Chapter 117: Nightmare Circus, the Arrogant Clown Monster!
The clown laughed hideously, its body gradually swelling, its arms becoming extremely thick and muscular, as if it intended to tear everyone before it to shreds.
Its laughter echoed throughout the entire tent, so piercing that it made one want to cover their ears.
"Are you ready? Let me get a good look at your fear!"
Before the words had even faded, the clown swung its hand violently, its sharp nails sweeping across toward the group with astonishing speed.
Lina dodged to the side instinctively, nearly getting slashed.
"Ah!" she shrieked, nearly falling to the ground.
Ling Qiu quickly drew a short blade and blocked in front of herself, but the clown's strength was too great; although she blocked the attack, she was still knocked back several steps by the force.
Jiude Mai had long since hidden in a corner, terrified, not daring to step forward at all, her hands and feet trembling: "No... we can't beat it at all! What do we do! Big Brother Su Qiu, please think of something!"
"Stop!"
Su Qiu's voice rang out coldly, and the three-foot-long green-hued sword in his hand had already been unsheathed.
He did not hesitate in the slightest, charging straight forward.
"I'll deal with it!"
Seeing Su Qiu charge over, the clown monster's shrill laughter became even more piercing, and it swung its arms violently, attempting to tear the enemy before it to shreds in one blow.
However, Su Qiu had been prepared; his figure flickered like a ghost, dodging that lethal attack.
"You're too slow!"
Su Qiu said in a low voice, his sword moving as fast as lightning, instantly slashing toward the clown monster's body.
The sharp blade sliced across the monster's skin, emitting a harsh sound, but the monster's body seemed tougher than imagined, leaving only a shallow wound.
The clown monster let out a crazed scream, its twisted face becoming even more hideous: "You think this little bit of damage can hurt me? I am eternal!"
Su Qiu did not pause, pushing off with his feet once more to quickly circle behind the monster, his sword swinging repeatedly to strike the monster's vital points with precision.
Although the wounds grew deeper each time, the clown monster still did not fall, instead becoming even more frantic.
Lina was sweating profusely with anxiety on the sidelines: "This won't work! It won't fall at all!"
Ling Qiu's expression was grave as she said coldly: "This monster is not simple; we must find its weakness, otherwise we will only be hunted by it forever!"
Su Qiu's gaze was sharp; he ignored their discussion and kept his eyes locked on the clown monster.
He knew that relying on strength alone would not solve this problem.
"Big Brother Su Qiu! What should we do?!" Jiude Mai had completely broken down, nearly on the verge of tears.
Su Qiu replied coldly: "Don't panic!"
Just then, the monster let out a piercing laugh, swung its arms again, and lunged violently toward Su Qiu.
Su Qiu quickly took a step back to avoid the attack, then exerted force suddenly, his blade slashing toward its chest once more.
This time, Su Qiu's attack was even more ferocious, the blade nearly splitting the monster's body in two.
The monster let out a scream, its body twisting violently, appearing to have suffered significant damage.
"It's effective!" Su Qiu shouted, his eyes becoming even more determined.
Watching Su Qiu's movements, Lina immediately understood something: "It fears attacks! It's not invincible!"
"That's right! Focus attacks on its vitals!" Su Qiu said in a deep voice, his sword continuing to swing without mercy.
Ling Qiu also reacted quickly and immediately joined the battle.
Although her short blade was not as sharp as Su Qiu's sword, it could still leave wounds on the monster's body.
The two cooperated with tacit understanding, continuously attacking the monster's vitals.
The clown monster roared crazily, the twisting of its body becoming more pronounced; its movements gradually slowed, and its strength seemed to be waning as well.
"Hahaha! You... you won't win! I am immortal!"
The monster's laughter became increasingly shrill, but its body grew weaker, as if it were gradually collapsing.
Su Qiu did not give it any chance to catch its breath, his sword slashing down with great force once again.
This time, the blade pierced directly through the monster's heart.
The clown monster let out one final scream, its body trembling violently, and finally transformed into a pile of twisted fragments, disappearing completely.
