Chapter 4: Luo Feng and Hei Duomo
“Ai—” Mo Yu Hu was slightly startled, then was taken away.
Mo Luo Sa grinned foolishly, gazing into the distance: “Master, are you ready to act? Do you need my help?” Even if he fought, he would unleash only Eternal True God techniques—he would rather die than use any Jieshoushouduan .
“If I need you to act, I’ll let you know.” Luo Feng was eager to fight; deep down, he loved combat, and since becoming an Eternal True God, he had yet to meet a worthy opponent.
“Alright.” Mo Luo Sa was slightly disappointed—he too longed for a satisfying battle.
“Stay here and watch. I’ll go take a look first.” Luo Feng said, already flying closer.
Mo Luo Sa stood high in the sky, watching the scene, thinking: “Master has only just become an Eternal True God—he hasn’t had time to cultivate powerful secret arts yet. I hope this opponent is strong enough, so I can finally join the fight.”
Mo Luo Sa’s heart itched.
Even without using Jieshoushouduan , merely through his understanding of the ‘Path of Destruction,’ Mo Luo Sa had already mastered numerous techniques.
“Hmm?” As Luo Feng flew closer, he noticed a spaceship carrying a squad of True Gods entering that region.
……
Inside the spaceship were one Void True God and over ten True Gods, carefully piloting toward Hu Yangcheng, avoiding dangerous zones along the way.
“Suo Zi, Suo Yun, you two will settle in Hu Yangcheng,” said the leader, a man with flowing hair. “Hu Yangcheng is a major city, teeming with True Gods; Void True Gods there are just ordinary members. You True Gods are merely bottom-tier.”
The two young men listened obediently.
This flowing-haired man was their tribe’s chieftain—the only Void True God in the entire tribe—who had once lived in Hu Yangcheng for many long years.
“Once in Hu Yangcheng, stay humble. Show off your treasures, and your life ends the next moment.” The chieftain said, “Humble, humble, still humble. Even if you’re the most talented in the tribe, you must stay humble—you’re still too weak.”
“Yes,” the two young men replied.
“As ordinary True Gods, as long as you don’t show off, no one will attack you. Hu Yangcheng has laws, order.” The chieftain said, “But if you flaunt yourself, you’ll vanish without a trace—Hu Yangcheng Guards can’t even find the killer.”
“Haha, Chieftain, you’ve said this so many times already.”
“These two kids will remember it well.”
Other members of the squad chuckled.
The chieftain smiled and nodded: “The first thing you must do upon reaching Hu Yangcheng is thoroughly examine your bloodline. Then seek a secret art suited to you. Hu Yangcheng holds countless opportunities—if you seize them, you may one day become Void True Gods.”
Both young men, Suo Zi and Suo Yun, had longing in their eyes.
They refused to spend their lives in the tribe, where they’d likely remain True Gods forever. They wanted to become Void True Gods, to see more of the world.
“Chieftain, rest assured—we’ve memorized how to survive in Hu Yangcheng,” Suo Yun said.
The chieftain nodded slightly, then suddenly his expression changed.
“Bad.” The chieftain’s aura surged instantly—he ignited his divine body, pouring all his divine power into controlling the spaceship. Layer upon layer of dazzling arrays appeared on its surface.
At that moment, ten terrifying shadows appeared simultaneously, their invisible forces merging into one, attacking the spaceship together.
“Military formation? Ten Void True Gods?” The chieftain knew it was dire. He had lived in Hu Yangcheng before, with plenty of experience—but after the deaths of his beloved and closest friends, he grew weary of its life, retreating to the wilds and settling in a weak tribe.
Over long years, he naturally became the tribe’s chieftain, drawing many weak True Gods to join him.
After all, those surviving in the wilds were usually very weak and impoverished True Gods. With a Void True God as their protector, a sizable tribe naturally formed.
“Boom—boom—boom—”
The ten shadows attacked in unison; layer upon layer of arrays on the spaceship flared and coordinated. Even if one or two arrays shattered, new ones immediately emerged.
“Not bad,” the ten shadows were surprised.
They were elite soldiers—the personal guards of General Hei Duomo! Few Void True Gods could resist even briefly their combined assault.
“Finish him quickly.”
“No delays.”
They feared their General’s wrath—letting him act himself would mean they were useless.
“Boom.” “Boom.” “Boom.” …
Each of the ten shadows surged their aura.
“What? Ten military elites—all igniting their divine bodies to fight to the death? I was just passing through!” The chieftain couldn’t believe it—what enmity could drive them to attack like this from the start?
The chieftain glanced at his tribesmen, eyes filled with regret.
“We won’t escape this time. We’ll all die here,” said the flowing-haired man.
The dozen or so True Gods in the tribe froze.
Suo Zi and Suo Yun, the two young True Gods, were stunned—just moments ago, they had dreamed of Hu Yangcheng’s wonders; now they were about to die?
They had been born in the tribe and had never even seen a major city.
“This is fate.”
“We’ve seen what we needed to see. We’ve lived what we needed to live.”
“It’s a pity Suo Yun and Suo Zi are so young—they’ve never even been to a big city.”
Most of the tribe’s other True Gods were calm—they were the tribe’s elite, having accompanied the chieftain to Hu Yangcheng many times for supplies and hunted beasts often, accustomed to life and death.
“So it’s finally my turn?” The chieftain waited calmly for fate, his eyes filled with memories.
