Chapter 609: Mayuri
"Don't worry, Mayuri." Li An walked over, gently patted Shiina Mayuri's head, and said softly, "I'll be fine." His eyes were full of reassurance, trying to put Shiina Mayuri at ease.
Makise Kurisu stood quietly to one side. Her brow furrowed slightly, and a hint of worry showed in her eyes, but what outweighed it was trust in Li An: "I believe Li An has his own considerations; let's stay here and pray for him." Her voice was calm and steady, bringing a measure of comfort to everyone.
Amane Suzuha gave a slight nod, her eyes revealing calm and resolve: "Li An, we'll be waiting for you to come back." Her voice was low and strong, brimming with trust.
Itaru scratched his head and laughed good-naturedly: "Li An, you have to come back safe and sound." His face shone with a sincere smile that made people feel warm.
Although his companions tried hard to dissuade him, Li An's mind was made up. He bade farewell to his companions and set out alone on the journey to the villain's lair.
When Li An arrived at the villain's lair, night had already fallen. The lair was located inside an abandoned factory, surrounded by an eerie atmosphere. The factory walls were covered in moss, the windows were broken, and they let out creaking sounds, as if telling the horror stories of this place.
"This is the place." Li An took a deep breath, his eyes revealing resolve and determination. He adjusted his gear and slowly walked into the factory.
The moment he stepped inside the factory, a thick wave of dark aura rushed at him. The surrounding air seemed to freeze, sending a chill down one's spine. Li An watched his surroundings warily, gripping his weapon tightly, ready to face any danger that might appear.
Suddenly, a string of eerie laughter came from every direction, echoing throughout the factory: "You've finally come, Li An." The voice seemed to come from the depths of hell, cold and full of mockery.
"Come out, stop hiding!" Li An shouted loudly, his voice echoing through the factory, full of force. A flash of anger showed in his eyes as he stared fixedly at the dark corners.