"It's over!" Su Qiu said in a low voice, sheathing his sword and letting out a long breath.
Lina and Jiude Mai finally relaxed, both collapsing to the ground at almost the same time.
"That was too terrifying!" Lina panted, her face deathly pale.
"We... we were almost done for..." Jiude Mai's voice carried a lingering sense of dread, fear still remaining in her eyes.
Ling Qiu looked at the fragments on the ground and said coldly: "This guy isn't that simple; was it really solved this easily?"
Su Qiu glanced at her and said in a deep voice: "At least for now, it won't move again. We have to keep moving forward!"
【Damn! Big Brother Su's move was too ruthless, he completely smashed the clown!】
【That sword strike just now was insanely cool, piercing straight through the heart! The clown is done for!】
【I feel like it's not over yet; this place is too sinister, it's impossible for it to end this easily!】
【Lina and Mai are about to collapse, Ling Qiu is quite steady, but Big Brother Su is truly amazing!】
Su Qiu stood there, his expression calm, looking at the shattered clown monster on the ground.
The atmosphere fell briefly silent, and none of them spoke.
Lina, Ling Qiu, and Jiude Mai had not yet recovered from the lingering fear of the moment, their eyes fixed directly on Su Qiu.
Lina was the first to speak, her voice full of admiration: "Big Brother Su Qiu... you really are too amazing! I've never seen anyone solve this kind of monster so easily! If it weren't for you, we might have already..."
As she spoke, she couldn't continue, her eyes filled with deep reverence.
Jiude Mai also crowded over, her nervous little hands clutching her hem, her voice timid: "Big Brother Su Qiu, you really are too strong, I... I've never seen anyone so powerful. That monster just now was simply too scary, I almost thought we were going to die... how did you do it?"
Jiude Mai also leaned in, her small, nervous hands clutching the corner of her clothes, her voice timid: "Big Brother Su Qiu, you are truly too strong; I—I have never seen anyone so formidable."
"That monster from just now was simply too terrifying; I almost thought we were going to die. How did you do it?"
Her large eyes shone with surprise, as if Su Qiu were the hero in her heart.
Although Ling Qiu was not as excited as the two of them, a trace of admiration also appeared in her eyes.
She said coldly, "You are indeed not simple. Watching you strike earlier, I thought you were just an ordinary Destiny Person, but now it seems you really have something!"
Su Qiu glanced at her and replied indifferently, "This place is not that simple. Everyone must be careful and not let their guard down!"
Lina nodded immediately, her face full of worship: "Mm! Big Brother Su Qiu is right! We must follow you closely; you are much more experienced than us! From now on, I will follow you. No matter what Guiyi we encounter next, I believe you can lead us through the difficulties!"
Jiude Mai hurriedly followed suit and nodded: "Yes, yes, Big Brother Su Qiu, you are simply a legendary figure among Destiny Persons. I am so lucky to be able to form a team with you! I... I don't even know what to say. In short, I will listen to whatever you say! I definitely won't hold you back!"
Ling Qiu stood to the side; although she didn't say much, she did not refute either, appearing to tacitly approve of Su Qiu's leadership position.
【Su God's popularity is truly invincible! The girls have all been conquered, hahaha!】
【Lina's adoration this time is truly sincere; Su God's charm is simply off the charts!】
【Although Ling Qiu has a sharp tongue, it's clear she also acknowledges Su God, no doubt about it!】
【Little cutie Mai is completely captivated by Su God's existence as a lifesaver!】
Su Qiu glanced at them and waved his hand: "Alright, stop saying those unnecessary things, we must continue moving forward."
"That was just the first level; there's no telling what's waiting for us ahead. Don't think you can relax just because we dealt with one clown!"
The few of them nodded and immediately followed behind Su Qiu, continuing to walk forward.
They had just stepped out of the Circus Area when another area shrouded in darkness appeared ahead.
In the distance, a dilapidated Amusement Park could be vaguely seen; the silhouettes of a Ferris Wheel and a Roller Coaster loomed in the darkness, and a Guiyi atmosphere once again enveloped the surroundings.
