jane Sampton was the female supporting role, her part in the drama was not much lighter than the female lead’s. She said she would rest later during a break to find Coco Edwards and chrysanthum tea, but in reality, she had no time to rest. She had to listen to James Chip explain the next scene during her breaks and the chances to sip water were squeezed from her schedule. Coco even had to bring the water to her lips, and Jane sipped it when the camera wasn’t focused on her.
By the time she had finished her morning scenes, it was already lunchtime.
Jane Sampton just collapsed on her reclining chair, exhausted, and took a long breath.
When she felt a shadow over her face, Jane thought it was Coco Edwards returning. She opened her eyes and saw, instead, the Sampton family driver.
"Miss, this is the lunch Madam instructed me to bring you. Also, these are the items Madam and the second miss purchased yesterday while shopping for you," he said.
Mona Calm sat watching the logos on those shopping bags and couldn’t help but look at them a few times more.
All were from luxury brands that could cost her an entire drama’s worth of pay for a single item.
"Leave the lunchbox, take the rest back, and tell my mother that I have someone to buy what I need, and she needn’t go through the expense anymore," Jane Sampton said. "Also, tell her that the crew provides meals, and she doesn’t need to go through the trouble of sending food all the way across Capital Province City."
Jane Sampton’s manner was somewhat indifferent. Seeing that there was no indication from Jane of wanting to keep the items, the driver had no choice but to take everything back, leaving only a lunchbox before leaving.
After the man had left, Mona asked Jane in a low voice, "My God, those brands are so expensive! Your mother gave that to you, and you just refused them like that?"
Mona’s face was full of envy. "If my mother could buy me those, I’d wake up laughing in my dreams."
Of course, Mona was from the countryside, and her mother’s income, even if she saved for a year without eating or drinking, couldn’t afford a single piece of that jewelry.
"I just don’t want them, why so many questions?" Jane snapped back internally. Those items sent by Mother Sampton were things she didn’t even desire to look at.
The only possibility when shopping with Julie Sampton would be picking up Julie’s unwanted leftovers.
This thought bitterly crossed Jane Sampton’s mind.
