Chapter 630: Is This the Place?

This factory looked as if it had been abandoned for a long time; moss crawled all over the walls, and the great gate was streaked with rust. A stale, musty air hung all around, chilling one to the bone.

"Is this the place?" Li An drew a deep breath and slowly pushed open the factory's great gate. The hinges let out a piercing "creak" that echoed through the empty factory.

Stepping inside, the factory was dark and damp, filled with a sharp, acrid smell. Broken-down machines stood all around, and various bits of junk littered the floor. Li An walked forward cautiously, every step brimming with vigilance.

Suddenly, he sensed a powerful force surging from deep within the factory, as if something were summoning him. Li An quickened his pace and headed toward the source of that power.

At the very deepest part of the factory, Li An discovered a huge circular device. It radiated a strange glow, its surface covered with bizarre symbols and patterns, looking ancient and mysterious.

"What is this?" Li An walked closer to the device and studied the symbols carefully. He activated his golden finger, trying to decode their meaning.

After much effort, Li An finally cracked part of the symbols' secret. To his astonishment, the device was actually connected to a mysterious space hidden within a rift in time and space.

"So that's how it is — all those spatial distortions were caused by this device." Li An marveled inwardly, his curiosity about that mysterious space growing all the while.

He decided to try breaking the seals on the device and enter that mysterious space. However, the moment he touched it, a powerful defensive mechanism was triggered. A surge of energy blasted toward him, and Li An swiftly dodged sideways.

"Hmph, you want to stop me? Not that easy." Li An snorted coldly, channeling the power within his body and engaging the defensive mechanism in fierce combat.

Wave after wave of energy crashed against Li An; his body trembled slightly beneath the immense force, yet his gaze remained absolutely steady. Relying on his golden finger's analysis, he nimbly evaded the defensive mechanism's attacks while searching for a way to break it.

After a grueling fight, Li An finally found the defensive mechanism's weak point. He gathered his strength and launched a fierce strike at it.

"Boom!" With a tremendous roar, the defensive mechanism was successfully shattered. The light on the device grew even more dazzling, and an entrance leading to the mysterious space slowly opened.

"I did it!" Li An shouted excitedly, his voice echoing through the factory.

The news quickly reached his companions, and they all hurried over. When they saw the opened entrance, every face showed surprise and admiration.

"Yeah, Li An." Makise Kurisu also praised him. "Your ability is truly astonishing."

"Hehe, Li An really is amazing!" Daru laughed good-naturedly.

"Li An, you're so awesome!" Shiina Mayuri clapped her hands joyfully.