"What is that place?" Lina asked, her voice tinged with unease.
Su Qiu stared ahead and said coldly, "An Amusement Park. It looks like another Guiyi level!"
"An Amusement Park?" Upon hearing this, Jiude Mai's face turned even paler: "A place like this must have many terrifying things. Do we really have to go in?"
Ling Qiu remained as calm as ever and said indifferently, "Nonsense, do you intend to stop here and wait for death?"
Su Qiu waved his hand: "There is no other way to go. Keep moving forward, let's go in and see first!"
The few of them looked at each other, and in the end, they followed Su Qiu, walking step by step toward the Amusement Park in the darkness.
As they approached, the Guiyi feeling in the Amusement Park became increasingly intense.
The Ferris Wheel in the distance suddenly began to turn slowly, emitting a harsh "creak-creak" sound, as if something were pushing it.
The streetlights in the Amusement Park flickered on and off, as if they could go out at any moment. The surroundings were empty, and only the Guiyi atmosphere was suffocating.
"This place..." Lina swallowed her saliva and asked in a low voice, "It doesn't look like a normal Amusement Park at all..."
"You still expect there to be anything normal here?" Ling Qiu said coldly, "Nothing in this entire Dong Wu Yuan has been normal since we entered!"
Su Qiu ignored their conversation and kept his gaze fixed ahead. He always felt that this place was full of unknown dangers, but he had to lead the others to continue moving forward.
Suddenly, a few Guiyi noises came from the Roller Coaster tracks ahead.
The group looked over vigilantly, only to see that the long-rusted roller coaster carriage had started on its own, slowly beginning to climb along the tracks.
"It moved by itself!" Jiude Mai was so scared that she hid directly behind Lina, her voice trembling.
Su Qiu's eyes sharpened, signaling everyone not to act rashly, and he stared intently at the Guiyi roller coaster.
When the roller coaster climbed to the highest point, it suddenly emitted a huge sound and then dived down at high speed. On the seats in the carriage sat several distorted shadows, like ghosts trapped in the carriage, emitting bursts of Guiyi laughter.
"Hahahaha—"
Lina retreated a few steps in fear, her face pale: "What... what are those?!"
"Don't mind them!" Su Qiu said in a low voice: "Don't move yet, see what they want to do!"
The roller coaster sped over their heads and then stopped abruptly. The ghosts' laughter gradually disappeared, and the entire Amusement Park fell into a Guiyi silence once again. Ling Qiu frowned and asked coldly, "Are they gone?"
Su Qiu shook his head: "I don't know. This place is not simple; we must be ready to deal with emergencies at any time!"
"Big Brother Su Qiu, do we really have to walk in?" Jiude Mai's voice was full of fear; clearly, she had been badly frightened by the Guiyi scene before her.
Su Qiu glanced at her and nodded slightly: "Don't be afraid. As long as you follow me, we can resolve these Guiyi!"
Lina took a deep breath and gathered her courage to say: "Mm! I believe in you! Let's go together!"
The few of them continued walking forward, passing through the roller coaster area of the Amusement Park, and arrived beside a dilapidated Carousel.
The carousel was hung with tattered colored lights that flickered on and off. The wooden horses were turning slowly, but there was not a single person around.
"This place is too Guiyi..." Lina looked around nervously and said in a low voice.
"Stop talking, focus on walking!" Su Qiu said without looking back.
Suddenly, the carousel made a creaking sound. The several puppets sitting on the wooden horses actually turned their heads slowly, their eyes staring fixedly at them, with Guiyi smiles hanging on the corners of their mouths.
"Hahaha—"
That Guiyi laughter rang out again. The puppets' mouths opened simultaneously, emitting a harsh sound: "Welcome to the Weird Amusement Park! Are you ready?"
Lina covered her ears, her face turning even paler: "It's here again! What the hell is this thing!"
Ling Qiu gripped the short blade in her hand and said coldly, "These things seem to be toying with us!"
Su Qiu stared intently at the puppets and said in a low voice, "They want us to participate in their game!"
