Chapter 30: Heavenly Void Valley

~8 min read 1,452 words

(From the latter half of chapter 27 onward, there have been some changes; the protagonist directly broke through to the Dao Palace, you can go back and re-read from below, previously the advancement was too slow, which is disgraceful to the identity of an Imperial Son.) That passage of scripture has no name, yet it is remarkably effective.

If a sudden change occurs, causing mental confusion and unclear consciousness, as long as one chants that Buddhist scripture, one can restore clarity and calm the emotions.

Moreover, it can dispel all yin evil, and refine and transmute demonic creatures through salvation; it is their natural bane.

In that state just now, Yang Zhu understood the reason the high monk came here.

Originally, over a thousand years ago, a black copper ship suddenly appeared nearby, extremely yin and evil, harming many cultivators.

That high monk inquired, arriving holding a Dharma treasure, solely to refine it and prevent it from continuing to harm the world.

After many days of effort, the high monk finally succeeded, but he likewise paid a great price: his Dharma instrument was damaged, and his Dao cultivation was completely dissipated.

He clung to his last breath and came here, wanting to heal his wounds, but the injuries were too severe; he had long been beyond saving, and finally he entered meditation and passed away here.

"The high monk's heart embraces all beings; it is truly not easy."

Yang Zhu silently recited that passage of scripture in his heart; before long, his scattered bones gradually turned into golden sand, each grain crystal clear and translucent, and with a gentle breeze blowing, they dissipated between heaven and earth.

The wall slightly trembled, and finally turned into two doorways that slid sideways, revealing the scene beyond the doors.

Inside there were many stone compartments, embedded in a wall over a meter high, each containing various placed treasures.

There were Buddhist beads, scriptures, and also some spiritual medicines; roughly counting, there were more than ten items in total.

"Daoist priest, don't do that again next time."

As Yang Zhu walked past beside Duan De, he lightly brushed his shoulder, then proceeded inside.

"Ouch!"

Duan De was swept by the Buddha light, as if a strike fell, pulling him out and making him roll several times on the ground, leaving his face covered in dust, in a sorry state.

Yang Zhu waved his hand, gathering everything up; when Duan De crawled up and caught up, only a wooden fish remained for him.

The wooden fish looked ordinary, with nothing special, except for a conspicuous "Buddha" character, which Yang Zhu intentionally left for him.

"Damn, today I was actually set up; this dead bald gourd actually dares to toy with the Daoist master!"

Duan De's renowned great tomb would certainly not be few; how could he be frightened by this? He immediately exploded in anger and cursed loudly.

From the remaining memory fragments, it was learned that after the high monk refined the evil thing, he did not have time to destroy the copper ship, leaving a significant hidden danger.

"Until we meet again."

Yang Zhu took all these things; in passing, he fulfilled the high monk's long-held wish, giving this matter a perfect conclusion.

"Fellow Daoist, wait."

Duan De immediately followed up; on this trip he only caught a useless wooden fish—how could he be willing to accept that?

"I need to go settle some matters; there may be danger, Daoist priest, you'd better not follow."

"What are you saying? That we can meet here shows we have fate; if you have business, I, the humble Daoist, will naturally lend a hand."

Saying it's help, but actually he thought Yang Zhu must have gained some secret just now, and wanted to swallow it for himself after leaving.

"As you wish."

"The Daoist master has always cultivated good karma, and is widely beloved and respected……"

Yang Zhu ignored him, and according to his fragmentary memory, he rushed westward from the cave entrance.

"I say, can you slow down? The Daoist master can barely keep up."

Yang Zhu's speed was very fast; Duan De could not keep up at all, so he finally deployed a purple gourd, stood on it and rode the wind, barely managing to keep up.

Along the way, Yang Zhu asked Duan De about the situation here, and learned that he was actually no longer in the Eastern Wasteland, but had come to the Southern Ridge!

In a few days, the Bronze Immortal Palace carried him across a realm; this speed is truly terrifying. The two crossed over thousands of miles of mountains and forests, finally stopping before a valley.

"This place is not simple; there is the Death Water Leaving Mountain, an extremely yin terrain, which will surely breed evil things."

"Duan De truly lives up to being a 'master' in this regard; with just a glance, he saw that this place is unusual."

"I said there would be danger; you had better leave."

Yang Zhu again advised, they had only a passing acquaintance; Yang Zhu did not expect Duan De to help him, only hoping he wouldn't cause trouble.

"You brat, you look down on the Daoist master; subduing evil spirits is the Daoist master's duty!"

Duan De shifted his posture, full of indignation, believing he had been slighted, and insisted on showing his skill no matter what.

As they were speaking, two human figures rode a divine rainbow out from the valley and came before them.

"Don't you know that Heavenly Void Valley is our territory? How dare you intrude without permission?"

The speaker was a two-meter-tall monster tribe member, covered in blue feathers, with eyebrows bearing long, thin spikes, and his reddish-blue eyes were extremely cold.

The Southern Ridge monster tribe is numerous; it can even be said to be their world, and the number of human cultivators here cannot compare at all.

"What are you?"

Duan De frowned, faintly sensing a different aura from these two monster tribe members.

"We are the Green Monster Tribe; if you don't want to die, get lost!"

The other side was utterly impolite, their tone extremely cold, threatening that if the two did not leave, they should not blame them for killing.

"How rebellious of you, daring to speak to the Daoist master like that!"

Duan De was feeling angry; Yang Zhu couldn't beat him, and dealing with you two was no problem—he immediately unleashed a purple gourd, which rapidly expanded from several meters high, its mouth swallowing and exhaling rosy light, a strong suction force enveloping downward.

The mighty purple gourd's appearance was shocking; at the moment it appeared, they were stunned, and it actually tried to suck out their souls together.

"Not good, quickly call for help!"

Those two monster tribe members sensed the newcomers were hostile, turned and fled, but they were only at the Divine Bridge Realm and could not escape at all.

The purple gourd flickered, spewing purple-gold rosy light; a slight tremor sucked the two in, leaving them almost no power to resist.

If my expectation is not wrong, the copper ship is located at the deepest part of Heavenly Void Valley; I just don't know why there are so many monster tribe guards.

Yang Zhu and company ventured deep into the valley; before long, several monster tribe members rushed in, all at the Divine Bridge Realm.

"Is there a copper ship here?"

Yang Zhu did not immediately act, but asked.

Those monster races exchanged a glance upon hearing the words, a flicker of surprise flashing in their eyes. How does this youth know about the copper boat? "There's no copper boat as you say here; since you've come, don't even think of leaving."

Things have come to this; the other side's face darkened, and they had no choice but to resort to lethal means—they would not allow this news to leak out.

Yang Zhu did not want to entangle with these people; with a raise of his hand he shattered several individuals. Given his current strength, beneath the Dao Palace no one could withstand his strike.

"Strong enough!"

Duan De, seeing this, secretly felt fortunate; good thing his vision was vicious, he could tell at a glance that Yang Zhu was out of the ordinary, and he did not act rashly, otherwise he would be the one to suffer.

"Hand over the copper boat and then leave on your own, and I will not kill you."

Yang Zhu stood in mid-air; his voice was not loud, yet it echoed throughout the valley.

"Who dares be so presumptuous!"

The next moment, a stern shout came from the depths, like a great bell, especially loud.
