……

But the F-86 fighters in their panicked retreat were no match for the J-6 in terms of speed.

The J-6 formation easily caught up to the fleeing enemy aircraft and used their 30mm cannons to fire in bursts.

The massive muzzles spewed orange-red flames, and the heavy shells whistled as they pierced the enemy aircraft's thin armor, tearing them into fragments.

"Eagle Two has shot down one enemy aircraft, using cannons."

"Eagle Five has hit an enemy bomber, target is on fire and falling."

"Eagle Nine, missile launched, direct hit!"

For a time, the sky was filled with explosions, fireballs, and falling wreckage.

The speed and maneuverability that the F-86 fighter prided itself on appeared so pale and powerless in front of the J-6.

Even more terrifying was that the J-6 not only possessed advantages in speed and firepower but was also equipped with Air-to-Air Missiles that no air force in the world possessed at the time.

This overwhelming technological advantage made the enemy pilots experience an unprecedented sense of powerlessness.

The B-26 Bomber formation also fell into a hellish situation.

These large bombers were slow and had poor maneuverability, making it completely impossible to dodge the J-6's attacks.

The 30mm cannon shells easily penetrated their armor, detonating fuel tanks and ammunition.

Some pilots tried to dodge the attacks by lowering their altitude, only to find that the J-6's diving speed was faster than their maximum flight speed.

"Damn it, they're too fast!" a B-26 Bomber pilot shouted in despair, "We don't even have a chance to fight back!"

The bomber's right wing was suddenly hit by a burst of shells, and the entire wing was instantly riddled with holes and began to emit black smoke.

"The engine is on fire! We're going to crash!" he shouted into the communicator in terror, "Requesting support! Repeat, requesting support!"

But no support could arrive.

The escorting F-86 fighters had already been suppressed by the J-6 to the point of having no power to fight back, and they were completely unable to provide protection for the bombers.

The bomber group fell into total chaos, and the pilots desperately changed their flight paths, trying to escape this sudden disaster.

But no matter how they flew, the J-6 could easily catch up and shoot them down.

"Command, this is the bomber formation leader! We have encountered unidentified high-speed fighters and missile systems, and have suffered heavy losses! Requesting emergency support! Repeat, requesting emergency support!"

There was only noisy static on the radio; it seemed that even headquarters was too shocked by this terrible news to respond.

Major Fox looked in despair as one B-26 after another was shot down around him, their burning wreckage falling toward the ground.

Various warning lights on the dashboard lit up one after another, and the cockpit was filled with acrid smoke.

"We're done for," the co-pilot muttered to himself, "their weapons... are too advanced..."

"Shut up!" Major Fox roared, though his eyes were already full of despair, "Keep evading, don't give up!"

Just then, their B-26 shook violently, and a series of explosions came from all over the fuselage.

The 30mm cannon shells riddled the entire fuselage like a sieve, the hydraulic system was pierced, and the control surfaces began to fail.

"I can't control her anymore!" Fox pulled desperately at the unresponsive control stick, "Prepare to bail out! Everyone prepare to bail out!"

But it was too late.

Another round of cannon fire hit the fuel tank, and the entire B-26 was instantly engulfed in flames and disintegrated in the sky.

In just fifteen minutes, the situation in the sky had completely reversed.

The J-6 formation had almost completely annihilated the enemy bomber group with overwhelming superiority.

Out of 60 aircraft, 52 were shot down, and most of the remaining ones were also severely damaged.

The escorting F-86 fighters suffered even heavier losses; 19 out of 24 were shot down or severely damaged, and only 5 managed to escape back to base.

"Clearance complete, the sky is clear," Wang Wei reported calmly, "Preparing to return."

After completing the mission, the twelve J-6s returned in a neat formation, without a single loss.

The battle was so one-sided that the Long Country pilots found it hard to believe it was real.

"Confirming," Wang Wei couldn't help but ask, "did we really not have a single fighter shot down?"

"Confirmed, everyone is safe," the ground command center responded, their voices filled with irrepressible excitement.

When the twelve J-6s landed safely at the secret airfield, the entire base erupted.

Ground crew, mechanics, and commanders all rushed to the runway, cheering to welcome these pilots who had made history.

When the pilots climbed out of their cockpits, everyone was pale and their hands and feet were shaking—not because of fear, but because of the physiological reaction after the adrenaline faded.

Wang Wei took off his helmet, revealing a face soaked in sweat.

He tried to put on a heroic smile, only to find that his lips couldn't stop trembling.

"We... did we really win?" he asked, his voice hoarse, "Over forty bombers, nearly twenty fighters... were all shot down by us?"

Li Mingyuan stepped forward and patted his shoulder: "Yes, you have made history. This is the first large-scale air combat Victory for the Dragon Country Air Force."

Wang Wei took a deep breath and suddenly felt his legs go weak, nearly collapsing to the ground.

Li Mingyuan and several ground crew members hurried to support him.

"It's okay, this is a normal reaction," Li Mingyuan comforted him, "First time in actual combat, and you achieved such brilliant results; the body needs time to adapt."

The surrounding cheers were deafening, and soon someone brought over a bucket of ice water, pouring it over Wang Wei from head to toe to celebrate his first victory.

The other pilots received the same "treatment," sparking bursts of laughter.

The Frontline Commander-in-Chief arrived in person to shake hands with every pilot, the smile on his face almost stretching to his ears.

"Fantastic, comrades!" he said excitedly,

"The enemy thought they had the initiative on the battlefield, but you caught them off guard! This is a total Victory!"

Wang Wei wiped the water from his face; despite shivering all over, he couldn't hide his excitement:

"The J-6's performance exceeded our imagination, sir. It is much faster than the F-86, its firepower is much stronger, and plus the PL-2 Missile... honestly, this battle wasn't difficult for us at all."

"Not difficult?" the Frontline Commander-in-Chief laughed, "You have just created a miracle in the history of world aerial warfare!"

"The secret lies in the equipment, sir." Wang Wei looked toward Li Mingyuan, his eyes full of admiration, "If not for Chief Engineer Li and his team, we could not have achieved such a Victory today."

Everyone's gaze turned toward Li Mingyuan, who was standing to the side.

The Frontline Commander-in-Chief walked up to Li Mingyuan and solemnly gave a military salute:

"Chief Engineer Li, half of today's Victory is to your credit. On behalf of the Frontline Command and all the soldiers, I express my most heartfelt thanks to you."

Li Mingyuan smiled slightly and waved his hand: "This is the collective's credit; I only did a bit of technical work. The true warriors are these pilots; it is they who risked their lives to fly the J-6 into combat."

Just amidst the celebratory atmosphere, an officer hurried over and whispered a few words into the Frontline Commander-in-Chief's ear.

The Frontline Commander-in-Chief's expression immediately became serious.

"Chief Engineer Li," he beckoned to Li Mingyuan, "Intelligence has made an important discovery that requires you to look over immediately."