The puppets' laughter became increasingly harsh, the speed of the carousel gradually increased, and the surrounding lights also became more and more Guiyi.
"Hahaha! The next challenge will be even more interesting! Are you ready to welcome our game?"
【Damn, these puppets are too Guiyi! I feel like something big is going to happen!】
【Su God, hurry and think of a way. These things are too evil, what do we do?!】
【Lina and Mai are probably about to break down, but Ling Qiu has been calm the whole time, I admire her!】
【The Amusement Park is really terrifying. The Guiyi laughter and the carousel are scary enough to kill!】
Su Qiu walked in front, with the girls following closely behind him, all of them wearing nervous expressions.
The sound of the carousel gradually disappeared behind them, and ahead lay an even more Guiyi dark area.
Su Qiu did not relax his vigilance, his sword still gripped tightly in his hand, ready to strike at any moment.
"What are we going to do next?" Lina asked in a low voice, clearly not yet fully recovered from the fear just now.
Su Qiu tilted his head to glance at her and said softly, "Don't be anxious, keep moving forward."
"Every stage in this place has its own puzzle; only by solving the puzzle can we get out."
"We must pay attention to every detail!"
"A puzzle?" Jiude Mai asked nervously, "Will the puzzles here be very difficult? I... I'm not very good at solving puzzles!"
Su Qiu smiled, and although he didn't turn his head to look at her, his tone carried a hint of confidence: "Don't worry, these things aren't too hard; you can solve them by using your brain a little."
"You just need to follow me and don't make any mistakes!"
【Damn, Su-god's words are truly domineering!】
【As expected of Su-god, even something like puzzle-solving seems so effortless; how cool is that!】
【Mai-sister has been completely conquered; she's probably thinking right now, 'Big Brother Su Qiu is too amazing!'】
【Su-god's aura is really strong; just hearing him say it makes it feel like there's no problem at all!】
Su Qiu led the few people to continue moving forward, and they gradually approached a dim area where the lights ahead flickered on and off, looking like abandoned amusement facilities.
Su Qiu stopped his steps and scanned the surroundings, discovering several strange symbols on the ground that looked like they had been drawn with chalk.
He squatted down, looked at those symbols carefully, and frowned.
"This is... a hint!" Su Qiu said softly, pointing at the symbols on the ground: "It seems we need to solve the meaning of these symbols to continue moving forward!"
Lina squatted down and stared at those symbols, her face full of confusion: "What is this? I don't understand it at all!"
Su Qiu smiled, pointed at a few symbols at random, and explained patiently: "These symbols represent time and direction."
"If I haven't guessed wrong, they should be hints on how we should walk to avoid the traps here!"
Ling Qiu stood to the side and said coldly, "Are you sure?"
Su Qiu raised his head to look at her, the corners of his mouth slightly raised: "I'm sure!"
After he finished speaking, he stood up and began to walk in the direction indicated by the symbols.
His pace was relaxed and natural, as if he were completely confident.
Seeing this, the few women also hurriedly followed.
"Follow me closely, don't go the wrong way!" Su Qiu said without looking back, his tone revealing a sense of calm and confidence.
Lina followed him closely, her eyes full of admiration: "Big Brother Su Qiu, you are truly amazing! How did you solve these symbols so quickly? I couldn't understand them at all!"
Su Qiu chuckled and said indifferently: "It's nothing; these symbols are just some basic hints, anyone who knows a little bit of symbology can see them!"
Jiude Mai widened her eyes, her face full of surprise: "Symbology? Big Brother Su Qiu, you even know this? Just how amazing are you! You're practically omnipotent!"
Su Qiu smiled and waved his hand: "Knowing a little more never hurts, especially in a place like this."
"Let's go, keep moving forward!"
They carefully moved forward along the route Su Qiu had solved, and sure enough, they did not encounter any traps with every step.
After walking for a while, the view ahead gradually became clear, and at the end of the darkness appeared a huge Rotating Lighthouse, the top of which emitted a faint light, illuminating the Guiyi scene all around.
