Chapter 3: Blue Purple Blood Crystal Flower

~10 min read 1,871 words

The earth stretched vast and wild, with monstrous beasts roaring and flying creatures calling; all manner of ripples spread outward, brimming with destructive power—carelessness meant instant death. In the wilds, even true gods had to tread carefully, fearing to provoke some terrifying beast.

Whoosh!

A ripple of space sliced across the sky—it was Luo Feng, his servant Mo Luo Sa, and Mo Yu Hu, traveling through the void, charging headlong straight toward Wei Yang City.

“An eternal true god.”

“It’s an eternal true god.”

From afar, the roaring beasts instantly dove into the water, and the vast flocks of flying creatures fled far away—wherever that space ripple passed, silence reigned!

No beast dared make a sound.

“All the beasts have gone quiet.” A true god exploration team watched the receding space ripple from afar, filled with envy and reverence. “Only an eternal true god would dare be so brazen out in the wilds.”

“If only I could become an eternal true god in this lifetime…”

“Chan Mu He, you’re dreaming too big! My wish is much smaller—I’d be satisfied just to settle in Wei Yang City.”

“Wei Yang City? That’s a major metropolis. Living there for a cycle costs one chaos crystal. Can you afford it?”

The group of true gods chatted briefly, then continued on their journey.

Luo Feng’s party flew onward, charging recklessly through the skies.

“Is this how eternal true gods travel?” Mo Yu Hu reveled in the sensation. “In the past, after leaving the city, I always tiptoed, suppressing every trace of my aura. This unguarded, unrestrained flight—this is true freedom!”

Luo Feng and Mo Luo Sa observed the Origin Continent.

What they had known before were only reports—now they saw with their own eyes: towering mountains stretching for hundreds of millions of miles, rivers that vanished into the horizon, deep and unfathomable lakes, and countless strange beasts. Luo Feng and Mo Luo Sa found it all astonishing.

The beasts’ senses were sharp—they sensed the disturbance from afar and immediately hid.

“Quite alert.”

Luo Feng made no move to capture these weak beasts. First, each beast had unique talents—capturing them was difficult. Second, their value was too low to bother with.

“My lord, ahead lies the lair of an eternal true god-level beast.” Mo Yu Hu pointed ahead. “It’s called the Horned Snake. It burrows underground. Wei Yang City’s armies have tried to hunt it down multiple times—and failed.”

“Horned Snake?” Luo Feng’s mind stirred.

An eternal true god-level beast was extremely valuable!

He had arrived on the Origin Continent with nothing, unwilling to sell the rare treasures he carried—he had to find ways to acquire resources.

“Keep your aura at the level of a void true god. Don’t scare off the Horned Snake.” Luo Feng whispered.

“Yes, master.” Mo Luo Sa, as a perfect divine body, concealed his aura flawlessly. Since arriving on the Origin Continent, he had always masked himself as a void true god. As a Jieshou , he needed absolute discretion—only time and energy were required, and eventually he would reach his peak.

Luo Feng, however, needed sufficient trials to grow.

Luo Feng, Mo Luo Sa, and Mo Yu Hu slowed their pace, suppressing their aura ripples as they approached the Horned Snake’s lair.

Hum~~~

Deep within the distant mountains, a colossal golden single eye gazed at them from afar—immediately, Luo Feng felt spatial pressure surge a hundred millionfold; space itself twisted, and nearby rocks and trees vanished into dust without a sound.

Luo Feng’s divine power naturally resisted the terrifying pressure, shielding his companions.

“Eternal true god, what do you want?” The massive Horned Snake gazed from deep within the mountains, wary, sending a mental message.

Huh.

Luo Feng ignored it, accelerating straight toward the mountain.

“Dare to follow.” The Horned Snake’s mental voice echoed—then it vanished into thin air.

Luo Feng stopped. He sensed the Horned Snake’s aura had sunk deep into the earth—and was still burrowing deeper.

“Earth Dunxing ?” Luo Feng frowned. “Time, space, and matter on the Origin Continent are incredibly stable. Even I find burrowing difficult. Yet this Horned Snake vanished instantly. It must have mastered the source of some earth-related law.”

“Master, shall we pursue?” Mo Luo Sa asked.

“We can’t catch it.” Luo Feng shook his head.

He mastered the Source of Birth and Death; Mo Luo Sa excelled only in the Path of Destruction. Both were better suited for direct combat—earth Dunxing was beyond their expertise.

“These beasts are truly remarkable. Though low in intellect, they naturally master the sources of laws through their bloodline. Even the mightiest beasts possess divine king-level power purely through bloodline.”

“Master, this Horned Snake is truly cowardly.” Mo Luo Sa remarked.

“It is a bit timid.” Luo Feng smiled. The moment it sensed me, it fled into the earth.

“It’s not surprising.” Luo Feng said. “These eternal true god-level beasts gain their power solely through bloodline Tianfu . But the myriad races cultivate secret arts, wield powerful weapons, and comprehend the essence of laws. At the same level, eternal true god-level beasts usually cannot match true gods. So very few dare face them directly.”

“But those who do dare are no ordinary eternal true god-level beasts.” Luo Feng said. “Among them, occasionally appear exceptionally powerful ones.”

Beasts with superior strength at the same level usually possessed rarer bloodlines—and thus higher value. One such beast might be worth ten, or even more, ordinary ones. Luo Feng looked forward to encountering such a creature.