The other True Gods in the tribe also gazed beyond the spaceship, watching the terrifying assault, each awaiting death’s arrival.
Suddenly—“What’s this?”
“This—”
The chieftain, Suo Zi, Suo Yun, and all their tribesmen stared in shock at the outside world—a black-haired man had appeared out of thin air, with a pair of dark golden horns and deep eyes.
The moment he appeared, the ten shadows fled in terror: “An Eternal True God!”
The chieftain reacted fastest, flying out immediately to bow respectfully: “I pay homage to Your Reverence!”
Luo Feng glanced at him, nodded slightly, then waved his hand and sealed away the entire spaceship—including the chieftain.
He might soon fight that unknown Eternal True God; even a stray ripple could kill these weaklings. Luo Feng didn’t want to drag innocents into his battle—he’d better secure them first.
Luo Feng then looked up, toward the spot where the powerful force lay hidden—the ten shadows had fled there too.
“I’ve seen you,” Luo Feng smiled.
The black-robed figure lurking afar was furious. Though his strength was immense—by the bloodline cultivation hierarchy, he had reached Eternal Eighth Layer, among the strongest of Eternal True Gods—
!.
But at this critical moment of harvesting the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower, he dared not risk any mishap.
The more he feared it, the more it came!
“This is my cultivation ground,” a terrifying force released a faint ripple, and a low voice echoed, “Esteemed Divine Lord, please leave.”
“Divine Lord” was a respectful title on the Origin Continent.
“Cultivation ground?” Luo Feng laughed. “I sensed the aura of a heavenly treasure!”
From the area shrouded in terrifying power, a black-robed figure materialized.
The black-robed figure’s face was dark with rage. He had done his best to conceal his aura—but the aura of a heavenly treasure was too subtle. To perfectly hide it usually required the power of a Chaos Sovereign.
“The Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower blooms for only ten days. In these ten days, besides me, another Eternal True God passed by—and he sensed the treasure’s aura,” the black-robed figure sighed inwardly.
After appearing, the black-robed figure gazed across at Luo Feng.
Their gazes clashed.
“There is indeed a heavenly treasure—but I discovered it first,” the black-robed figure said. “Whoever dares to steal it—I kill them.”
He was gambling.
He gambled that Luo Feng, unaware of the heavenly treasure’s identity, wouldn’t risk attacking.
But he didn’t know that Luo Feng, aside from a few most vital treasures, was utterly destitute and desperately needed treasures to exchange for resources. And Luo Feng had been lonely and isolated in the Primitive Universe for far too long—he longed for a great battle.
“I’d very much like to try,” Luo Feng’s eyes burned with battle intent.
“You’re forcing me,” the black-robed figure sighed softly. The surrounding heavens and earth instantly darkened further; the ten shadow guards beside him disintegrated without a sound. As they died, they couldn’t believe it.
“You killed your own men?” Luo Feng was puzzled.
“When they learned of the heavenly treasure, they were already dead,” the black-robed figure said calmly. “They could’ve lived a few more days—killed after the matter was settled. But you came!”
For ordinary treasures, killing guards was unnecessary—Hei Duomo could handle the scrutiny.
But the Blue-Purple Blood Crystal Flower was too precious. Exposure would bring too many troubles—he doubted he could withstand them. So Hei Duomo’s solution was simple: kill every living being near this area. His ten loyal guards? He never intended to spare them.
“Tell me your name. An Eternal True God deserves to be remembered,” the black-robed figure spoke.
“If you’re going to die, there’s no need to know too much,” Luo Feng said.
The black-robed figure laughed in furious rage.
He didn’t want to fight lightly because no Eternal True God on the Origin Continent could be underestimated—anyone might pull out a terrifying treasure. But that didn’t mean he lacked confidence!
Hei Duomo, at Eternal Eighth Layer, was among the strongest of Eternal True Gods—otherwise, he wouldn’t have been assigned to oversee affairs in Hu Yangcheng.
“This old hand is cautious. This Eternal True God has no sense of his place,” the black-robed figure thought, unleashing his killing technique instantly.
“Hmm?” Luo Feng sensed it.
Some unknown fundamental law was being pried open.
A black-silver spiked cone materialized out of nowhere.
Its surface was covered in dense, swirling runes, radiating terrifying power. It appeared directly before Luo Feng, its speed warping space and slightly distorting time.
Luo Feng’s body was small, but as a perfect divine body, he could change size at will—though he appeared small, he was in truth immense. And from his home’s miniature universe, divine power continuously gathered, flowing into his True God Heart, allowing his divine body to keep growing.
The black-silver spike was about half his height, slamming into his chest—“Boom!!!” As if two colossal mountains collided at super-speed, even Luo Feng’s perfect divine body was shoved back a step, the recoil shaking the void.
Then another spike, then another, materialized out of nowhere.
They appeared already at Luo Feng’s front!
One spike struck his skull, another his back, another his face… each spike attacked from all directions.
Nineteen spikes in total!
The nineteen spikes coordinated perfectly, their devastating strikes flowing like an endless tide, driving destruction into Luo Feng’s body, seeking to obliterate his divine form.
Each spike also carried strange toxins, seeping into Luo Feng’s body, corroding his consciousness.
"Rule toxin?" Luo Feng noticed it, his eyes glinting with excitement. "How intriguing."
It has been too long since I encountered such an interesting opponent.