"What is that?" Lina pointed at the lighthouse and asked in a low voice.
Su Qiu took a look and said lightly: "It's very likely another puzzle; we have to go over and take a look!"
The few people slowly approached the lighthouse and discovered a row of strange devices at the base of the lighthouse, which looked like some kind of switch.
Each switch was engraved with different symbols, and these symbols looked exactly the same as the ones they had seen before.
"It seems we have to crack these switches to continue moving forward!" Su Qiu pointed at those symbols and began to study them carefully.
Lina leaned over, her face full of doubt: "But these symbols... I really don't understand them, Big Brother Su Qiu, can you solve them?"
Su Qiu chuckled, his fingers sliding lightly over those symbols: "Of course I can."
"I just memorized the meaning of these symbols, and now I just need to trigger them in order!"
As he spoke, he gently pressed a few switches.
With every press he made, the light on the lighthouse grew brighter by a fraction.
When he pressed the last switch, the light at the top of the lighthouse flared up violently, the entire area was instantly illuminated, and the lighthouse emitted a low, rumbling sound, as if some mechanism had been activated.
"Done!" Su Qiu stood up, clapped his hands, his eyes revealing confidence.
Lina's eyes were full of surprise: "Big Brother Su Qiu, you are truly amazing! You can even solve such a complex puzzle so easily!"
Jiude Mai looked at him with admiration, so excited she was somewhat incoherent: "That's right, that's right, Big Brother Su Qiu, you are simply a god! Did you learn these things since you were a child? How can you be so amazing!"
Although Ling Qiu remained expressionless, there was a hint of imperceptible admiration in her eyes: "You do have some skills!"
【Su-god is indeed a genius; he's so slick with this symbology!】
【Hahaha, Su-god's puzzle-solving this time is just too cool! Lina and Mai are going to be obsessed with him!】
【Ling Qiu is starting to be convinced too, right? I see her being cold with her words, but she's already acknowledged Su-god in her heart!】
【Su-god is really something else; both his IQ and EQ are online, and he can even act so natural!】
Su Qiu ignored their praises, instead looking at the direction illuminated by the lighthouse's light, signaling everyone to continue forward.
"Let's go, this is just one of the puzzles; we need to hurry and find the next clue!"
The few people followed Su Qiu again and walked into the area illuminated by the lighthouse.
The road ahead was still full of unknown dangers, but with Su Qiu leading, the few people all felt much more at ease.
They walked for a distance when they suddenly heard a dull sound of footsteps coming from afar.
The sound grew closer and heavier, as if something huge were approaching.
"Something is coming again!" Lina shouted nervously.
"Get ready, it might be a monster again!" Su Qiu said in a low voice, the sword in his hand already unsheathed.
Sure enough, as the footsteps grew closer, a huge monster walked out from the darkness.
Its body was incomparably tall, like a deformed giant beast, its whole body covered in thick scales, its limbs thick and powerful, and with every step it took, the ground emitted a "thump-thump" vibrating sound.
"What kind of monster is this?" Jiude Mai was so frightened she nearly fell, her voice trembling.
"No matter what it is, it must be dealt with!" Su Qiu said coldly, his eyes filled with determination.
The monster let out a low growl, opened its massive mouth, and lunged fiercely toward them.
Lina was so scared she took several steps back, while Ling Qiu immediately drew a short blade, preparing for battle.
"Stay out of this, leave it to me!" Su Qiu shouted, pushing off the ground with his feet, his entire body rushing forward like a bolt of lightning.
The sword in his hand was as fast as lightning, stabbing directly toward the monster's neck.
Although the monster's scales were tough, Su Qiu's sword still precisely pierced its vital point; the massive monster let out a painful roar, its body swaying violently as it tried to shake Su Qiu off.
However, Su Qiu's movements were not the least bit sluggish; he tapped his feet lightly and his body, like an agile swallow, swiftly dodged the monster's attack.
Immediately following, he backhanded his sword, stabbing toward the other side of the monster again, his movements precise, crisp, and clean.