“Hunting eternal true god-level beasts is still very difficult.” Luo Feng shook his head, no longer wasting time. “Let’s keep moving.”

Eternal true god-level beasts typically dwell in places suited to their bloodline Tianfu , making them exceptionally skilled at escape.

Huh.

The three of them resumed their journey toward Wei Yang City.

… Deep within the mountains, two void true god teams were locked in battle.

“We are Team Bing-1 of the Nine Banquet Pavilion of Wei Yang City. We’re only here gathering ingredients—please show some mercy.” A rock-being struggled to hold back the attackers. His team had originally numbered over a hundred; now all true gods were dead, leaving only three void true gods fighting desperately.

They never imagined such a relatively safe task could turn this deadly.

The ten shadowy figures attacking them showed no mercy, coordinating perfectly to annihilate them swiftly.

“No grudge, no feud—and you strike to kill? Then die, but take at least one of them with us.”

“Let’s fight to the end!”

The other two void true gods went berserk. One unfurled golden wings, unleashing terrifying ripples.

“Your speed is too slow.” A deep voice echoed.

The three void true gods of Team Bing-1, still in frenzy, suddenly disintegrated without a sound—their bodies, even their souls, dissolved instantly. Only their artifacts remained.

“General, we failed.” The ten gray shadows bowed respectfully.

!

“Continue. Kill every living being that enters this region.” The deep voice commanded.

“General,” the lead shadow dared to speak, “we were ordered to reach Wei Yang City by deadline. Today is the final day.”

“Do your duty.” The deep voice replied.

“Yes.”

The lead shadow said no more. The ten shadows silently guarded the vast region, killing any living thing that passed.

This vast region concealed a terrifying force, masking its core.

Within the core, a green plant grew, its tip bearing a small, crystalline blue-purple flower! Its fragrance spread, causing surrounding heavenly energies to grow chaotic.

Beside the plant sat a figure in black robes, guarding it.

“I never expected that leaving the Food Nation and coming to take up my post in Yu Nation’s Wei Yang City, I’d encounter a ‘Blue Purple Blood Crystal Flower’ blooming en route. When unripe, it looks ordinary, revealing no special traits. But once it blooms… its fragrance affects the soul, unmistakably so. The blooming period lasts about ten days—only after it naturally falls can it be used as medicine.” The black-robed figure’s eyes burned. “I’ve heard the Blue Purple Blood Crystal Flower only grows where divine kings once fought, their blood soaking the earth. This one flower is worth at least one hundred thousand cosmic sands.”

“All my weapons and treasures combined since I began cultivation are worth barely one or two ten thousand cosmic sands.” The black-robed figure’s eyes burned. “If any eternal true god discovers this, they’ll fight me for it. Even worse, if exposed, Wei Yang City’s military will come to kill me.”

“Only a few days remain until it naturally falls.” The black-robed figure waited patiently.

He would not allow any word of this to leak. Even though he’d concealed it well, he feared passing creatures might sense it—so he killed every one who passed.

Suddenly—

The black-robed figure frowned, flipping open his communication tablet.

“What is it?” he asked.

“Hei Duo Mo, why haven’t you reached Wei Yang City yet?” A voice as massive as a mountain rang out. “By Marquis’s order, today is the final day. You must arrive.”

“I was delayed by unforeseen matters. Please forgive me, Elder Zan Yun.” The black-robed figure chuckled. “Wei Yang City surely has no urgent matters requiring my immediate attention?”

“Wei Yang City is Yu Nation’s Wei Yang City. Our Food Nation’s branch here has always been critically short of eternal true gods.” The mountainous voice softened. “I won’t report your delay, but hurry to Wei Yang City.”

“Rest assured—I’ll arrive within ten days.” The black-robed figure replied.

The communication ended quickly.

The black-robed figure smiled, putting away the tablet. Military orders held little sway over eternal true gods. They were core pillars—minor infractions were rarely punished.

“Nothing matters more than this Blue Purple Blood Crystal Flower.” The black-robed figure gazed, entranced, at the flower blooming freely, releasing its fragrance.

Luo Feng, with Mo Luo Sa and Mo Yu Hu, flew through the void, heading straight for Wei Yang City.

“Hmm?” Luo Feng suddenly gazed far off, seeing distant mountains, sensing a terrifying force hidden within them—and faintly, a glimmer of blue-purple.

“A rare treasure?” Luo Feng’s mind stirred.

Among eternal true gods, there were vast differences.

Divine bodies varied in size, divine energy purity differed, the sources of laws mastered were distinct, and the secret arts and weapons possessed all affected an eternal true god’s strength.

As a perfect divine body, stronger than an “infinite divine body,” Luo Feng’s true form, when revealed, was vast and boundless. His perception range naturally far surpassed that of ordinary eternal true gods.

His perception range and sensitivity reached an unimaginable level. His control over aura was even capable of “perfection.” Even some ancient beings needed to rely on fate or spacetime techniques to glimpse even fragments of his true nature.

“There’s an eternal true god hiding there, masking the aura of a rare treasure.” Luo Feng’s eyes lit up. “Rare treasures are born of heaven and earth—ownerless. The capable take them!”

As he thought, Luo Feng casually stored Mo Yu Hu inside the Star Tower.
